Over priced pasta that at one point had to be scrapped off the table as it was dished up splashing over my top, not even an apology , plus side is the atmosphere was good , all in all , with 3 glasses of red wine costing $40 the total bill was $104, plus the mandatory 20% very expensive for pasta
The pasta prix fixe was a wonderful treat and a terrific value
The meals were excellent. The value received was very good. Tables are to close together hard to hold private conversations. But would definitely dine their again.
Delicious, great service & you can’t beat the price.
Fantastic across the board! The crispy prosciutto appetizer was life changing! Efrain and Marco took care of us at the bar and those guys were slangin drinks like pros! Had to wait an hour with a reservation but they made up for it with the bar service!
Food was really good. The only issue was the wait.Reservations for 8:00,waited by bar until 8:30 which was crowded and a little unsettiling.Didn't want dessert because it was so late.Overall was very good.
A lot of energy. I've been a Lidia fan for decades, and kudos to her for preparing her son so well for sticking to the traditions of italian dining, and all the while ensuring that it operates in such a fashion that meets and exceeds the expectations of contemporary diners...great meatballs with my grandmother's; I mean Lidia's Sunday Sauce!
The best Italian food (any food, really !) we have had in a long time!! Everything - from the Caesar salad, the prosciutto, the amazing pasta dishes, and all the desserts we shared -were ALL amazing! The service was also top notch! Our waiter was attentive and friendly but never “over bearing” . The staff, although extremely busy, was pleasant and looked like they loved working there. All of this made for a very pleasant experience. Whenever we go back to New York, we will definitely go back to Becco! Love that place!!
The whole package with great Italian food. Varied menu; superb service.
Delicious. Great value. Great Service.
Another fabulous meal at Becco’s.
Great service great food!
The food is first class. Went on a Thursday night with reservations. My only criticism is that it is very crowded and the noise level is very high to the point where we were almost shouting across the table. Unfortunately this atmosphere distracted from the overall dining experience.
Food was great but they seated us near the door and people were holding the door open so we were freezing as blasts of winter air blew in at regular intervals. Refused to give us another table despite the fact that at the time we complained there were many empty four tops. Place did entirely fill up as is popular pre theater. Service was very good otherwise. Loved the food.
Great food. Handle the pre-theatre crowd well.
First time here, would recommend to others. Had the 3 Pasta’s-phenomenal. Service attentive & crisp.
First time to Becco. It was pre-theater. We loved it. food was delicious..My husband had the whole Bronzino and it was fantastic!!beautifully served and yummy. Our friend had the pulled pork with potatoes and apple that was amazing!!
The other two of us had the pasta special and enjoyed that. Wine was delicious and a value.
Definitely will return and recommend to friends
Enjoyed lunch with friends. Granted it is a busy time of he year but felt that we were being rushed by the wait staff. We were hovered over even after saying we needed more time.
You should consider a no cell policy. There was a large party near us that the only time their yelling over one another was when the various cute (bells, whistles sirens) went off during the meal. would not call it relaxing at all.
Enjoyed Becco a lot! ONLY downside is how they cram people in too close. Might as well just push all the tables together. Other than that it was a great experience.
The atmosphere at Becco is cozy, fun and bustling. The food is delicious and plentiful. The service is excellent. Try the pasta special—you won't be disappointed.
Terrific time as usual.
Food and service was excellent
We had a 12.45 reservation. Very crowded, place in a corner table on the second floor. A table for 4 was one foot removed. Waiter was fine, we had dined there a number of times before and this was not one of our better experiences. We may return but hope for a better table and a more positive dining experience.
We enjoyed being upstairs, nice and cozy and quiet. I have been up there before and asked to be seated there again.
My friends liked it very much, the food is great and the ambiance is very nice.
Visit to NYC for a Broadway show
Becco is always great. They get you in and out quickly if needed, food and service are excellent and the atmosphere is perfect for a fun lunch.
We had a marvelous time at Beccos. Had a noon reservation for three people on matinee day and were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. Unfortunately we were seated very near the front door so each time new guests arrived we were treated to a blast of cold air. That and the noise level of the restaurant are the only detractors. We all ordered the pasta special and each had a different favorite. I must say I'd never had gnocchi served as it was, about an inch thick and a 2" x 2" square. To me it was more like a potato kugel or potato cake, but the flavor was excellent and was actually my favorite of the meal. My daughter loved the sauce on the rigatoni and my husband loved it all but especially the fettuccine with arugula and bay scallops.
Always great food
Would go back. Excellent service. My husband and I both had chicken dishes. Very good. Loud, crowded and full of energy. Felt like a NYC restaurant, loved it. I would visit this restaurant again.
We had a great time. Thank you! We’ll be back.
Have visited Becco many, many times over the years! Love it! But, have to say last night they were uncharacteristically off a bit. Forgot our bean dip and had to ask several times. Sat for quite a bit and then our waiter asked if we had any questions before we ordered. He did not even tell us the specials or the three pasta options at this point. People next to us sat for a good 20 minutes before even being acknowledged. No bread, Olives, etc, delivered until they had to ask for it. Usually it is delivered before we even have a chance to sit down. Then felt at the end of dinner we were rushed out the door. Dessert menu was delivered by our waiter and in less than 2 minutes another gentleman (possibly the manager) asked if we’re having dessert. We declined and he could not have given us our check any faster. Will we go back to Becco? Definitely, yes. Look upon last night as unusual. We shall see going forward.
This is truly an exquisite restaurant with great food and drink it was a perfect setting to visit with a distant relative. The noise was a bit much you had to except that over the quality of the food.
Wonderful dining experience. Food was delicious and staff was extraordinary in service and efficiency. Love this restaurant.
Always a great pre theater dinner ..
Loved it. Always tried and true.
Michael was our waiter. The restaurant was very busy and he was so attentive. Very personable and joked around with us.
This is my second time here and I wanted to love it...but I can’t say I did at all. We made reservations in advance and I was very disappointed that we were seriously packed in like sardines and literally up against a wall. My husband had no elbow room to cut his dinner. It was very loud and the prices high for the portions. Our waiter was the best part of our experience. He was attentive, friendly, and quick. My guests enjoyed their dinners but I did not. The chicken had far too much lemon in it and honestly was not plated in an appealing way. There are far more appealing places in NYC that I would refer friends to for a far better dining experience.
The food and service was great. The spaghetti was the best. The waiters were very polite and helpful. I would definitely go back again!
