Great place for live music and food. It was so good I went twice!
Amazing food & ambience!!!
Loved it! We came from Mexico to visit boston and they told us this was a must go to place.. and indeed it is! Great experience, nothing similar!
Too noisy but very lively. Live band was pretty good. I liked the decor.
Great band, food and service!
When I suggested a jazz brunch to family I didn't realize how loud it would be. It was great for listening but not for talking and, had I realized, I would have asked for a table farther from the band, but it was quite full when we were seated so it may not have mattered.
Service was very slow and rather indifferent. I added an appetizer order to the drinks and that came out in about 10 minutes, but no one took our order for another 10 after that. The food was good but not great, and overall it was very expensive for the quality. It might be a nice place for drinks and listening to music but I wouldn't go back for brunch.
The Egg benedict was delicious. Lamb burger was ok. The live music was amazing. Service was outstanding.
Another awesome brunch with delicious food, great drinks and live music
We spent the evening at the Beehive on a dreary autumn night and the ambiance was so cozy. We could not have asked for better seating, our waiter was very personable, the food was delicious and the band was icing on the cake!
Music was excellent. The early set had not balance the sound and the subtlety of the vocalist and guitarist were overwhelmed by chunky over amplified bass and staccato drumming. The restaurant was cold and the food edible. The second set was fantastic with a top notch band so we had another carafe and the evening was excellent. Book a table eat before you go wrap up well and you’ll have a great night.
If you want to see the show while you eat it is almost impossible
If you looking for a spot to eat it is fine but nothing special
Fun place if you want to enjoy music and a funky atmosphere.
We had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food was delicious and our server was excellent.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at Beehive, so much so that I’m not sure I will go back any time soon with so many other reliable options. Our server forgot about us. People who were seated after us on either side were taken care of before we were and received their meals well before we did. For brunch at 12:30 they told us they were out of salmon (really?) and our food and drink orders arrived late (one was completely forgotten) and cold. Unfortunate and a total waste of money that day.
Felt rushed. Food arrived in less than 10 minutes. We felt like it was pre-prepared. Would have liked to stay longer and listen to band by server slapped the bill on the table after we ordered coffee.
Bee Hive has a fun, eclectic menu of comfort food. Not too many options for those watching their weight--braised beef short ribs are hard to pass up, EXCELLENT. Other options a bit on the heavy side, includes bacon, fries, duck meatballs. lasagna, smoked blue fish with potato chips, brisket. Did I say comfort food? Fun place. Jazz trio plays in the background--true background music. Great experience if you're expecting a casual, unique, great food, and yummy desserts.
Cute spot with live music
The music was wonderful. The wait staff was very attentive, the service was efficient, the food arrived promptly.
Food was good, not great, service was friendly but brisk felt like they really wanted to turn tables
I went to visit my daughter at BU and looked at a Google restaurant map to find a dinner spot near my hotel. Saw The Beehive and quickly read the reviews and made a reservation. We ate outside on the lovely and lively patio, enjoying every bite of ribs, deviled eggs, and whipped ricotta dip, as well as our server Alexa and every handsome dog who pranced by on the sidewalk. We loved the meal and experience so much we went back for brunch the next day! It was a live music Sunday brunch so we got to enjoy a fantastic hipster jazz quintet, wonderful Benedict and frittata, and our darling server Janelle. All around wonderful experience that I look forward to having again on my next visit. Thank you Beehive!
A little too noisy but the music was great.
Good, sat outside which was lovely, ground was a little unstable for chairs but think it was because of cobblestones.
Service, food, drinks and music, exceptional as always! It also helps that the space is beautiful!
We had a table right next to the stage. It was fantastic! The music was great. The food was great. Overall is was a great time.
We will definitely be coming back.
I love Beehive. .
Nice food on a really relaxed atmosphere with a nice big space
A nice brunch spot on a sunny day if you can snag a table outside. I had made a reservation for inside but they were very accommodating to get us seated outside. Very good and attentive service, fun boozie drinks, and the food is good and priced for the neighborhood, but at the end of the day, you're spending about $20 for eggs, etc. I recommend sticking to the "lunchy" things, like the lamb burger or grain bowl.
Great dining excellent!
They forgot it was Vinny’s birthday.
I was worried about noise level having read some complaints but it was fine, the jazz band pleasant and the food absolutely outstanding!!!
This booking cost me open dollar points and it said it was for a premium table but this wasn’t that... table super squeezed bn two big groups. Disappointing.
Excellent food and the live jazz is awesome, not too loud either. Swordfish was excellent. Calamari was not chewy and definitely fresh. Will be back.
Great atmosphere for relaxed dining, there for the Jazz Brunch, music was great, food & drinks outstanding - nice mix of imaginative dishes with fresh ingredients. A joyful experience. Highly recommend!
Birthday dinner was amazing, loved the music and great company!!!
Lovely atmosphere a little old world with live music at 8:00 pm. Food was wonderful the salmon was cooked to perfection! The staff were kind and very attentive.
Excellent all the way around.
Everything was wonderful - only complaint is that hosts were rather brusque when we first walked in--we didn't really get the welcome we would expect at a place like the Beehive. But the jazz trio was amazing, our server was great, the food was fantastic - a good experience all the way around.
Wonderful patio that is both open to the street for collecting all the feel of Tremont St. and secluded from passerby. Downstairs there was live music. The food was excellent and being Celiac (gluten allergy) they had a full menu to choose from and were very accommodating.
Good food - a little pretentious and overwhelmingly posh - fantastic atmosphere however. The high price I'm assuming covered the food and musical entertainment. Pretty good experience but one I wouldn't repeat anytime soon. 3/5 stars
Fantastic music, great food, lovely service. Great place to bring a date!
