Swordfish prepared differently than I have ever had. Amazing! Special bass, amazing, as well as the ravioli this evening. All around amazing!

We were in NYC for 3 days and we went here on a friend's recommendation! We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is charming and comfortable, the food delicious, the wine very reasonable, and the service very professional! We will definitely return.

Waitress was good but rest of staff were surly and did not crack a smile. Lamb was good but pasta was very average. Beans that came with lamb were tasteless. We like to share and sample a number of dishes but you cannot do that with the pasta. You are confined to the 3 pastas on the sampler plate and cannot just order one to share. Will not be back and would not recommend.

Well presented food, but not very good. Overcooked fish and bland sauces. Service was rushed and frenetic for a Sunday evening. Disappointed... thought Lidia Bastianich restaurant would be better. Perhaps it's just her name attached to it, and is run by other people.

Fabulous food, service and friendly people. My niece was in from LA and we had a delightful time- we were not rushed after theater on Sunday. The food was really creative and newly prepared- to us. I cannot recommend it more highly.

It's always exciting to dine in a celebrity chef's restaurant! The pasta symphony was sublime! Wine service was outstanding, too bad we didn't have room for dessert, they all looked fantastic!

Dinner after seeing Hamilton on Broadway Saturday night was an afterthought for us...but Becco was much more than an afterthought after all. At 11:30PM the staff was still lively and friendly. Our server was fantastic and the food was really perfect. We ordered several appetizers that were delicious! Good wine list too!

Recommended by a friend for pre-theater dinner. Seated promptly, on time. Even after it suddenly crowded, the level of service did not waiver. Exceeded expectations. You should go when in town, period.

The food was amazing and the low cost bottles of wine are a really nice touch. We had the house Red Sangiovese and it was very good. Excellent food, great ambiance and location convenient to the theaters. You can’t go wrong with this choice.

How do they manage to cook each element, the shrimp, scallops and fish, perfectly?

This is a "get them in and get them out" restaurant, which is on Restaurant Row in the theater district, so that is understandable. However, this is not fine dining nor fine food. The chicken I had and the salmon my husband had were quite ordinary. Nothing special. Not bad, but nothing special. Prices was good by NYC standards

Second visit in a week and much improved service and seating in back garden room. Food was awesome. Galleys al forno was excellent as wS pasta course (linguine with clams was the best ever! And artichoke ravioli!) companions had short ribs and lemon chicken. Wine- Badtianich vespa - was awesome too. Absolutely love Becco!

One of the best restaurants in the theater district! It never disappoints. It is a small tight restaurant but the food makes it worth it.

We were extremely pleased with everything. Being the restaurant is located in the theatre district, we were expecting it to be "touristy". It was not. They did ask if we were going to a show, just to get the timing straight. We were not and they did not rush us. The food was wonderful and there is something for everyone on the menu. Won't be disappointed.

P.S. The two tables next to us enjoyed their food as well.

We made a reservation at Becco based on the recommendation of friends and the fact that it was conveniently located to the place we were attending the theater that evening. It was suggested that we request upstairs seating which they won't guarantee but we were seated there. The place is lively and crowded, but has a fun atmosphere and the food is excellent. We loved the three pastas of the day that you can add as a side dish and they are served table side. Service is prompt and efficient and they are very conscious of your theater time. We loved it and would definitely return next time we are in New York.

Becco's food just seems to be slipping lately. I've had the swordfish there before and it was a nice thick cut. This time it was super thin, like 1/4 inch, not a restaurant cut at all and not what I would expect from a fairly upscale restaurant. That being said the usual Becco advantages are there: great bread basket, caesar salad included with entrees, long list of decent bottles of wine for $31. They do tend to overbook before theater so make sure you indicated when you have theater in the reservation and remind them when they seat you. This time it was 15 minutes without a menu, I had to go to the bar to ask, then still another ten before the waiter came. Even trying to get the bill was a bit of a chore. Still, considering the other choices in times square, a decent place for dinner.

Seated in the bar area where tables were close and lots going on. This is NYC after all! Waiter was attentive and brought water, bread basket, olives and a lemony dip right away. Ordered one of their 31 dollar bottles of wine, a Sangiovese from Tuscany that was perfect with the food. We passed on the trio of pastas ( looked good) because it was late and ordered lemon chicken, stuffed peppers and polenta with speck. Positive reviews on all! Will go again!
