   Unfortunately we were unable to attend and enjoy our meal as the restaurant phoned to cancel our booking saying that a private hire had taken over the whole restaurant. This was extremely disappointing given this was a Christmas outing and very bad form of the restaurant.

   Horrid experience. Mix up with our order, no apology, not rectified, long wait to pay our bill even though we were the only table in the restaurant. Probably the most expensive restaurant on West Street I've been to and yet the worst service. There are others in other parts of Sheffield center of the same price that are 1000 times better.

   I’m guessing he’s the manager. He’s extremely rude. maybe ask customers on how to improve a customers experience instead of having an immediate attitude

   We waited very long for the food (about an hour for starters and then another 25-30 mins for the mains). The food was really good though.

   Everything about this place from the welcome, the atmosphere (including decor and music), the service and the food where A**********. One of my new favourite places. Thank you for an amazing first time experience! Highly recommend!

   Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the experience at BEJU as it was over rated and the restaurant was trying to reach a 5 star standard it is far from. Myself, my boyfriend and two of our friends were very much looking forward to the food and drinks. It was expensive and I was expecting a better service from the staff. We were sat at the bottom of the restaurant where the DJ stand is. This was the main problem of the meal due to the fact, we felt like it was a nightclub and had to literally shout across the table to have a conversation. Several times we asked the staff if we could move up the room if it would make any difference as it wasn’t worth it. The manager would turn down the music and the DJ would turn it back up. Seen as it wasn’t a cheap meal and we wanted the full experience we ordered the starters and then cancelled the mains. It was a shame as if the atmosphere would of been correct, it would of been brilliant. Don’t get me wrong the music choice and playlist were top tier but I came out with an headache. After the staff apologised to us plenty of times we found it more frustrating as they were not solving the situation. By the end of the meal which were only starters, I asked for a reduction of the receipt. They took off the service charge which is optional anyways. By all means come for cocktails and nibbles but we will certainly not be returning.

   Although we had a great time and we would go back the waiting time from when we arrived at 5.15pm to when we were served at 6.15 was too long . The starters arrived and the main course within minutes after. We then ordered 1 brownie dessert which took half hour. There was a large party in at the time so this could have been the proble.

   It was my sisters birthday, I booked a table for 4 people at 8pm. Upon arrival had to wait 15 minutes to be seated as they hadn’t cleaned up after the previous guests. Once seated we weren’t given any menus and waited ten minutes for someone to come to our table for me to ask them to provide us with a menu. Starters took over 40 minutes to come out in which we ordered two rounds of drinks but again the server did not actually put our drinks through so we had to re order. This is my second time visiting beju, the first time was so welcoming and friendly and the service was so impeccable, however, this time I was left disappointed and felt extremely gutted that my sisters birthday was spoiled because of this experience. Even the waitress acknowledged the poor service and herself said that she’d take the service charge off. I don’t know if I would visit again.

    Terrible service from start. Sat at bar and no drinks menu. Sat down to meal and we were sat upstairs and not actually down stairs in main restaurant and I had to watch men toilets all night! Given one menu. Asked for side plates and came 30 mins later! Average food very overpriced. Waiters not helpful and kept trying to take our full glasses away. Offered desert menu before mains had arrived. Then we asked for a desert which came 45 mins later and still frozen. Asked to speak to management and not helpful at all. We have been to Beju twice now and twice poor service and average food. Mutton dressed as lamb restaurant.
