There were 3 tables at the highest time of traffic and our server was almost always no where to be found. End up being served by another server.
Excellent. A bit overpriced, but great fresh seafood. Great!
I brought my fiancé here for Valentine’s Day and we had a great time. Food was great, our server Anna was outstanding. Did not see a single employee without a smile on their face. Everyone was very kind and attentive. We stayed for about 4 hours because time flys when you’re having fun. The only little complaint I had was that the light bulbs where we were sat would flicker quite abit but we easily ended up ignoring it. Overall had an excellent experience and we will be returning soon. :)
The service was amazing. The staff was great. The flavor of the food did not stand out. I wanted my mouth to dance, I was really looking forward to be blown away. But fell short pretty hard. Fried shrimp had no flavor. The gyoza was probably the best tasting thing on the menu. Even desert was weak, chocolate cake? No, it was more of a moose, and was tiny. The atmosphere was great. Again staff was awesome and super friendly!
Great food, good prices. Cocktail were okay but I’d go back for the crab legs.
Family friendly, friendly servers, good bartenders, food is good, somthing for everyone, I just had my birthday dinner here and it's a fun place to have a party
$60 for dinner. Came with a cocktail, appetizers, entree, and dessert. Very great value for the amount of food. Not sure if that would be the case for regular prices for dinner.
Our server Richard was A1! Very calculated and came by at the right time to check on us. Had great suggestions. Food was great. Would ask for extra spicy next time. Would def go back.
Poor Boy was good.
Fettuccine with seafood was good, but lacked salt and needed more sauce.
Onion rings were greasy and somewhat soggy.
Poke appetizer was somewhat bland.
No coffee—told they were out.
Waitress very nice but lacked experience.
Place was empty compared to other area restaurants.
Maybe does better for happy hour?
Great dineLA deal.
Food is mostly very good: skip dessert. Service was very variable and dishes came out singly and at weird intervals.
Exceeded my expectations! Food was great. The drinks were tasty too.
The place is small but you cant miss it. The dinner area is bigger than the happy hour area and I thought that was weird. The menu is a tad bit expensive, the Dine LA options they give were minimal so i opted for happy hour.
I ordered the pork belly, ahi tuna crisps, buffalo wings and a shrimp po boy. I looooved the ahi tuna crisps but did not enioy the pork belly or the mushy buffalo wings. The shrimp po boy had some sauce on it that was not appealing but the fries were good. I would definitely recommend happy hour, dinner, I dont know
the place was neat and lots of room the service was outstanding and food was great plan to go back in the future
Great food, great location and great customer service.
Food was good. Except for the peaches desert, they were grilled, but they must of not cleaned the grill cause they tasted like meat. The drinks were ok they could be better. Overall it was ok.
Our server was great. Food was delicious. Pricing was a bit high. I am glad that this facility was part of the DineLA experience. Although it took awhile to obtain our food, it was worth the wait.
Vibrant environment, friendly servers, fresh high quality seafood, but most of the dishes were WAY too salty! The garlic noodles were tasty except it was too salty. After two bites, it was hard to keep eating. The seafood platter was good sized but again, salt overpowered every other flavor. The loaded pork belly fries were good, though it's basically fries with bacon bits and cheese sauce. I wouldn't come again because the food was just very mediocre.
We were there for Dine LA and dinner menu was fantastic! Great value and many, many delicious things in the menu to choose from. Will definitely go back very soon to try other things. Service was also very good!
The food was good but too salty. No need for extra salt, cajun seasoning has enough sodium. Other than that we enjoyed our experience.
Food was flavorless and for the price it was not worth it.
Great atmosphere. Good food. Good food portion. Could do better on the deserts, but service was impeccable.
The staff was very nice however they did mention that they were short staffed. Once we sat down...it was a very long time before we were helped. Many of the entrees and drinks we ordered were not available. We spent about $300 in all and I would rather have gone somewhere else to spend that kind of money.
If you love Cajun food, you will love this place. The quality of the food was excellent. I will eat here the next time I am in Pasadena.
Restaurant and food was great! (Especially the crab wontons). Only challenge is parking in Old Town Pasadena, with the one way streets in scope. Not very “driver” friendly. Outside of that, it makes for a great experience!
They were not managing open table reservations well. Had to wait 20 mins for our table. Another 10+ mins for a waitress to stop by. When finally ordering, we were told the kitchen was backed up so it would be at least 25 mins for our food. It ended up being an hour from our original reservation time when our food arrived.
Dinner for 3 early New Years Eve. First time visiting Beer & Claw. We were pleasantly surprised by how generously sized the plates were. The food was all outstanding and the service was friendly and reasonably quick. Amazing beer list, huge menu, we will go back.
We really enjoyed trying this restaurant in Pasadena. The service was amazing and the food was fabulous!
This is a great place for casual dining - esp with a large group. We lunched here for a family Holiday gathering and the staff was so accommodating. It was clean and spacious and most of all, the food was delicious! The heat level was spot on. We like our food spicy and they delivered! Recommend the house made chicharones and even though they are named Beer & Claw, their cocktails are really good as well. What a great find in Old Town Pas!
I love this place and it was only the first time coming! Lunch menu was very reasonable and the food was great! Will be coming again definitely’
The atmosphere was good however the service was not. Our server was either new and untrained or just didn't know or care what she was doing. We ordered appetizers but one of our entrees came out at the same time as one of our appetizers. When the calamari finally came out it was cold and rubbery. We ordered fish and chips but only got the fish. Apparently we had to ask for the chips! The salad we ordered came to the table dry. No dressing. Our server stated because we didn't mention it she didn't think we wanted it, but we were never told what our options were. The food had decent flavor although a bit over salted. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
