Fantastic! Great food!
This was our first time here. The food was good. Their nightly pasta specials were the way to go for us. The Caesar salad is for real!
Great place overall! Pasta trio eas delicious and the $33 bottle wine list a great deal. Friendly and professional staff too. We loved our table. It was upstairs near the front window. Not as noisy as downstairs. Love you Lydia!
Outstanding food and service at the restaurant. We felt that this was one of the best meals that we have had in NYC. The pasta set dinner is wonderful and a great value for the money. The ambiance is surely grand for this small location and a perfect place close by theaters.
The food was incredible! I highly recommend their pasta option. It was easy to make a reservation via Open Table. The space was a little tight, but that didn’t matter. Service was great and drink selection was wonderful as well. I will definitely go again.
Tables way too crowded. Quality of food was fair at best. Over rated for sure.
Good food, good value. Really tight space
I love the special with the 3 pastas and I think it is so nice that they come around and fill it up. I enjoy the restaurant. My only criticism is that is it a bit noisy but i am sure that cannot be helped.
There were four of us that came to Becco after a Sunday matinee show and was able to grab a seat at the bar and have a great bottle of wine with a couple aps. Once we got seated things went downhill regarding the service. I kept having to ask our waiter to get us more water, the entrees took a very long time to come out, my waiter explained a seafood dish with polenta that was on the menu and neglected to tell me there was salmon in that dish. I don't like salmon and it really was a huge disappointment. Everyone else at my table loved their meals; grilled pork chop, Salsicce and lemon chicken. I am sure I would have too if I ordered something else that didn't have Salmon in it...
The food was very very good. The portions were great. One thing that bothered me was when I ordered pasta in marina for my 9 year old daughter , I asked for them to put some mozzarella cheese on top for her and the waiter said no. I asked why and he said that the chef just will do it. I actually thought he was joking but he wasn’t. I asked if I can purchase a side of mozzarella cheese and he said no. My 9 year old daughter was not thrilled about it but ate her dinner anyway. Other then that , food tastes great and the service was great also.
We were literally sitting on top of each other. Too many tables placed in a room, was knocked into a dozen times by people walking by. Will not go back to the restaurant because of the overcrowded situation
Food, ambiance, and value at EATALY and Lydia Pittsburgh much better. Second time at Becca and very noisy and crowded. Pasta did not taste like fresh and at times lukewarm. Entrees are okay but do not compare to the Pittsburgh restaurant or to EATALY. Very disappointed and will not do again.
A little disappointed with the menu choices. I would have expected a few pasta choices. It's Italian, how could you not have a pasta section? With that said, chicken and risotto was delicious.
Always Amazing!!!! It has always fulfilled my expectations to the fullest. I will return as long as it is there!!
Usually a good meal. This time Cesear salad was a bit wilted. Gemelli was mushy. All seemed warm and not piping hot.
Amazing food and service once again. Second time to eat and will definitely go back. The homemade pasta and different sauces were all delicious!
The food was wonderful and the service was good. We ate before an afternoon play and we made it in plenty of time and appreciated them asking us if we were attending a play.
Wonderful dinner!! Ordered the unlimited pasta special that was outstanding. Wine is incredibly reasonable too.
The place is very hyped up but for all the fanfare it came up short. The food was average, we had the pasta special and fried calamari appetizer, the service was good but waiters are spread thin. They cram you in like sardines which makes the dinning experience uncomfortable and a table for 2 is so small you can hardly fit 2 plates. The $33 wine list was the best part. It was an overall unremarkable experience.
Fresh pasta, good wine, great service. All for a price that is very reasonable.
continues to be one of our favorites of NYC. The pasta is fantastic! Great wine list that is now $33/bottle which is still one of the best deals dining in the theatre district.
The place was 85 degrees in the section I was in. Pasta and salmon were great. Room was small and quaint.
Food was good, wine list varied, wouldn’t recommend the Pasta tasting, service was spotty
Have been to Becco a few other times. Always enjoyed everything I have had. We had a 6:30 reservation and ended up getting to the restaurant much earlier. Was pleasantly surprised that we could be seated early! Thank you Becco had a wonderful evening.
Unfortunately my husband and i went at 6:30 on a Saturday night... not a good idea. Crowded, noisy, crammed a a table that barely fit our plates. We then decided to just get basic appetizers because we didn’t want to stay long. They put us upstairs in the path of waiters, waitresses, all the help and patrons bumping into our table. We aren’t sure we’d be going back.
Really excellent food with service well tuned to getting diners out in time for the theater.
I never order pasta, only here, it’s handmade and beyond fabulous. The branzino was also excellent!
Lovely pre fix menu options! Delicious pasta and wine all reasonably priced. Service was amazing and will definitely bring us back!
Food was delicious and abundant
Amazing service and dining experience. The 3 speciality pasta was outstanding! Friendly staff
Great experience for the most part. We were sitting upstairs by the back door and staff was continually going in and out with tables and chairs. At one point my husband had to get up and close the curtain they used to hide the door (emergency exit). Food is excellent but be prepared to bring your wallet.
Easy reservation, short walk from Hotel Edison to the restaurant. Had to change theatre tickets to 8pm show at Brooks Atkins Threare, reservation was for 6:45pm. Our wait staff was awesome...they knew the deal and got us in and out without feeling rushed. We had their three pasta all you can eat special, tasted like my grandmother was cooking all afternoon for us. Antipasta was one surprise bite after the other. Great wine. We were touched and served by at least six different waitstaff, friendly, curtious, just awesome. Reasonably priced, Really sets the bar! Food was served straight from the saute pans. Found the new absolute book reservation for Times Square visits! Something special.
Food was solid - restaurant was cramped and service was slow
Food was amazing and cooked perfectly. Noise level was a little loud as the tables are very close and they pack u in. Very nice though.
The food is excellent, the service is fast, but they crowd WAY TOO many tables in restaurant.
The food was bland and mediocre. The atmosphere was chaotic with terse waitstaff racing around to serve everyone in time for them to get to the theatre. They did get us out the door in time, but all in all an underwhelming experience.
Fantastic food, fantastic service and a really good value. Not necessarily what you would call “cheap” but worth every penny.
First time here. Large place, but broken into several smaller room so feeling is cozy upscale. A whole list of wine bottles for $33, in addition to a separate list of premium wines. Pastas-of-day special is all-you can-eat, served from copper skillets at your table, and delicious. Great service. We’ll be back.
Was there about 5 yrs ago..not as good as I remembered
