I think their menu needs to. Change. Price per plate is high.
I didn't love my meal, but I've loved meals there in the past. (I had pork shoulder with couscous, but it was Israeli couscous which I don't like and wouldn't have ordered had I known). Everyone in my party really enjoyed their food. The ambiance is great, service is wonderful. Cocktails are delicious. This is my 3rd visit since my first in Nov. 2018, which says a lot since I don't even live in the South End.
Eat the shakshuka. You will not regret it.
Went for the Jazz brunch. Great food and really cool space, great music too.
My boyfriend and I had a great time at the Beehive this weekend. We requested a table near the stage and we got a great spot. The food was very tasty and the drinks were great!
Very cool place. The live jazz was fun and the decor was cool. The crumb cake was delicious. I got the steak and eggs which was also delicious - eggs were over cooked but i should have specified what i wanted more. My boyfriend got the poutine which wasn’t technically poutine but it was very very good. I’d go back!
Unique in Boston. Food, cocktails, music, service, ambiance. all top-notch.
Front desk gave my friends a difficult time when I sent them to get the table while I waited at the bar with our drinks. (There WAS a reservation made). There was some attitude from the front desk girls. Additionally, we were taken downstairs in front of the jazz band & after sitting, we realized we only wanted apps and drinks and to leave shortly. Then we were told that we’re not allowed to be seated in the area unless we are ordering entrees. At this point I felt really upset - we were treated as if we weren’t ordering alcohol and other items from the apps menu. One waiter looked at us and chuckled it seemed. Will never return. Funny story - my company rents this place out often AND I am the events lead for my team. Very unhappy with the service and will not be back again. Thanks.
This is a cool spot and has great music. Food is adequate but not exceptional in anyway. Not a fan of drinking wine from a small snifter style glass - but that's just me. Services was really GREAT. Attentive. Perfect attention to detail. Didn't try to rush us off. I will keep going here forever regardless of the very average food.
Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Glad we made reservations. It’s looks small when you walk in but downstairs is larger w a great vibe. Enjoyed. They should definitely put a sign outside. We couldn’t find at first and my old fashioned was disgusting. I’d still come back to give it another try.
Met friends at the Beehive for Sunday brunch - 2 hours later we were full - full from great food, great conversation and a great ambience! Our server was attentive and gave us all the time we wanted to linger at our table. A single guitarist filled the space with a wonder Spanish sound. Fantastic.
Outstanding food, unique cocktails, friendly service and amazing music. Plus valet parking for $25. Had a wonderful night out!
Great ambiance! Food was ok- overall would go back- service good
Our waitress was so cool and knowledgeable. Very hands on and attentive. Very fun atmosphere and the live music was amazing!
Atmosphere was great. Food was fantastic but a little pricey. Overall a great experience.
My first time at the Beehive and I loved the food! The music was loud but nice and the food was excellent. Super expensive for a brunch but worth it.
The service was great! The food was delicious. The jazz was amazing!
Not all seats within this restaurant are created equal. They had a live band downstairs, so wish we could have been downstairs. Disappointing that they wouldn't allow you choice of seating with a reservation given that some tables are FAR better than others.
Food was mouthwatering! Big portions! Music was nice
Good was pretty sub par. Music was good but repetitive. Drinks very not good.
Cool environment, great music, excellent service, innovative food.
If you're coming to Beehive, it should be for the fun ambiance and experience; the live music is so fun, but very noisy. The food is pretty sauced up, unhealthy, and overall not great. The drinks are typical. However, I was disappointed with the service. Our waiter kept constantly coming over to try to push us to buy drinks and more food even though we weren't drinking and we only wanted a couple appetizers to share. It felt like they wanted us to either buy a lot or push us out and we were only there for an hour and a half. I also made these reservations 2 weeks in advance and asked for a good view of the stage but they put us at the worst possible table where a column was blocking our full view of the stage and people were constantly bumping into us from the bar side.
Food is okay. Loved the live music.
Wonderful place for brunch. The food was delicious. The decor is really cool!
We had a great table near the stage. The diner noise was high so we were glad to be close to the singer. The food was very good. Don’t order the bread, $4 for just 2 small slices. Otherwise the curry, pork and French fries were very good. Had a great time.
The perfect date spot. Fantastic food and drinks, expert service and live music. Love Beehive!
Food was great, waaaaaay better than average. Service very good, ambiance very nice, especially unexpected and very pleasant music.
First time here but heard we needed reservations. Good advice.
We sat upstairs but could still hear the music (and each other) coming from the two big rooms and stage downstairs.
Beehive has a different and Interesting menu. I had the Shakshuka with lamb - delicious; my wife had the eggs Benedict - also delicious. Big plus - Outstanding and friendly service.
Overall, a generally young crowd and Loved the Vibe.
It was tasty but the service was veryyyy slow.
Loved it! So much fun for a birthday celebration
It is always a true pleasure to go here. Last visit was on a FREEZING night and being in the downstairs dining area was a perfect setting for a relaxed night out. Food was great, server was fun, a price was right.
We went for a pre-theatre meal, but the place was lively soon after 6pm. The calamari was the best I have tasted in a long time and the main courses were tasty, too. I look forward to going back at a later hour to hear some live music.
We arrived early, with theater to follow. The waitstaff was attentive and charming. Meals were terrific. Three of us had the lamb dish, which was outstanding, with plenty wonderful leftovers for the next day. Bartender was extreme knowledgeable, and introduced us to a new liqueur. Can’t wait to return
I really like Beehive. It's got a fun aesthetic, the service is great, the food is always good, and the Sunday jazz is a nice touch. The lamb shakshuka is amazing, and always get the coffee cake. Always.
Once again, a fantastic experience at Beehive. Once our party arrived, we were seated righ away for our reservation. The jazz music provides a lovely ambiance and it was the perfect background for a rainy Sunday brunch. Our waitress was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home in the cozy upstairs dining area. She was incredibly attentive while not being overbearing and truly enhanced our dining experience. The food was fantastic - we had no complaints.
Great time at Brunch! Will be back!
My only complaint is that the waitress never asked me if I wanted to take my leftovers home and never brought back the food after clearing out the dishes.
Delicious and love the live entertainment, as always!
