Our table was squeezed into the back on Valentine’s Day in the bar area. We were wanting a table by the live music area.
I loved it! Amazing service. Great food. Incredible music!
Table was perfect with a view of the Jazz band. Ordered specialty drinks which slowed the bar service down a bit, but was definitely worth waiting for. Food was on point. Great experience
Our adventure to the Beehive was an early Valentines treat for my husband and I. We were looking for a place with a cool Bohemian vibe and great live music... and we found exactly that! The staff ( hostess and wait staff) were so wonderful, kind, complimentary and helpful. They made us feel right at home and checked in often to make sure we were enjoying our time. The food was delicious, we both loved our choice of entrees. The Queen Bee and Jazzberry drinks were recommended by our waitress and were so delicious! Overall we highly recommend and cant wait to return!
The service was sooooo slow. The drinks took forever to come. The waiter took forever to take our order. Someone filled drink glasses and ran out so one of my friends received a quarter of a glass. The food was good, but we waited so long for it. Not what I expected
Love the ambiance and friendliness of this venue. Although the food has never wowed, and the Bloody Mary was average at best, I'd recommend enjoying the live music and fun atmosphere.
Great waitress. Ordered a latte, the avocado toast and a side of bacon. I enjoyed the avocado toast and the latte. The side of bacon didn't come out until I had to remind our waitress. Very tasty when I had it. The jazz was great even from upstairs.
The Beehive was a perfect ending to a great weekend in Boston, in fact our brunch turned into a highlight! The music was great, the food and drinks great too. We finally left after 2+ hours!
Staff/bouncers intervened at our request when some inconsiderate bar patrons progressively used our dining table (and extra chair) as a place to put their drinks, bags and coats. Beehive staff was unbelievably professional. Btw, inconsiderate bar patrons were even more middle-aged than our table. Just goes to show that drunken idiocy has no age limit. We always have a memorable time (usually all good!) at the Beehive and will be back.
The server was the food was underwhelming
The food here is fine, but not great, especially considering the cost. I had to send my eggs Benedict back this past weekend because it was cold and the hollandaise sauce had congealed. The vibe is great and I like going there, but the food is just not as good as it used to be.
Terrible service. Waiter was rude. ( I believe his name was Miguel). One of my two Poached eggs came hard boiled and waiter basically said it was my problem and that’s how they were supposed to be. Tried to tell me it was just cooked a bit more than the other. I mean I’ve cooked eggs before, sir. I know the difference between a 3 minute egg and a 10-minute egg. Just apologize and bring a new egg. Should not be a big deal. Food was just ok. I’ve never had such a bad experience there. Was always good in the past.
The food was delicious, drinks were delicious, Jazz was great but the Hostesses was terrible, and very rude to me. I had made a reservation a few days ahead of time for Brunch. I politely told the hostess I had arrived for my reservation and my friends will arrive soon. My friends were 10 minutes late due parking issues in the South End (common issue). The Hostess rudely told me she would sit me but only if I would leave in an hour due to another table. She was not friendly in the slightest. I looked around the restaurant; it was middle level busy. There were at least 5 of us coming to this brunch; a 5 top does not take only an hour to eat. I agreed because I was hungry. The service took at least 35 minutes to get our food. The waiter was nice enough. At exactly, the 1 hour mark the server came over and said he needs to clear the table just as my friend's drink had arrived. 2 minutes later a hostess came over and said we have to move to the bar so the next table can sit down. Overall, the rudeness of the hostesses left a very sour taste in my mouth. I have 2 years of hostess experience and have never rushed a customer like this. I am appalled the hostess treated us so poorly. Also, The Beehive is not the only brunch place in the area. I easily could have picked Barcelona. Be more polite to your customers and consider hiring new hostesses. Next time I go to brunch, I will be picking Barcelona next door.
It was awesome. Is perfect for dinner and some drinks because the music is very good. Food was delicious, the salmon and the burger were amazing.
I have been here many times. I miss their grilled cheese with short-rib. I had a different dish and it was super good. Veggies especially. Our server was the best!!!
This was a first date and I noted that in the comments when booking. They gave us probably the best seat in the house to listen to the band. 10/10 would do it all over again! Food and service was stellar
Was here for brunch. Ambience , amazing! Food and service was mediocre Loved the jazz band!
It was my girlfriend birthday and they treated us with free Mimosa
Food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Highly recommend.
The live music is fun, the setting is interesting and the waitstaff are very friendly. In spite of reservations or special requests, there is no guarantee on the seating and the front desk don't seem very helpful in this regard. Some tables are great for seeing the musicians, whereas others are not, and so the diner's experience is very subject to whatever table is available. I'm happy I tried it out, but not sure I would return for this reason.
We had a fabulous experience when my sister came to visit from NY. We were seated quickly, great spot for dinner right near the jazz show, which we had requested. Incredible music and ambiance. Dinner and drinks were delicious. Server was 5-star and even gave us the extra time we wanted to relax before ordering. They were helpful in making sure we ordered something we wanted when one individual in our party was struggling with entree selections. Nothing bad to say!
Out celebrating my love’s birthday for the third year. As always, great experience, great waiter (Joseph).
Great first date spot, sat near the live band (but not too close so we could keep a conversation going). Very please with food & service
Great waiter and delightful food.
Dessert was served with a candle for my wife’s birthday! Very nice touch!
The oysters were fabulous. I ordered calamari appetizer for my main course and was disappointed. Have been several times in the past and remembered the food as better. The music was not too loud, important to me for talking purposes. The wait staff was friendly.
Food was good, Jazz was better.
I loved the atmosphere, food was good also . First out table was too close to live music despite of my phone call day before reservation . But they changed it per our request. Overall great experience, I would go back for sure .
I love beehive, but the service is always under expectations. Server always has too many tables and you have to flag them down.
Amazing atmosphere and great food! Would highly recommend. Very unique spot & love jazz was AWESOME
Delicious food and wonderful ambiance with the live music!
The band was great! Room was awesome and ambiance top notch.
Girls night- always fun to have dinner and be in a lively environment. Staff is great.
Service and food were excellent. Jazz music at just the right volume. Great experience!
Good was amazing. Music was lively and staff were accomadating.
Great restaurant. Food. Service. Etc
Could offer coupl.j e more desserts
We were looking for a unique local restaurant with a good wine selection and live music at reasonable prices. The Beehive was an excellent choice. The staff were professional; our waitress was especially attentive, friendly and helpful. Our food choices were only slightly a letdown but the jazz line-up and dessert made up for it in abundance. The list of entertainment for the month was also impressive. Definitely a place to go to again and again for a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere.
We have gone to Beehive multiple times and this will be our last. Awful service and food.
We have a great spot near the stage. I do wish they played for longer periods. They would play (what felt like) a few songs then stop for while. During the periods when they stopped, there was no music. I would’ve enjoyed having them play longer! However, service was lovely and the atmosphere was great!
Our waitstaff is always super friendly and accommodating. The food is creative and delicious!
