    It was a lovely celebratory meal to share with a long time friend. I had trouble manoeuvring the web site as I had asked for a place by the fire but the lovely server accommodated us when we arrived. We miss the salad bar ( available pre covid).

    Everything was as good as usual. Still wished the Beefeater would bring back the salad bar. I had the house salad and onion soup before the main meal and the bowl of soup cost $4.50. That use to come with a pretty good salad bar! Won’t deter me from eating there, but I really did appreciate what it added to the dining experience! Good job on the grill Michael! Steak was perfect!

    We really enjoyed our dinner at the Beefeater. The restaurant was very busy but the crowd noise was not overwhelming. The waitresses were definitely rushed to their limits, but they did their best. It felt like a lot of tables were crammed in to manage the crowd. We were seated on the walkway to the men's washroom, and that was a little uncomfortable, and the view into the bar service area wasn't the best - again you were serving a lot of dinners in the bar area so there was a lot of traffic - not the waitresses fault. The food was very good. The prime rib (which was our reason for coming) was VERY good. Next time we would split the 12 oz serving - it was a much better cut than the 9 oz serving - and the 12 oz would certainly have filled the two of us. The twice baked potato was great - the best potato I've had in ages. Our only complaint about the food was the escargots - we were really looking forward to having the 'original' style and service, but the flavour was just not there - it was very bland - and the escargots were very, very small. My Rusty nail was very small, and it appeared that the scotch was replaced by another liquor. Next time we'll order something else. We were pleased enough that we would go back to the restaurant again, and we'll know what to order then. Thanks for a great evening.

    Really the only less than ideal aspect was our table being close to the door that led to the til and bar (super high traffic with staff), and the men’s washroom. We were passed every few minutes and often bumped by men going back and forth. First time there; food was great, service was great, it was clean. If our table wasn’t in such a busy spot it would have been perfect.

    Having not been here since the Pandemic, I was very disappointed with the removal of the soup and salad bar. That to me was what made the Beefeater different from all the other Steak houses. Having mentioned that, the food and service was excellent as usual.

    We had small prime rib and veal cutlets with soup and escargot to start, both were cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. We have not been here for several years, happily it was as great as we remembered. Will always stop at the Beefeater whenever we are going thru Medicine Hat!

    Our steaks at the Beefeater were perfect. Service was prompt and courteous. The noise level was such that we had to keep asking the server to repeat herself as we honestly could not make out what she was trying to say.

    We don’t go out to eat very often and it was a treat. Hadn’t been to Beefeater in many many years still as wonderful as always. Great cooks and the waitress was wonderful. Thanks. May be back sooner this time.

    The steaks were on the tough side. One was very grizzly. Told the waitress who said that happens. Then later when I told the hostess they both said I could have got replacement. I wish the waitress would have done that when I complained about the grizzle.

    My wife and I enjoyed a long overdue date at the Beefeater this past weekend. Our server’s name was Sue, she was very excellent ; cheerful and polite. We shared the escargot as an appetizer and both had Prime Rib which was also very excellent. It was accompanied by great tasting sides. Best restaurant experience we’ve had in a while and definitely did not leave the place feeling like we could have eaten more. 10/10 stars

    Was expecting a little better meal than what we got. Only 10-15 French fries on the plate was so disappointing, come on they aren’t expensive and they are only frozen grocery store fries. Only a 1/2” thick steak, burnt on the edges, didn’t taste all that great either, the garlic toast and salad were good. Waitress was good. Quiet atmosphere was good. Probably won’t return any time soon though. I don’t mind paying for a meal but I won’t pay for empty plates again.

    Steak was bland, “roasted vegetable” were 2 small undercooked pieces of cauliflower with a slice of tomato. All of it was served in a pool of sauce that was supposed to drizzled over the steak. Way overpriced for what was served.
