   My wife and I enjoyed a long overdue date at the Beefeater this past weekend. Our server’s name was Sue, she was very excellent ; cheerful and polite. We shared the escargot as an appetizer and both had Prime Rib which was also very excellent. It was accompanied by great tasting sides. Best restaurant experience we’ve had in a while and definitely did not leave the place feeling like we could have eaten more. 10/10 stars

   Was expecting a little better meal than what we got. Only 10-15 French fries on the plate was so disappointing, come on they aren’t expensive and they are only frozen grocery store fries. Only a 1/2” thick steak, burnt on the edges, didn’t taste all that great either, the garlic toast and salad were good. Waitress was good. Quiet atmosphere was good. Probably won’t return any time soon though. I don’t mind paying for a meal but I won’t pay for empty plates again.

    Steak was bland, “roasted vegetable” were 2 small undercooked pieces of cauliflower with a slice of tomato. All of it was served in a pool of sauce that was supposed to drizzled over the steak. Way overpriced for what was served.

    Our steaks were excellent ( peppercorn and prime rib ), however the sides were not what one wold expect for such a high class restaurant, the stuffed back potatoes tasted like M&M frozen reheated stuffed potatoes and the veg was a couple of slices of zucchini in different stages of cooked. Apple pie desert was okay. I’m sorry but with the Keg around and the price to dine out being what it is if I’m going to drop $130 for 2 to dine it will not be here again. Shame as the atmosphere is good for a date night ! Staff were excellent.

    We had a lovely supper out away from the kids, for the first time in a long time. I'm so happy we picked Beefeater. We had never been before, but will be our go to spot from now. The ribs, chicken, steak and dessert were all amazing. Great service, lovely atmosphere.

    We enjoyed our dinners very much. My husband said his steak was perfect! My veal cutlets were so good! You have an awesome chef! Our server was so friendly which made our evening even more enjoyable! Oh yes delicious wine too. Will be back soon!!

    We started with a very nice corn chowder, then followed up with excellent quality beef in both my filet and in my wife's prime rib. The stuffed potatoes were also excellent, but the choice of veggies (zucchini) isn't my thing, so I can't give a review of them. The wine list is a bit limited, but we found a nice Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc that served the purpose. The evening we were there, the restaurant was very busy. No seating without a reservation, in fact. Our table was a bit tight to get into, but once seated, provided a nice bit of privacy. Very good, attentive service. Really like the fact that this restaurant has been serving Medicine Hat for a lot of years. It's a bit like going back in time.

    Everything was good except the lobster was sooooo overcooked. I was tough and rubbery. Still good, but when you are used to catching your own seafood, you know when it's overdone. The steak and everything else was amazing!!!

    I use to come here anytime i was in Medicine Hat for a great meal, but there is no question that the years and im sure the economy has taken a major tole on this place,I can deal with the old rundown decor makes no difference to me but the quality of the food is really poor, I had steak Neptune and it was terrible unfortunately Just too bad

    Birthday celebration after having a marvelous time last Valentine’s Day. Greatly appreciate comfort level we felt as a lesbian couple on both occasions. Delicious food and the corner table was private and romantic. Love seeing the fire grill. Wonderful surprise birthday dessert with a candle. Service was very good except my dessert order of cheesecake seemed to get lost as our wait staff was busy doing closing tasks. We will come again. Thanks,

    Met at the door by the owner and promptly taken to our table. Staff were prompt to ask if about drinks. As it was our Anniversary we were not in a hurry they did not rush to take our order. When our order was taken the food was brought quickly. It was hot, fresh, and very tasting. Both our steaks were Done to our preference. Have been here periodically over the years and have never had a complaint.

    We would like to give a higher rating but our stuffed potatoes were cool in fact by adding butter and sour cream made them cold. Both steak and salmon were warm but not hot. For a 100.00 meal our expectation is for a hot meal. Garlic toast accompanied the meal which was nice but it was burnt on top and tasted that way. Our server was exceptional. It’s hard to think of going back and paying for a cold meal.
