While food is good, no individual pasta dishes available but unlimited pasta course much like Olive Garden is available. Reasonable prices for food and $31 bottles of wine but overall disappointing

The food was very good. It was a bit chaotic due to a large party in the back room and a full restaurant.

32 anniversary AFTER Jimmy Buffett play. Sat upstairs felt rushed and had VERY COLD WAITER DAVID. Food was good but experience would not make us go back. No thank you as he passed us it was as if we just arrived as we left. With all that’s going on with their restaurants I thought they would have implemented some new ways to treat there customers. Oh well it was worth trying again but I will not be going back. Was sadly disappointed.

Went to Becco before going to Come From Away. David, our server, was pleasant and polite and asked if we had a 2 o'clock show. The food was delicious and the service was great. I'd definitely go back again.

Good, solid food. Average portion. Wide selection of bottles of wine at a reasonable price of $31. Good service! Appreciated being upstairs where it was a little quieter.

Becco is a favorite that I've visited many times. The food is consistently good as is the service. Prices are very reasonable especially considering Becco's location and the quality of the food.

We were 4 couples. All enjoyed the food. Spinach under the lemon chicken was watery, but all the food was tasty. I am not a picky eater, but would have preferred a few more affordable choices. The service was excellent, all with smiles. A little pricey but all in all a lovely experience while in NYC for a few days

Becco is a charming two story restaurant with a nice bar if you have to wait. The trio of never ending pasta and sauces were excellent with servers regularly stopping by to refill your plate, for $9 it’s an excellent addition to your meal. I had the Veal Osso by Buco which was perfectly braised, falling off the bone. Braised with the bone upright so the marrow was in the bone and magnificent. Surprisingly, the $30 bottles of wine were not bad and paired well with our meal. We were a party of 3, 3 courses, 2 bottles of wine, $200. I was very happy with both the quality and the value.

The service was horrific! We sat there for 1.5 hours and our waitress never checked on us or refilled our water. We were able to grab other waitstaff as they walked by but that is not acceptable. Additionally the food was just bad. We ordered the special 3 pastas and not even one was good. They lacked seasoning or were cold and inedible. After looking forward to dining there I️ left just disappointed. Never again!

Very happy with my first experience at Becco. Food was delicious, service was very good--help recommend items and navigate the wine list. We were seated on time and everyone was pretty friendly. Tables are tight but this is Manhattan!
I would certainly visit this restaurant again.

Arguably one of the best Italian restaurants in New York. The pasta of the day - 3 different pastas made daily - is always a good choice, 19.95 for lunch, 24.95 for dinner including salad. I had the short rib special and it was probably the best I have ever had. It is always a

This stalwart of NYC restaurants holds up well over time! The food is delicious! I'm still a fan of the roving pasta bar and often get it as a side when I want to enjoy the other entrees and specials. The wine selection is enjoyable, as is the policy to encourage a bottle with your Italian feast (at just $31 any bottle). The restaurant decor is a bit worn down, and while I love the atrium, it really needs a cleaning from the roof:)

My wife and I went here after a Sunday matinee on Father's Day. We were immediately seated for our 5:00 reservation. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We each had a glass of wine that was very good. We split the mussel appetizer ( spicier than I prefer) and both of us had the special Symphony di Pasta which was great, although the spice in the Penne Bolognese-- either cinnamon or nutmeg-- really didn't do it for me. The other two pastas -- a sort of vegetable lasagna with a bechamel sauce was superb as was the papperdelle with marinara . We split a Panna Cotte for desert. Very filling. Would definitely go back again.

This was the best dining experience I have had in some time. The food was delicious. Because I found the Caesar salad mediocre, I rated the food very good rather than outstanding. However, our server was outstanding.
She was warm, thorough and best of all? Non intrusive! Have been telling everyone about this terrific experience.

We booked a table for 2 at 7pm on a Saturday night, assuming there'd still be a wait considering the theater crowd. There was a line outside, but we were promptly seated and served by an efficient friendly staff. The pre-theater crowd was still there and it was loud, lively - but convivial, not obnoxious - and didn't affect the attentiveness of the servers. Once the previous seating cleared out to catch their respective shows, things quieted right down. Despite the nicely varied menu, we opted for the all you can eat pasta trio which was delicious - a chard stuffed ravioli, rigatoni with pesto, and a spaghetti and shrimp in a spicy red marinara with just enough bite. (Being pescatarians, we usually don't fare so well - particularly in Italian restaurants where they like to sneak in prosciutto, speck and/or every other usable part of a pig to add flavor.)Though I'd already consumed a house caesar salad (decent) and half a loaf of bread with a lovely bean spread, I couldn't resist having seconds on the rigatoni and thirds on the ravioli (not as over-indulgent as it sounds, they were pretty much tapas-sized portions). The $31 wine list was an incredible value - we ordered a delicious barbera d'asti that would have passed for something at twice the price. For dessert we split the summer berries and zabaglione made with a sparkling red which was a tasty switch from the standard marsala. That and the coffee were exceptional - the only downside is they served it with milk, rather than half-n-half - and the cappuccino was made with 2% instead of whole milk - but the coffee was so good, it passed (usually I can't drink it with milk - which tastes watered down to me.) We were pleasantly surprised at the bill - only $134 (before tip) - you can't get away with that upstate, let alone in NYC - an incredible value. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The food was great but it was way too loud. Our table of 3 could not hear each other talk. Not sure I would return to Becco because of the noise level. Who needs that!

Overall Becco is a fine pre-theater choice for Italian. The service was prompt and efficient. My only issue with this visit was that when one member of our party ordered the pasta aribiatta with shrimp, it arrived without shrimp. Ok, so not a huge deal, except, when we pointed this out to the server the answer was to bring a small dish of over fried, cold shrimp. If the shrimp would have been of a good quality, this would have been an excellent solution. In this case, it was really an underwhelming outing overall. Otherwise, the food was decent, the portions were more than adequate and the service was good and expedient even with a packed house (as I mentioned this was pre theater).

So loud and crowded pre-theatre we couldn’t even talk to each other. You sit right on top of other tables. There’s just plenty of other places for a better dinner. Furthermore, the birthday candle/singing is not free, although I was told that when they called to confirm the reservation. Just not impressed, we won’t be going back.
