The food came out so fast. For an expensive restaurant that we waited a long time to go to- we were in and out in an hour. Disappointed
We celebrated my birthday at Beauty and Essex… everything was amazing from the food, the service and the ambiance. A true dining experience. My daughter took charge of ordering several “large plates” for the table, so we got to try a little of almost everything on the menu!
Had an amazing time there yesterday
Front desk could of been more friendly and more inviting. Other than that, food and vibe was on spot!
We paid $4 per glass for soda water which is usually free. This comes out of the tap bartenders use for sodas, etc. so it’s tap water with bubbles. I have eaten at 5-star restaurants for 40+ years and I’m appalled at having spent quite a lot on soda water!
Very loud and crowded, However the food is always incredible. The grilled cheese dumplings are highly recommended
An experience , the street corn pasta was very unique and tasty. The tuna tacos were amazing
Daughter’s 21st bday. Amazing food & fantastic service. Gorgeous setting!
Nice brunch experience. Pretty low key and more mellow then expected which was a plus. Food was pretty good but not served hot. SKYE was an amazing server. She made the whole experience wonderful!
I came here to celebrate my sister’s birthday and I was beyond impressed with the great customer service I received. The whole party had a great time and I will be coming back as well as recommending this place to others. The hostess with short hair was super sweet and the manager was great as well. They definitely added to the great service my whole party received.
I booked this place for my sister's 30th birthday and it was perfect. The food is delicious and the service is superb.

Absolutely incredible food in a very cool venue. Highly recommend!!!
It was great! Abigail was very attentive and sweet!
Aubrie was an amazing server! Knowledgeable, welcoming, present and thorough! The food was beautiful, atmosphere amazing. Will definitely be back!
The atmosphere, the service, the presentation and the flavors were all amazing. We made reservations and I highly recommend you do. The virgin cocktails were delicious and obviously freshly made. The grilled cheese dumplings were our ratatouille moment and everything after was phenomenal. We shared all the dishes and we were so full by the end but couldn't pass up dessert. It was so hard to choose but we went with the chocolate pot de creme, the biscotti was fresh and delicious and the mouse was "chefs kiss" heaven I highly recommend this.
It was a really good experience the restaurant is very cute and the birthday girl enjoyed herself
Excellent food and superb service. Our server made some great recommendations and they were perfect. We had a wonderful experience.
Lambchops with the oysters did not let me down
We forgot our servers name although she was amazing. It was our first time and we were celebrating my boyfriends 20th birthday. She was friendly and very professional. She checked up on us multiple times before and during our meal to get feedback from us from the dishes we ordered. She suggested 5 choices of the meals to share between my boyfriend and I.
Birthday! Great experience
The decor was pleasant and modern. The food was very average. We ordered the sea bass, kale salad and charred broccolini. None of the dishes were anything special. Overall we weren’t very impressed considering all the hype around this place.
We had a wonderful experience at Beauty & Essex. The decor was phenomenal and the vibe was amazing. Everyone attending was wearing their most fashionable outfits and all there to enjoy a great time with friends and/or family. The food was beautiful designed and especially delicious. The jewelry shop was very intriguing and a great entrance point to the restaurant. It felt like finding a hidden gem amongst the other precious heirlooms. I had a great time there and hope to visit again soon!
Good food and service. It's a great place to go out with the friends and share some plates to try different flavors. Great ambience too!
I'm a vegan. What they had advertised on the menu online (cashew ricotta) was not available. I ordered the vegan Bolognese. The dish came out within 5 minutes after ordering. This was weird because obviously fresh food takes longer to prepare than that. When I got it, all it was, was pre-cooked pasta that had been reheated, generic canned pasta sauce and herbs. NOTHING WAS FRESH. No veggies. No vegan beyond meat. No bread on the side. No vegan cheese. It was NOT worth the money you paid. You could literally make that exact same thing at home for $5 with ingredients from the store.
Because the dish came out so quick, we weren't drinking & did not want to risk dessert, our total dining experience for a party of 2 was 15 minutes. It was literally in and out. Portions were also very tiny and we had to go elsewhere to eat again. Service was good, but not worth the hype.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
This place was amazing! The food is an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Our server and all of the staff were phenomenal. You don’t wait for your food. They cater to you. We will be back!
Birthday- it sucked. Too much bad sh*t that happened no point to say anything but don’t go here for a special occasion. Or at all. Food sucks
Lovely spot! The hostess and our waiter Nicole were super accommodating! Wish I got her name!
Food was good & the vibe were right! DJ inside and the ambiance was beautiful!
Great birthday dinner. Everything was delicious! Our waitress had great recommendations. The Ferris wheel of desserts was fun for the large group to enjoy!
Disappointing to say the least. Sunday is brunch only. I specifically picked this place to celebrate my husband’s birthday (vegans and non-vegans) because they supposedly had all these menus available. They put all these different menus online including a full vegan menu and none of them are served on Sundays except for brunch. The website indicates Sunday Brunch from 11-4 but thought that was just an option if you wanted brunch. Well, it’s all they have that day. Service was also no-class. My friend ordered a Bloody Mart after I did and was told they ran out so she ended up getting a Mojito instead. Then another server said they still have it but never offered to comp her drink and give her a Bloody Mary for this miscommunication. A quality service who’ve done just that. I also saw another table being served fries and it wasn’t on their menu. Another server said she can order one for me but then our own server came out and said no more fries. 5 minutes later, they come out with fries to replace my friend’s side of potato order. So they could have obviously still made it. She’s just too lazy or the kitchen truly does operate like a fast food restaurant.
WORSE of it all, we ordered vegan chorizo tacos and they served them in Tostitos cup chips with none of the other ingredients. Just crappy, sloppy as if they sent someone to 7-11 to get Tostitos chips because like all else, they ran out of food to serve.
Felt like I was in some cheap restaurant and the servers have no clue how to demonstrate class A service. Seemed like they all came from working at fast food place or something.
It really isn’t worth all the hype. The food was decent, service was slooooow and to be quite honest……it felt like when a Kimpton takes over a Motel 6…..slaps some cool paint on the walls and purchases a few Scandinavian Design pieces…….but you can still tell it was a Motel 6. Everyone just seemed disheveled.
Great experience for our group of 6. I will definitely visit again.
Nice environment, the food was very good. The only not so good review was for the slow service.
Food was cold and our waiter took forever for everything
Unfortunately Beauty & Essex is no longer the place it was when it first opened. Not sure if it's under new management or what, but the food is no longer what it used to be, the service was absolutely horrendous - rude and impatient servers and hostesses. Servers do not wear face masks, are unapologetic about the fact that their bar was backed up. We received all our first round of drinks 45 mins AFTER all our food came out! LMAO. We just sat there sipping on tap water, waiting. Waiter had no updates for us. Drinks finally came, and we immediately ordered the next round, expecting they would take a long time, but they never ever came out! No apologies from the server, and when we brought it up, she snapped at us and told us it was out of her hands. Not sure what her job is if she can't even get our drinks to us. Bye Felicia, not coming back to this *s*show of a restaurant again.
It was two of our girlfriends’ birthday dinner celebration. The entire experience was amazing, actually the exception was valet.
But let’s not have that rob us from how much we enjoyed this restaurant’s ambiance, food, and staff.
Everything was delicious.
We had three apps, three large plates, and the tomahawk steak with three sides for us 5 gals to share.
Everyone enjoyed all the food!
I just realized I didn’t take any pictures of the half-roasted chicken and mexican-corn ravioli!
They’re were both DELISH! The chicken was nice and tender.
