Good food and courteous quick service. Great location for theater goers.
Always wonderful and the service is excellent! Great value and perfect for pre-theatre dining.
It was a pleasure to visit Becco. It was my second visit there and it was just as delicious as the first time. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and delivered our food promptly as my friend and I were headed to a show. We ordered the special dinner which included a Caesar salad and 3 samples of pasta. It was a wonderful choice.
Pre-theatre value indeed! Service was exceptional, with one exception. Some of my party were shown to my table -- others were given general directions and wandered for quite a bit before finding us. The food was good and as expected... but not great. The portions were ample. Had to track down our waiter to get our bill.
But for pre-theatre, this is a very good option.
Great restaurant to go to before the theater. Excellent service and food.
We had a great meal! Service was excellent! The only thing we noticed was that the service was so on point that we felt rather rushed because they were doing everything so quickly, serving, clearing. It may have been to get everyone out for their shows on time. Would definitely eat there again! Food was excellent! And nice size portions with salad included.
The tableside pasta was to die for as well as the homemade Caesar salad. We also had sausage and broccoli rabe with beans and salmon with brussel sprouts which were cooked perfectly. Service was incredible and the $35 wine list is a great deal. Stuffed to the gills with a nice little buzz for under $170 including tax and tip in NYC for a a quality meal for two, can’t beat it! Can’t wait to return.
Always consistent, great service and quality eats. Love this place !
I've been going to Becco for something like 28 years. I always enjoy the Sinfonia di Paste and the other dishes have also been excellent. This time, we were in the back room, which is usually the best place to be but the service was a bit slow and I had to ask to be served a few times. The room was also noisier than in the past perhaps because of a couple of larger groups they seated in the room. Don't get me wrong, the food was very good and all in all, it was a very good experience. And I will go there again the next time I'm in New York. I have just become accustomed to better service.
Our waiter Michael was amazing!!
Amazing service from Micheal. He was so friendly, and took such great care of us!
Spaghetti was not that great. The veal Ragu was amazing
We had the family style dinner and enjoyed it tremendously. We had a family member who was vegan and gluten free and the waiter was extremely attentive to ensure she had a wide variety of foods to choose from.
Great value for money with an extensive wine list
Great food. Tight seating but good value for the food quality. Really good deal on daily pasta special. And it’s fantastic.
The staff is informative and lovely - took excellent care of us. The specials they offer on pasta and wine are amazing! The ambiance was lovely. I didn’t love the pastas offered that night found them a tad salty that is my only complaint. Would def go back!
The service and food were excellent as well as price.
A wonderful restaurant. Never disappointed!!
I go to Becco every time I’m in NYC and after every Broadway show.
Loved Becco!! Wait staff was excellent. Food excellent! Really enjoyed our lunch.
I've eaten at Becco's many times and have never been disappointed except in my stomach for not being able to eat more.
We’ve heard great things, so we were excited to try. I’d try again when it’s not a rushed theater seating.
We were seated upstairs in a corner and situated so tightly packed in we were cornered in. There was an old olive and bread crumbs on our table when we were seated. The food was fine but not overly memorable in a good way and our waiter was very rushed, literally tossed a menu in guest’s lap while glancing across the room. He also forgot our drinks. Bread was burned, and breadsticks were tooth-breakers. Hummus was delightful. Cesar salad was nicely presented but had a lot of wilted greens. Spaghetti was overloaded with salt, Penne was good, fusilli was as great as my grandmother’s church supper Mac & cheese, which is a compliment, but also not what I would have expected. Coffee was great, deserts didn’t appeal.
Needless to say, I think we were there on an off day.
I first went to Becco 10 years ago on the recommendation from a friend. I am happy to say that I return each time for a lovely meal. Sometimes I am in the mood for the pasta specialty. On Saturday I was in the mood for steak and it was delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants when we come to NYC. Excellent food, great service, reasonably priced. Bartenders make an excellent martini (not everyone does) and the wine list is very nice as well. My husband had the grilled veal chop - best he's ever had. The rest of us couldn't decide so we went for the three pastas that were offered Saturday night. We had a hard time deciding which we liked the best. Look forward to our next visit.
Omg. The food was amazing!
The tables are packed in and the crowd is clearly tourist-heavy. The pasta, entrees, and dessert were delicious, though, and more than made up for the noise and crowd. The servers came so often to try to refill my pasta I couldn't keep up.
This was our first time at Becco. It was definitely everything we were told. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We both had the “all you can eat “ pasta. It was unbelievable how good pasta can really be. We were told they change the offerings of the three different types of pasta you can pick from all the time so you are not getting the same thing every time you go. We will definitely be back.
The food and service were very good but the place is too crowded with people standing in the bar area on top of the people eating making it very uncomfortable for the people eating.
food was outstanding!! never disappoints. The short ribs were the most tender that I have ever eaten
We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday after a show. Our waiter was very helpful with guiding me which entree would be good for me since I have a food allergy. Both of my daughters and my wife also had satisfying meals. We enjoyed the full dining experience.
our meal was at 2:45 so the place was relatively quiet and we really enjoyed ourselves. We've been there many times and always enjoyed the food. Sometimes the crowd is too big though so this time was a real treat for us.
Pre matinee dining. Excellent food. Service was good and mindful of show times to ensure we were able to make our show.
Great meal with the family!
Great food, good service, way too loud.
First time at Becco (yeah, I know, it's only been there since like 1992!). Friday night, on Restaurant Row, and we were not going pre-theater. Guess that's why we were able to get a 7:45 pm reservation just 2 days prior. We had the Sinfonia di Pasta - 3 pastas, served tableside, all you can eat. Turns out, none of us (table of 3) were able to eat seconds! That said, all 3 pastas were quite good - our favorite being the linguini with clams - very garlicky and real clams. The other two were a farfalle in red sauce, and a mushroom ravioli. The meal comes with choice of caesar salad or a Misto (mixture of grilled vegetables and marinated seafood) - both were very well prepared. All this for $25.95 per person makes for a really good deal. We added on some drinks and the dessert platter for 2 (which was enough for the 3 of us). All in all, a very enjoyable dinner at a reasonable price point. We plan to go back to try some of the main dishes, and sample the $35 wine bottle list. This would certainly be a great pre-theater choice as well, but I'd guess that you need to reserve early for a Friday or Saturday night.
Unfortunately they placed us by the bar area and we kept on getting hit by people squeezing by the bar area. And not to mention people just lingering in the bar area. Was not pleasant. Pasta was tasty by over cooked. Our server was very nice but they should rethink putting dining tables near bar area
Fantastic dinner! Amazing service!
The apps were very bland or off in taste. The entrees were decent but not anything special. One standout were the mushroom ravioli, otherwise the meal was just OK. Service was good. The table we were seated at was extremely small and could not even fit the bread basket and dip without having to tilt and move all other items on the table. Maybe using smaller bread baskets for tables of two would help.
Amazing food and service
Not for native New Yorkers. This place is for tourists. The tables are packed in tightly and are so close it is uncomfortable. I am not sure what the hype is about because I was underwhelmed by the food as well.
Great for pre-theater dining. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Becco.
