Terrible service!

Terrific time as usual.

Visit to NYC for a Broadway show

Becco is always great. They get you in and out quickly if needed, food and service are excellent and the atmosphere is perfect for a fun lunch.

We had a marvelous time at Beccos. Had a noon reservation for three people on matinee day and were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. Unfortunately we were seated very near the front door so each time new guests arrived we were treated to a blast of cold air. That and the noise level of the restaurant are the only detractors. We all ordered the pasta special and each had a different favorite. I must say I'd never had gnocchi served as it was, about an inch thick and a 2" x 2" square. To me it was more like a potato kugel or potato cake, but the flavor was excellent and was actually my favorite of the meal. My daughter loved the sauce on the rigatoni and my husband loved it all but especially the fettuccine with arugula and bay scallops.

Would go back. Excellent service. My husband and I both had chicken dishes. Very good. Loud, crowded and full of energy. Felt like a NYC restaurant, loved it. I would visit this restaurant again.

Have visited Becco many, many times over the years! Love it! But, have to say last night they were uncharacteristically off a bit. Forgot our bean dip and had to ask several times. Sat for quite a bit and then our waiter asked if we had any questions before we ordered. He did not even tell us the specials or the three pasta options at this point. People next to us sat for a good 20 minutes before even being acknowledged. No bread, Olives, etc, delivered until they had to ask for it. Usually it is delivered before we even have a chance to sit down. Then felt at the end of dinner we were rushed out the door. Dessert menu was delivered by our waiter and in less than 2 minutes another gentleman (possibly the manager) asked if we’re having dessert. We declined and he could not have given us our check any faster. Will we go back to Becco? Definitely, yes. Look upon last night as unusual. We shall see going forward.

This is truly an exquisite restaurant with great food and drink it was a perfect setting to visit with a distant relative. The noise was a bit much you had to except that over the quality of the food.

Wonderful dining experience. Food was delicious and staff was extraordinary in service and efficiency. Love this restaurant.

Always a great pre theater dinner ..

Michael was our waiter. The restaurant was very busy and he was so attentive. Very personable and joked around with us.

This is my second time here and I wanted to love it...but I can’t say I did at all. We made reservations in advance and I was very disappointed that we were seriously packed in like sardines and literally up against a wall. My husband had no elbow room to cut his dinner. It was very loud and the prices high for the portions. Our waiter was the best part of our experience. He was attentive, friendly, and quick. My guests enjoyed their dinners but I did not. The chicken had far too much lemon in it and honestly was not plated in an appealing way. There are far more appealing places in NYC that I would refer friends to for a far better dining experience.

The food and service was great. The spaghetti was the best. The waiters were very polite and helpful. I would definitely go back again!

Food was great as usual, service was prompt, but totally impersonal. We did not see one person on the staff all night smile or act like they enjoyed their jobs. They didn't do a bad job, just seemed off.

Tables very close together where you had to move them to get out.

We were served our salad before appetizer. Appetizer took a long time. Everything else was perfect! This was my second time dinning a Becco.

Loved our waiter. He impressed my daughters by asking the ladies at the table for their orders first. They never experienced that in a restaurant. Definitely enjoyed our evening.

This restaurant was so disappointing! Mario Batali’s restaurants are phenomenal and we expected the same from Bastianich—Becco is a terrible tourist trap! Lousy service and flavorless food. Do NOT be fooled by other reviews. The antipasti caldo was awful....pasta was blah. All glasses-4 wine and 4 were empty at the same time. Waiter said he was bringing salad bc the antipasti caldo would, “take a long time”...next thing we know, salads and apps crowding table at once.

As usual Becco's proved to be an exceptional value for the quality and quantity of the food you receive. The service was excellent.

The food and service was amazing for my friends birthday party. They were very accommodating to our requests and were always courteous. One thing is that 9 people had to really squeeze at a table. But everything else was perfect would recommend going!!!

have been here several times and not sure why I come back, we went for a nice dinner in the city and it was a mess. Our waiter was just downright nasty. sat down with no menus and it took 40 minutes for the waiter to show up and when he did, he asked "yeah what do you want?" like i had wandered off the street looking for a handout. Never got any better with him. very dismissive when asked for a recommendation and looked at me, mumbled and walked away, I understand everyone has a bad day but this seems to be the norm. I cant complain about the food but eating out is a package deal and 1/2 good is not good enough.

Becco's never disappoints. Love the atmosphere, the food, just about everything! It's a special place that takes me away for a few hours.

As far as NY restaurants, the price was pretty good. However, the tables were jammed so close together and the noise level was very high. The food was good, too.

We had a last-minute reservation for 12 at the start of the holiday season and they were able to accommodate us. We then had an additional 3 people join us and they STILL accommodated us with no problem. Wait staff was extremely nice, food was PHENOMENAL. Will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful afternoon!

First seated in a very cold room where the door continually opened. They moved us at our request. Service was rushed and disorganized. Food was fair at best. We were disappointed.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. Our table was ready when we arrived even though there was a large theater crowd. Our server Michael was excellent. He was one of the best servers we have ever had. Three in our party ordered the price fix lunch ( 3 pastas and a salad) Everything was delicious and a great value. We asked for a side of meatballs and although that wasn't on the menu , they made them for us! Overall a wonderful experience. The only slightly negative thing would be the price of some beverages ( $4.50 for a coffee with out refills {so 2 coffee per person was $9} and $7 for a bottle of water). I would highly recommend and look forward to returning. Thank you Michael!!

Becco was recommended by the concierge and after reading many glowing recommendations, we decided to book dinner for our Saturday night girls trip. It was convenient to our hotel, the atmosphere was nice but I have to say that the food was not what I had hoped for. The short rib was fatty, my veal chop was good, the chicken Parm was good. But at the end of the night, most of our plates were sent back to the kitchen full. It wasn’t that it was bad, it just wasn’t great. The affordable wine choices are amazing and probably the first that I’ve ever had in the city.

My husband and I have been coming every year since we met (4 years) and every year we are blown away at the service, the food, the atmosphere. It's truly only the holiday season when we come in for dinner. Thank you for making our dining experience exceptional.

We truly enjoyed our dinning experience....the food was AMAZING, the service outstanding and we felt like we were in Lidia’s home having dinner!! We would highly recommend Becco’s!!!
