We’ve gone a few times for happy hour, once they were out of almost everything we wanted to order & this last time they completely changed their happy hour menu, we were very disappointed and won’t be going back.
The food was good, but we were seating in a very boring part of the restaurant, with almost no windows (the front-most section), and very few people. It was kind of a damper, as I had hoped to have a fun, lively brunch. I also didn't love the $30+ mimosas. They just weren't that tasty for that price.
Beavers is a good spot for adult beverages and grown up bar food. Lots of TVs for your favorite sport event and good outdoor seating to enjoy the weather
Very attentive service. Not too many healthy brunch options and no decaf coffee available. Very noisy
Took a while to figure oiy
Had a great brunch. It would be nice if they didn’t require you to valet park though.
We went as a family (4 total) for my husbands birthday. I have two little girls. A one and two year old. So we really enjoyed the atmosphere outside, great playlist, shaded area, and coloring pages for the girls. They also helped make it a little special for my husband and brought him a dessert out to share with us! We really enjoyed our day and the girls loved the food! We all left on very full bellies and felt it was worth every penny! Thank you for a great time!
Our food was cold and we waited a while to get it. Enjoyed the meal and I’m willing to revisit again.
The menu changed once again. Just frustrating. The $15 44 Farms burger is nothing to rave about either is the fried chicken sandwich. The fries all came less than an inch in length. We are going back to Texas Roadhouse for these two entrees
The food was great with a wonderful presentation. We were all pleased with the portion size, the quality was excellent.
The staff was great for my family Christmas gathering. Very understanding and accommodating. Manager very observant and congenial. Would definitely recommend for the ambiance and environment. Food was just a bit above average but for a large party, acceptable.
I still don't get it. Why is this supposed to be good again?
Don't get me wrong. There's nothing inherently wrong with it. It's fine, I suppose, for young upwardly-mobile families who want to get their drank on and let their small kids run around outside. Otherwise, I don't really see the draw.
That said, putting really, really good BBQ in very good mac & cheese should probably warrant being enshrined on Mt. Rushmore or the $20 bill. Last time I went my ears were bleeding (metaphorically) because all of the kids were so loud, but it was better this time for some reason.
I can't think of a substantially more effective way to needlessly poke your customers in the eye than needlessly making them valet park. Can you?
Excellent place! Customer service was Top Notch!!! Great food and Drinks!!!
Service was spectacular! In terms of food, you gotta try the buffalo cauliflower.
Excellent service. Food took a little longer than normal to come out but was delicious. I’ll be back.
Beaver’s is great. I’ve eaten here several times & they never disappoint.
Great Atmosphere! Great food
This was our 3rd time eating here – twice for brunch & this was the first time for dinner. It was by far better than brunch and we had an amazing server, Nanette, which made the experience even more better. 10/10 would recommend for dinner! The food was delicious and so flavorful.
Really good...Best Bloody Mary!!
Beaver's is a neighborhood go-to, a great nighttime spot for drinks and bbq.
Its a good place to grab brunch and watch football on Sunday mornings. The portions are Texas size and are a good value, the mixed drinks are a little overpriced though. Selection of $4 beers helps. There is forced comp valet which is always weird.
Everyone at the table ordered a different brunch dish and they were all great. My second visit and loved it again. Casual, relaxing and great food.
The food was delicious, service excellent, & a fun atmosphere.
Loved it one of the best outdoor seating the fire pit wowed
OMG the brisket grilled cheese is amazing! We enjoyed sitting outside, listening to the great music and eating yumminess!
Our 5 year old's favorite place. Barbecue and queso are pretty good and the outdoor space is great for kids.
Awesome. I went back on three consecutive days.
Awesome food we were so impressed!!!!
Very nice restaurant.
Valet the car and sat down promptly. After receiving the menu, reviewed the menu and ready to order, there were no more oysters or briskets or any other bbq meats. Only can order sausages or hamburgers I believe is what waiter said since all other menu required bbq meats. We left and paid for valet parking. Everyone there was nice but wish someone would have informed us they ran out of everything b4 we sat down at 7pm on a Saturday.
The service was excellent & the food was wonderful. The cocktails were very good too. The atmosphere is comfortable & kid friendly but you still get a nice adult feel at the bar if that’s what you choose. I will mos def be back. EXCELLENT!!! I wld highly recommend.
In searching for something different, we found this restaurant on the list of "38 Restaurants to visit for the summer in Houston". Unfortunately, despite some generally good reviews, we found the food quality and overall experience lacking for our $ spent. We were hopeful when we tasted the smoked queso appetizer, however, I must admit that it went downhill from there. The burger was nothing special, the ribs were a bit fatty and the side orders, again, bland to forgettable. Sorry, but this will be a no-go for me for another visit.
A nice casual place with good service and great food.
Enjoyed the restaurant. A little upset they ran out of the deviled eggs, but the food was really good and you get a lot of it. Will definitely return.
We went for Houston Restaurant Week for brunch last Sunday. I made a reservation for a regular table (it had options for outside, high top, or standard table). When we arrived, there was no host at the host stand. We waited a few minutes, then poked our heads into the restaurant looking for someone who worked there before returning to the empty host stand. Eventually an employee asked if we had been helped, I said no and I told him about my reservation. He walked us around the restaurant which had a few empty tables, and said we could sit outside (but partially enclosed in a room with AC) on a high-top. It was okay but got uncomfortable, after a while, I was ready to leave.
We did have good service, the waitress checked on us frequently and was honest when she said there might be a wait for the food, but it came out fairly quick. They were out of hot sauce which was a bit weird as well.
The food wasn't hot, we sent back the gravy and biscuits and received another slightly warmer. My chicken and waffles came with four waffle pieces and 1 small chicken (no larger than the size of a chicken nugget) on top of each. So, I ultimately got 4 chicken nuggets as my chicken & waffles "entree" - it was the size of a kid's meal. $60+ later (1 drink and two $20 brunches) I left disappointed. Before receiving the main meal we were given a coupon for free queso on our next visit, which was odd timing, and there is no reason to re-visit, unfortunately.
Second time there. Horrible service. Food was mediocre. Queso was 16 dollars w tiny bits of brisket. Seriously? Will not go back again.
Went there with a friend for HRW. Was sorely disappointed in the food and especially the service. I've been to the original location and was happy. This one...not so much. I don't know if it was because they weren't busy, but the waiter never refilled our water. The water glasses were dirty, both of them! I could never get our waiter's attention to ask about my burger. They never offered ketchup for my fries, so they were naked... ok while they were hot, but when they get cold I'm a dipper! We won't be back.
We went in for restaurant week menu (brunch) they had our reservation and immediately sat us. Unfortunately it took a really long time for a waiter to acknowledge us, and I’m certain the gentlemen who ended up serving us was not the intended. But he took GREAT care of us once we got things rolling. Was a little disappointed that they were out of deviled eggs, hibiscus juice (effected certain frozen drinks) and pomegranate juice (too compliment the bottle of champagne ONLY $30!!)
Over all great experience and will definitely true.
The food was fantastic, when we received it hot. The starters arrived to our table cold. Our service was terrible, however. Our server only came by about every 30 minutes, and when he did, he tended to forget what he was supposed to be bringing us. We were there about 45 minutes before he even got our food order. In his defense, I went outside with my children so they could play a bit, and he was covering tables far from our section, outside. It appears that they were understaffed on this particular Sunday.
Deviled eggs are a MUST! The Brisket Grilled Cheese was also AWESOME! Ask for Dennis as your server!
