Becketts eggs came with a fried onion and crème fraîche order to make it actually outstanding one more item should’ve been added like maybe a little bit of caviar. My brussels sprouts were nothing special. I was actually hoping we were going to be like a bus sonic oven roasted with a little crunchiness but they were more like a steamed type with a little bacon. Nothing to write home about. My duck appetizer It was actually the best part of the entire meal. Had a lot of interesting flavors and I would actually go back to have that again. Glass of wine was pretty tasty at the suggestion of my server. The server was nice And polite. I would give the place a B definitely needs work to make it an A.
We have dined at Beckett's Table several times in the past couple of years and the food has always been excellent. Not so on this visit. The service was very good, as usual, but the food was not. 4 out of the 6 people in our party were very disappointed in their meal. If this had been my first time there, I would not return. However, since we've had several really good experiences with Beckett's Table, I'm hoping this was a just a fluke.
The food was very good. I personally didn’t care for my soup it was a little too spicy for my taste, but it wasn’t bad. The server was hardly around. She didn’t even notice I had not touched my soup. In fact when she came by at the of the meal she just cleared it and never asked why i hadn’t touched it. But the rest of the meal was very good.
Overall, I was completely satisfied with Beckett’s Table! Our server was very knowledgeable of any specials and variations to the printed menu. She was also knowledgeable of the wine list and cocktails. The food was delicious and well portioned. My only dislike, which is by design, is the limited entree options. I would like to see a steak option, as well as an increase in overall options. However, I would go back any day!
Overall my wife and I had an amazing time. The food and atmosphere was better than we expected, my wife has celiac disease and they were more than accommodating to her needs. If you’re GF this place won’t disappoint - the food is delicious!! The only thing that was a little off par was our waiter, we didn’t get water refills at all during the night and I ended up having to get up and track someone down to get more water. Besides that, it was a very good experience, we will definitely be going again!!
We love Beckett’s Table, but this dinner was terrible. The restaurant was very empty so not like they were slammed. But the kitchen couldn’t keep up. We were there for 2 hours and 45 min. That’s 2 -3 times longer than needed. We had to ask repeatedly when our food would come out. Try keeping a 2 year old entertained for that long! It was a disaster. We were trying to showcase a great spot for an out of town family member, but instead it was a terrible disappointment.
The food is heavily pork-centric (which I don't eat). More than half the items on the entree list are pork. Even one of the ice-cream has bacon strips. The food I ordered was burnt (beef ribs). Service wasn't great and there was not much checking back with the customers. It's not what most reviews say but I guess if you eat/like pork may it is a great place.
We had the biscuits, Mac & cheese, and Chicken. Everything was good but nothing amazing like the reviews described. The biscuits and Mac&cheese were surprisingly sub par with dryer biscuit and Mac was served cold upon first receiving. I think for food that is so traditional, there should be a zing in there and unfortunately none of what we had had it.
Excellent restaurant. Food is creative and outstanding. Our party had the short ribs, scallops, shrimp & grits, and pork Osso Buco, all terrific, tasty and well presented. The short ribs and Osso Buco were tender, fall off the bone, eat with a fork, no knife. Definitely worth the drive of 15 miles, will go back soon!
Beckett's table is a go to place for us when we are in that part of Phoenix. This time I had the chili pork stew/skillet. It was a good portion size and very filling. I took half home. It was flavorful, was void of fat chunks and had a touch of smoky bacon. The steamed sea bass was delicious but the portion was too small to satisfy my guest who skipped lunch. If getting the sea bass order a salad or veggie side too. Luckily we asked for bread and that filled the void. Thus the 4 star rating. I wish Beckett brings back the original coconut cake. Between you and me, I think the original coconut cake is better than the one available at Southern Rail.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and they did not disappoint. Our food was delicious, service perfect. We followed our waitresses recommendations and it was perfect. Do not pass up the bacon biscuits either. Our desert came out with a candle and a congrats which was not necessary but much appreciated, it made our night. We will be back.
Restaurant accepted my table request. When I arrived at the scheduled time it was closed. The reservation locked me out of making reservations at other restaurants. My suggestion: if you are going to have hours that vary according to business needs, please be considerate of patrons. I drive 30 minutes to get to your restaurant to discover it was closed.
Good food but SLOW service on a night where the room was less than half full on a Saturday night at 7pm. Kitchen not their best, pacing was too slow and our waiter seemed not interested in being there. Coffee came to the table after over half of dessert was eaten. Not the usual experience here but not a good sign on a night when there wasn't many customers in the restaurant.
We ate early on a Saturday evening and it was very quiet. The vibe is clean, fresh, simple and the restaurant is open to the kitchen. The waiter was attentive. The food was okay. I’d probably recommend Beckett’s for an easy spot to grab a meal, not fine dining.
Found this place on a lot of "Top Restaurants in Phoenix" and it did not disappoint. Four of us from out of town were seated outside on the patio, which was nice and quiet and fortunately not too warm (7:30pm on a lovely September evening). Inside looked cozy and bustling, as expected on a Saturday night. The open kitchen gives you a great view of all the delicious plates being prepared. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating of our friends' food preferences (one is gluten-free, the other can't have garlic). The food itself was phenomenal. The pork osso buco is simply outstanding - flavorful and fall-off-the-bone tender. My wife had the seared scallops with chorizo and almost licked the plate clean. Desserts were very tasty and pretty sizeable (I'd recommend sharing). Half of the wine list was from local Arizona wineries, which I thought was great. Cocktails were also on point - the Painkiller #3 was very well-balanced, although served in a pint glass instead of a tiki mug. I suppose if that's the only nit-pick you can make, the place must be pretty great!
Went for restaurant week and loved the menu choices. Started with potatoe leek soup then on to Osso Bucco and finished with creme brûlée. Everything was delicious. They have a fun cocktail menu as well. We loved the casual but cool atmosphere and the service was great! We'll be back!!
