The Beehive is an underground Bohemian eatery and bar featuring fabulous cuisine, libations, artwork and world class live music. Nestled below the Boston Center for the Art’s historic Cyclorama in Boston’s South End, The Beehive serves the eclectic fare of Chef Ryan Skeen - rustic comfort food infused with American, Mediterranean influences.

The Beehive accepts reservations for guests who are consuming food with beverages under MA State Law Covid 19 regulations. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are strongly recommended. Patio reservations may need to be canceled or moved to inside dining room if there is inclement weather.

Due to Covid guidelines all tables have 90 minutes to enjoy the Beehive experience. Please call us or use the Opentable app to cancel a reservation to avoid a $25 per person no show fee.

Really fun for a ladies night out in the South End. Food was amazing and fun cocktails. It can get a little noisy but wasn't too bad at an upstairs table in the bar area. Highly recommend!!

Food was good and we went on a Thursday night for the live music. The one big major downside was our waiter, who insisted on telling us how much time we had remaining every single time he came by the table, even when we'd only been sitting for 15 minutes. There were open tables around us too so there was no reason to be rushed. Very odd and ruined the mood but I have been here a handful of times and always had good experiences before, so I will likely go back and just hope for a different waiter.

Lovely atmosphere and live music at night. The food was great (especially the appetizers!), although the burger I had was too well done for my liking (my fault not the kitchen staff). Also the service was impeccable, servers and staff were attentive and fixed any issues quickly! While a little loud, thats the point, there’s live music and ambience among other things, this is not a location for an intimate conversation.

The food was very good, but a little bit on the cool side, so that's why the 4-stars. We were seated upstairs instead of in the main dining area where the stage is. A lot of kids were running around and making noise as well, which took away from the ambiance. Overall very good.

Booked a table for the family on Mother’s Day to enjoy the live music with the kids. This is a very adult place since the menu options weren’t appealing for my 10 year old. The wait staff was excellent t despite it being so busy. All in all the food was good but grossly over priced for the experience. It may be due to mothers day but I’ve had better brunch at better prices in many different cities and this was overrated!

I took my girlfriend here for our fifth anniversary. Great food and cocktails and we were pleasantly surprised by live music! Conversation wasn’t exactly possible being 10ft from the stage, but it was so cool! The food was extraordinary and we had a blast!

Food is incredibly overpriced, with an all-american breakfast (2 eggs, choice of sausage/bacon, side of potatoes) running you $24. We found a long hair in our cocktail on the second attempt to bring out the right drink we ordered (wasn't comped, which on it's own would've been fine, but added to the overall bad experience). Made 10am reservations. We were seated upstairs and not down with the band and better atmosphere, as requested Girl was a bit flip about her justification on holding 90 percent of the tables for the later reservation and that "everyone asks for that and requests are not guaranteed". We have been coming for 10 years for jazz brunch and felt slighted this occasion.

Love this spot. Vanessa was our server-- she was fantastic, knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. Food was amazing, came out quickly, and the drinks were bomb. Definitely try the mezcal one if you get a chance (and this is coming from someone who actively dislikes mezcal). Prices were pretty much on par with other similar Boston restaurants, but the portion sizes seemed bigger/better value. As someone who works in the service industry, I really appreciate the experience we had here and the care with which this restaurant is obviously run. We'll be back! :)

I’m not usually one to leave a review- I was seeing a friend I have not seen for a while, catching up over dinner. our waitress was rude, dismissive, and rushing us. It was only when she did not split the bill and ran them both on one card that she apologized and said she’s exhausted, is working too much, and has to work again tomorrow. Our reservation was at 7, we didn’t think we were inconveniencing her for being there very late. At promptly 730 a manager came over explaining they were still enforcing a 90 minute limit. We said “oh sorry we weren’t aware that was still in effect in the city!” And he said “yes, we are a destination restaurant.” Unclear what that means. We had full glasses of wine and said we would leave asap, when he said they needed the table now and we could stand to finish our drinks. The experience was unsettling.

Had a full on lobster dinner prior to arriving so was looking to get dessert and some drinks. Was notified we both had to purchase a dinner to sit at a table. I wish we would have known this ahead of time. Offered to spend $40 on 2 appetizers plus drinks and they still forced us to move to the bar. We didn’t mind just wishes we knew ahead of time!
