Always a great dining experience
Restaurant is extremely loud. Service was well slower than expected for theatergoing crowd. Hostess sat us along side a couple at a four top which was strange for both of us. Food was average. There are other better options at that price point.
Broadway show for my parents’ anniversary.
good for one visit
---too many great italian ny restaurants
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend when in NYC.
Our second lunch at Becco, while not as memorable and outstanding as the first, was still a good experience. The three fresh pasta options were not all favorites - one was very good, one was tasty but nothing special, the third was just ok. That's the luck of the draw as they change each day. Bread, dip, and olives were fine. Service was outstanding. We sat in a small room upstairs, so although it wasn't as much fun as being in the bustle downstairs, it was quiet for talking - a rarity in most famous/popular restaurants these days. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return on a future trip to NYC.
Power outage in manhattan. No answer when I called to see if they were open.
I am giving Becco an Outstanding review based on their handling of the power outage on 7/12.
The staff were very professional and handled what they called "A New York Moment" with a positive and professional attitude. No panic, just good humor and grace. They did not need to comp our meal, as we had just finished eating (well, maybe would have gone for seconds on the penne). We were actually first given a form to fill out so that they could contact us the next day to arrange payment, and I would have done that. Almost immediately, however, the manager told us not to provide the information, as they wanted to comp our meal, siting inconvenience and the little bit of smoke from the kitchen due to the failure of the fans. We go there whenever we are in Manhattan-a family tradition. The food is always good, the service professional, and the prices very reasonable.
We had almost finished our meal when the power went out! The meal was amazing and the staff could not have been any more helpful and accommodating. Great way to spend the bkackout!
We were seated right away in the area we requested and the staff was very pleasant and the food as always excellent. And honestly the wine list any bottle one price is fantastic!!
The food is amazing but the tables are way to crowded even for a NYC place.
Great food, and quick service for going to the theater. Had mussel appetizer and fish entree.
the fresh pasta was great! the service was attentive
and excellent experience!
We both had the pasta special. Liked all three options but felt the spaghetti had the least flavor. Ragu and ravioli were much better. Good service.
Very well run restaurant with plenty of professionally trained wait staff. The front of the house is clean and organized. The menu covers a lot of territory with offerings at many different price points including selections for a rather modest amount. Food is properly prepared and presented and not rushed--although, being in the theatre district, they always inquire about whether you have reservations for a show and what the start time is. Very enjoyable experience with excellent food and service.
Stunning. Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had, amazing $33 wine bottle list, great Veal Piccata, AND the best dessert my wife and I have ever had! Stunning.
Seat at the bar tables, it’s quieter and nicer.
Great Italian restaurant near Times Square. The appetizers were good and the Fixed price dinner special was a good value. Atmosphere was Group friendly. Highly recommended!
Waiter was nice, not his fault the food was trash, but the food was sub par; there was only three pasta dishes on the menu which was surprising considering it’s an Italian restaurant.
My lettuce was brown and soggy
Becco’s always delivers great food and service! It’s a must do whenever we come to Manhattan!
Pre theater. Very crowded. Definitively go before 6 for 8 pm theater
Excellent food! We were set in the bar area and were extremely cramped. The atmosphere was not great and it was extremely loud but the pasta was outstanding.
The pasta special is an unbeatable deal. Mushroom ravioli - amazing!
It’s our favorite in NYC!
Absolutely the best place in the area. Their 3 pasta dish is out of this world. It's all you can eat, but between the delicious bread basket, the antipasto and then a platter full of amazing pasta, there's no room for seconds. You must make reservations, don't even think of trying to go without one. Highly, highly recommend it.
Been here many times over many years. Totally consistent food quality and value. Can be very busy prior to show time but everyone seems to get fed in time to make their shows. The 3 Pasta pre fix meal is always our go to and tastes great.
Too little space between tables overcrowded. Only one waiter poor guy he was great his name is Allen but cant handle all the people. Food was average.
This place was amazing! Skip the tourist spots and come have authentic Italian food!
The best part is getting a table in the requested area (the original bs k room with skylight). As always the 3 pasta specials is one of the best deals in NYC AND ALMOST ALWAYS THE 3 pastas are ALL fantastic. Service is always good and this very popular place gets packed and thus can be noisy. You must make reservations days in advance; especially for weekends. This was the first time that all the pastas were not delivered the first 2 of the three came at once - after 10 mins I had to ask 2 different members of the staff for the 3 pasta. This was the first time this has ever happened and I have been a regular from the very beginning even before the liquor permit was approved. After the requests the rounds of asks for refills was on the usual par for the place.
You can not beat correctly cooked fresh seafood in well created combinations. The price point was amazing and service amazing. It's restaurant row, so expect a rush before curtain time.
Not in the mood for pasta I ordered a dish not usually seen in Italian restaurants. Pulled pork cooked in German beer! WOW best ever. A slightly spicy salsa verde on top it was phenomenal. GO TO BECCO
We went pre-theatre and the
We went for a late lunch (which has the same menu just less expensive than dinner). We all went for the unlimited trip pasta meals (kids price has the same portions without a salad). Salads and anti pasta was great. and the Pasta was fresh and tasty. It was unlimited till we could bust. Reasonable pricing for theater district. Great service too.
It was very good. The only negative I would say is my husband ordered the three pasta special and being Italian the gnocchi did not resemble any gnocchi I’ve ever eaten. The orchiette with cauliflower and bacon was very good.
Really enjoyed our dinner. Food was great; I had swordfish which was plentiful and cooked to perfection. The unlimited pasta is clever. Service pleasant but harried. Ran out of wine I was drinking by the glass and offered me a a half glass at half price. Eh..if it were my restaurant I would have given it to the guest.
Get the all you can eat pasta. Full stop.
Becco never fails to make me want to return each time I visit NYC
One restaurant that keeps it standard very high always. Thank you Lidia and family
Had dinner Wednesday evening before a show with my elderly great uncle. My uncle arrived before I had, and our server Robert chatted him up before my arrival. The food was great, at an excellent price, and we had an overall fantastic meal. I again want to point out the service we received from Robert, it was top notch.
