Bedford & Burns Ratings and Reviews
Very diverse and delicious menu which makes me keep coming back. I always find a tough decision to pick from several items I really want. The Hamachi is always great and a filling plate. The crab and other salads are delicious and filling. Tootsies Breakfast sandwich is always in my head the night before so it is hard not to order, but the Mexican entrees are always very authentic and tasty. Burgers and other items are solidly tempting so I enjoy the diversity of offerings !
At dinner time Wednesday night my boy friend and I decided to go to Bedford and Burns. We ordered
The kale salad. It was absolutely delicious followed by
an excellent fettuccine pasta entree.
The service was excellent. Also the waiters did not hover
over us constantly clearing the table as happens too often in many other restaurants. They allowed us the
pleasure of leisurely dining.
We love Bedford and Burns. The service is fantastic...the food even better. The menu has so many options that would appeal to everyone. The have a large choice of soups...try the purée of greens. Their fish is always fresh and their side dishes nicely prepared. It's truly the perfect restaurant!!
Excellent food, presentation...full of flavor, steak cooked just right. Ambiance is nice; we dined on New Years Eve and it was a little busy but not crazy. Second time here and the service was slow, again, very slow. Server forget certain things we asked for or didn't check in on our food or drinks enough; trust me, I'm not needy or picky. He had two other tables, that I could see, not big parties.
We have enjoyed this restaurant many times. This was not one of them. We found our usual favorites to be not as good as usual. There was a group of people with loud, unruly children who's screaming and yelling ruined our evening. We hoped the management would try to quiet them, but apparently not.
There were 4 of us for dinner. One ordered a shrimp louie- the waiter responded that for just a little more she could have both shrimp and crab. The difference, as billed was 50%, which I don't consider a small difference. Forty-eight dollars is very expensive for a salad.
I ordered the steak frite. The first steak the waiter delivered was very tough. The manager asked if I would like to try another or something else. Unfortunately, I chose to have another steak. It too was tough.
Great location, beautiful restaurant, but food/service definitely leave something to be desired.
I am the organizer of a Lunch Meet-Up group, because we do not know each other we need separate checks and I always let the restaurant know this 10 days in advance when I reserve the table . We had been to this restaurant before and liked it, there was no problem with getting separate checks. This week the girl calls me on the morning of the lunch to tell me that the new "system" can not do more than 4 credit cards per table, I told her that it was late notice and that last time there was no problem so she told me that they would work it out some how. When we ordered our food I confirmed with the waiter that we needed separate checks, he was short and said it was not possible and I had been told so (not true) . This was disappointing so all I can say we will never be back there, their loss (usually we are 8-10 lunchers) as I think the restaurant business is a tricky one and if you can not accommodate a simple thing as separate checks (computers do the work don't they?) then why go back as there are MANY restaurants who love to have us.
This restaurant is the still somewhat hidden gem of Beverly Hills. Great fresh and mostly organic food, great atmosphere, and one of the great waitpersons in town (Annie). Highly recommended for people who love a restaurant that does everything right - no drama, no theatrics. Quality is what this place is about - and it's a jewel.
I always have outstanding service and I love when we get one of the coveted outside tables. They definitely feel more intimate and conversation is easier outside than in. The salads were a little bland this time - I love the quinoa salad, but I felt like ingredients were missing and thought that $24 was a rather steep price. I will go back to some of my old favorites (burger, chopped salad) for my next visit.
Always consistently good food and diverse menu. Salads are all very good, the Hamachi yellowtail is sensational, and the breakfast sandwich is hard not to keep ordering as it is filling and original. Great and interesting menu keeps me coming back to this establishment.
