There was 6 of us for dinner. I had the sea scallops to share. There were only two, but cooked perfectly and tasty. I also had the lump crab cakes which were very good and no shells. Also enjoyed the mediterranean brussel sprouts as a side which were yummy as well.
Others had the shrimp and crab ceviche which they said was excellent. Also the Portuguese fish and seafood stew was great.
Best dinner I've had in a long time. Great food and service.
Food was rather poor. I ordered the seared tuna. It was not seared. It was also overcooked. My husband did not like his sandwich. Neither did my sister like hers. We were disappointed in the quality of the food.
An impromptu lunch, and still impressive nonetheless. Food was excellent as always, the Bloody Mary was a perfect lunchtime segue from the breakfast menu — breakfast ends at 1030 — and the seasonal mimosa was filled with unexpected yet uncomplicated flavors.
It is a beautiful restaurant, and somewhere to celebrate a special occasion. The food was outstanding, with great service.
A lovely evening with some dear girlfriends enjoying the hamburger and wine special on Monday night, we so enjoy the ambience, we took a stroll outside to look at the fire pit and the outdoor lighting hopefully to be out there soon and dining outside. Lovely time had by all five of us. Celebrating my birth month
Overall another great brunch! One of our entrees was not prepared well and was promptly re-done without question. Well done!
Another enchanted experience at Becca! WOW, this place is like a time capsule. I keep expecting to meet Gatsby. The food was simply amazing and so was the service; from the valet to our server. Simply perfection. Chicken and waffles with a side of smoked sausage!! Need I say more? Also, the overall smell of the hotel when I entered was so captivating I had to learn what the source was. The attention to detail right down to the air scent is truly appreciated.
The atmosphere was amazing, the service was impeccable! The food could have been better for the price, $22 for eggs is a bit much but I will definitely go back because everything else was so great!
We arrived at 10 min prior to our reservation time and told our table would be ready by our scheduled time. We were told to return to podium at that time. When we arrived again we still had to wait a bit more. That was a little disappointing. We also had to ask for the complimentary popover bread since it was never offered to us. Other than that the rest of the meal was great. The waitress was actually very nice and attentive (other than the bread issue). The food was delicious. The atmosphere and ambiance was lively yet intimate. The menu changes with the seasons so I would return again.
Olivia was our server and she was AMAZING. We went for a birthday celebration and it could not have been more perfect. We are already planning our return trip. 😊
Celebrated our wedding anniversary here. This was our first time coming to Becca, in fact, our first time coming to The Cavalier. When booking with Open Table I added a note that it was our anniversary. Upon giving the hostess my name she welcomed us with "Happy Anniversary." Which I thought was wonderful. The decor is beautiful: classic and clean. Our server, Andrew, was phenomenal! He was welcoming, offered great recommendations, made sure everything was to our liking, and he made our experience much more enjoyable. The complimentary popovers are delicious... the appearance and texture of a traditional popover but the flavor reminded us of hushpuppies. The accompanying honey butter sweetened the savory flavor. I ordered the "Everything" Cesear Salad but unfortunately I didn't understand the menu *. Their salad comes with a Curry Cesear dressing but it had an *stating it could be prepared traditional style. I thought that meant you still received everything listed EXCEPT you received the traditional dressing. I was a little bummed when a basic Cesear salad came but it was still delicious. My husband ordered the Crab Soup and it was delectable. For our entree, I ordered the Crab Cakes and my husband ordered the Rock Fish. Both were yummy but the Rock Fish was definitely the winner. The First Lady cocktail was sweet and reminiscent of Fall- I would definitely order it again. The Smoked Old Fashion is an experience for your eyes AND tastebuds. We didn't get dessert because we carried the celebration to The Hunt Room but I will definitely come back and be sure to grab dessert. If you want delicious food, a gorgeous atmosphere and superb service come to Becca. If you get Andrew! Make sure you spend some time walking the grounds, especially at sunset! Walk out into the garden for a view of the ocean and enjoy the moonlight over the building. This is a date night MUST!
Last night my husband and I tried Becca for the first time. Our server Andrew was amazing!!! He guided us through all of our questions and provided outstanding service! I had the rockfish special and my husband had the crab cakes and double fried potatoes with us sharing the trio dessert. All of the food was delicious. We will definitely return for another date night.
We got to the restaurant about 30 min before our reservation so we stopped by the Raleigh Room (directly next to the restaurant in the hotel lobby) and had a drink. I had a “Smoked Old Fashioned” made with the hotels bourbon that is brewed on site. It was an excellent cocktail.
Once our reservation time came we were seated right away. Our server Andrew was witty, knowledgeable and fun.
I had planned on ordering something from the menu I had seen online, but apparently they do burger night every Monday, and the other burgers I saw coming out of the kitchen looked so good I decided to go for it. I had a burger made with BBQ sauce cooked with the hotels bourbon. It was excellent. My wife had a grilled rockfish that was cooked perfectly.
We don’t normally do dessert at restaurants — I feel like they often can disappoint. But again, the other diners had desserts that looked to good to pass up. I ordered the special which was a chocolate cake. I was surprised how good it was actually. Moist, not too much frosting, and fantastic. My wife had a apple tart Tatin that was just the right ratio of apple to pastry.
We can’t wait to come back again. Loved this place!
My family of 13 people plus one toddler had brunch at Becca last weekend. The restaurant did a great job accommodating our large party and could be able to seat all of us at the same table. The hotel was beautiful and the restaurant was as well. It wasn’t overly busy so it was rather quiet and we could hear each other talking. Our server, even though was very attentive, was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people. I would think for a big party like this perhaps two servers may be needed. However she did her best and a good job. Our cocktails were delicious. However, my Bloody Mary supreme was a bit disappointed. I asked for extra spicy but didn’t get it. It took close to an hour by the time we all got our food. Everybody enjoyed their food, me included. I ordered chicken and waffles and it was delish. I would go back again and perhaps try the tea service next time.
Katie was an amazing server, so attentive and genuine! Dinner was phenomenal!
I would have given it a better review but I had the razor clams with truffle and the clams were full of sand. I informed the waiter but nothing was done about it. My wife had a fillet which was delicious, definitely not all bad.
Wonderful! It is a must for travelers to appreciate Virginia Beach!
My wife & I loved the ambiance, aesthetics, location, service & people. Just wished we could've had more food for the price. Overall it was a new restaurant for date night & we enjoyed ourselves.
The food was amazing and they really had great service and checked on us often to make sure we were doing great. Loved it. Best steak I've had in a long time.
As always, Becca's did not disappoint. This was my first time for the Monday night burger night and it was very nice, fun night. The service was outstanding, especially considering how crowded it was. The restaurant was full, so it is obviously a very popular night. I will be back to share burger night with some friends who have yet to experience it!
I went for burger night, supposedly $15 for a burger, one side and a glass of wine. At the end, my wine alone was $30 for a glass, plus the charge for the the burger and fries and dessert. This confuses me because the Server asked if I would be ordering from the burger menu or the traditional dinner menu. I told him I was ordering from the burger menu and then proceeded to order a glass of red wine (which I thought it was part of the $15 burger night special). In short, my $15 meal ended up $50.
I brought my mother to Becca to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately when she ordered what she wanted for brunch we were told they were all out. She settled for a hamburger which we could have gotten anywhere. Then she ordered her birthday dessert and again “they were out”. Certainly not the experience I had hoped for after making the 2 hour trip there!
Food was SUPERB !!!! All round amazing dining experience.
Wonderful, high - end restaurant. Service was superb. Food quality great. I was impressed that there were many reasonably priced wines on the list.
Server was excellent—jaden!
Didn’t live where we were seated—in side room—very dark. Moved once because hostess sat us in front of wait station.
Beautiful space in the lovely Cavalier Hotel at the oceanfront. Valet parking is apparently mandatory - maybe locals know better.
The creamy crab soup was oustanding, the sorbet trio wonderfully flavorful, catch of the day nicely done.
Sadly, the crab cakes were average, the apple coleslaw tasteless, so that meal at $32 (?) was below value. Under other circumstances I would have sent it back.
Our waiter was likeable, and service was elegant, but with some interesting gaps given it was a slow winter weeknight.
We were looking for some decent food after a long road trip, and, overall, Becca delivered. I'd happily return for the crab soup and ambiance.
Disappointed. We hadn't been to the remodeled Cavalier until this experience. Decided to make reservations on the night of our 30th wedding anniversary. The whole thing was disappointment after disappointment. Very nice setting. Wanted a 7:30 pm reservation which wasn't available. Took an 8 pm. When we walked in the restaurant was no more than 20% full. We ordered wine. After first pour, the waitress never again poured our wine. My wife had soup while I had a salad. When she finished first she had to actually hand her empty soup bowl to waitress to get it cleared while I was still eating. My first choice New York strip steak was unavailable. Ok, that happens although it's a pretty limited menu to start with. I ordered a steak done medium rare. I received a well done steak. When I sent it back, the waitress informed me that "the kitchen agreed with me", ohhhh, that's nice, the kitchen agrees with the customer? It took about 35 minutes to get a new steak. The quality of that was quite nice. My wife's fish was ok, but nothing to brag about. The manager did offer a sincere apology and gave us a very nice bottle of wine to take home. But then the bill we received was incorrect. I'm sorry to say Becca has a long way to go to be a top Virginia Beach restaurant.

Nice atmosphere, food was very good, the Burger night is a very good value.
We went for Hamburger night. It was delicious! Service was great too.
Delicious burger and great wine !!!! Beautiful atmosphere.
We, the girlfriends, eat here a lot! This experience was the best bang for our bucks! Wow. delicious hamburgers , GREAT wait staff, very friendly and attentive. I sure hope the burger nights continue.
I sure wish Becca would return the prime rib, too. The past couple of times it was not on the menu.
The view is amazing and we will be back ! Bobbie
The burger that was ordered medium rare was well done and so it was dry. It took over 5 minutes to get ketchup to go withe the fries. The manager came to our table to ask how things were and we told him. He apologized and offered us dessert for free. The same burger the week before was so good, which made this visit a little disappointing. The response from the manager will have us returning with the hope that it was just an off day for them. The crab cake sandwich was perfect.
Bread servedl was over cooked and crust was hard..had to break open and pullout inside in order to eat . Crab soup was tasty but only had slivers of crab no chunks.Questioned waiter, he said one ounce of crab meat is served on top when presented...this was not the case. Requested butter for bread and was told they were out. He said it is made on premises, frozen and they had to wait for it to thaw. ..was brought at end of meal. Waiter was polite and informative. This was our first visit and it was disappointing. We will give it another chance. Had wanted to visit since opening!
Over all I had a good time. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves. My complaints were that my brussel sprouts came out completely black (burnt) and we ordered a drink to enjoy after dinner but didn't get it till way after (clearly forgot about our drink till we ask about it) and we feel the entrees were over prices (but did taste good). The appetizers and desserts were the best priced and tasting of the whole menu. Over all i would come back for those only.
Hotel is very nice. Restaurant was pleasant and service was adequate. Food quality was average.
The service was outstanding, from the greeting at the door, being seated early to the outstanding wait staff. The ambience was terrific.
The food not so great... It was cold, I do not recommend the Chicken and Waffles, the waffle was rubbery and cold, the butter did not even melt, the chicken is nothing more than chicken strips. The cheeseburger was tasty but somewhat over cooked, warm but not hot. French fries were good...
Amazing place. We went again the next day to try their brunch - simply the best you ll find in VA Beach.
Fine Dinning, hmm?
Poorly trained staff. It’s obvious no one who is working client facing positions has any concept of time.
It took ten minutes before anyone actually approached our table...then, not a word spoken. No hello. No greeting. They just pour us tap water. Oh and still no waiter.
Finally we urged a random waiter to help us.
Appetizers were finally order, along with entrees. This only after management was engaged.
Our appetizers were finally served. Delicious! Absolutely up to the reputation.
Then the staff went into a long winter’s hibernation. The replacement waitress did an honorable job of checking in on us but after what ended as a fifty minute wait and a dozen excuses we called it quits.
NY dinners. Yes we expect a lot. We don’t expect however to share the multiple birthdays waiting for a meal.
