Beautique Ratings and Reviews
I'm pretty sure I know why the restaurant is temporarily closed. The food and the service was really subpar. The saving grace was the ambience. We loved the music being played and we found out it was Hipster Cocktail party on Pandora. Other than that, the experience was just blah. the food was forgettable, the service ordinary and the dessert was just not worth it.
From the moment you walked in you were greeted and felt like family. We had dishes pictured below, all were delicious, flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and genuine. This is my third time and each time my experience is better and better, which is amazing because each time itself is wonderful. Beautique has become my new spot for special occasions.
I had high expectations for this place and was quite disappointed.
Right off the bat, we were "greeted" by a young lady who was under impression we were there for a birthday party. The moment she realized that wasn't the case, her attitude changed. Instead of just showing us in the right direction, she chose to ignore us. When we got downstairs we weren't even acknowledged until shamelessly asked if we could be seated.
As for food ... it wasn't great but good. Slightly overpriced, but hey it is Manhattan after all.
While our waiter was amazing, the busboy needed to be told to stay away from our plates and our table. He kept coming to our table trying to clean even though we weren't finished. I don't know if its because they were trying to get rid of us or he just couldn't resist getting yelled at.
Would I go back? Not likely.
We caught then on the Sunday of Labor Day and were one of only two tables so not much buzz but the management and staff couldn't be friendlier and it is a cozy space which some nights hosts a jazz band. The salmon and the scallop special were delicious. Wines by the glass are reasonable. Make it a point to try this place.
I was so disappointed in the overall experience. My voucher was for dinner for 2 for $70, yet you charged me $198. $88 for drinks that are $19 each! I know tax and tip are on the $175 price.
You judged people in your restaurant and your service matched that. You have no idea what is in someone's purse or what they bring to your restaurant, yet you shamelessly gave free drinks and continued personal service to the couple next to us. Perhaps only because they were carrying a Gucci bag?
Each of our courses were given to the wrong person and half of our desert was given to the next table. Instead of going to get a new one, it was just handed to us.
The soup wasn't available but this was not mentioned until we were ordereing.
When I inquired if there was another option, I was told, yes, the others on the menu.
I am not a tourist in New York, I live here.
I believe the issue was that we were so rushed. We only had 2 minutes to order so when I food came it wasn't as well prepared as we would have wanted. The waiters came up to me 10 times in 10 minutes to ask if we were done eating so the experience wasn't so great.
What a wonderful restaurant! This was the first time we tried this restaurant and the experience was outstanding. The food is VERY good - we ordered the salads with the pineapple dressing which was so delicious! I had the salmon and my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. Both were excellent! The ambiance is also very nice and it's a beautiful restaurant. The service was top-notch! We'll be back!
For the past two years, my sisters and I have gotten together for restaurant week; winter and summer. We like to try something new each time. Beautique didn't disappoint. Excellent food selection. Service was great and ambience was low key. Would dine here again.
Service was quite slow, and the restaurant wasn't at all packed. Long wait time between courses (after table had been cleared/before next course arrive) indicates poor expediting/attention to detail by wait staff.
First cocktail I got was awful. Also a long wait between ordering our second cocktails and receiving them.
Great food overall though and my Old Fashioned was awesome.
The ambience at this restaurant qualifies this place to be called Beautique, however, the service could have been a bit better. Disappointed in the service which caused us to get our food to go...but the waiter did apologize and offered us a dessert which was scrumptious. Will have to try again to see if I have the same experience. Other than that, my date night was beautiful at this place...very romantic...
My husband and I were surprised. Our last minute practical reservation (next to the Paris movie theater we went to after the dinner) turned into a pleasant and romantic experience. The manager was warm and wonderful, the staff was attentive and our dishes (salmon and branzino) were delicious.
I am a tiramisu snob. I make it myself. I was septical to order one. A perfection,... So delicious. REMEMBER, we were there at 6pm. Almost empty. They get busy and very lively (lounge in the back) after 8pm.
Not the place to go for a fine dining experience. Onion rings and pizza on the menu. This is a club for middle aged men to bring unexceptional young women. For onion rings and pizza. Patrons allowed to block the entrance while smoking. Host is unsophisticated and snide. Service is amateur. Martinis were terrible. Total clown show. We couldn't stop laughing and couldn't get out of there fast enough. Called for the check before ordering. Went to a real restaurant.
And the service was simply perfect, very attentive. All, from the welcome, the server of the water, our server, simply perfect; and they made it happen that we had the entire menu on time to get to the opera! We will certainly go there soon again! A hidden jewel!
I went to dinner with 3 girlfriends this past Monday night. We bought a Pulsd voucher and decided to try the restaurant. The host and servers couldn't be any nicer! Super friendly, attentative, and professional. The food was incredible - I highy recommend the kale salad, tuna tartar, mac n cheese pops, and Branzino. The only downside is that it's very quiet on Monday nights, I'd recommend going on the weekend. I'll definitely be back!
