The steak was better than most the big steakhouses.
There are still a few eating establishments left that celebrate the disciplines of cooking well. Foregoing the decor embellishments, the pseudo celebrity atmosphere, and focus on what's important - the plate in front of you. Through it's many year's as Beau Jack's and this current reiteration, Beau's has stuck to a proud and often never found principle - offer a great meal prepared perfectly. It does what is in it's DNA, deliver a great meal with superb service, plan and simple. Hat's off to a eatery that get's it!
Great spot for Mother’s Day! 5/5 stars. Would totally come back again and recommend to friends and family.
Beau's was such a beautiful place to eat Brunch! I went with my mom and sister on Sunday and it was amazing. It was buffet style so we were all able to eat what we wanted! I recommend!
Everything was delicious. The meal was well paced and we will go back for sure!
Good brunch. Service slow
Our server got our order wrong and service was very slow. When I pointed out what was wrong she made it sound like it was my fault not hers. Beaus is a fun place to go especially when you consider outside but the servers need some training in customer service
Good food (we ordered salads) and good service. Pricey, however.
The kitchen did not do what our server requested. Two of the salads were swimming in dressing. The hostess was great and did just what we asked
The Beau’s Salad was delicious! One of our friends didn’t have her burger cooked correctly though.
The quality of lettuce in my salad was poor. The menu states that the Beau salad is composed of Bibb lettuce. But my salad had more iceberg lettuce than Bibb which is a cheap substitute. That was disappointing!
Had the loaded Caesar salad with rotisserie turkey and the salad was VERY skimpy with the toppings. They said there was a new salad maker. I did t let our fabulous waiter Tony know and he did take the turkey off of my bill
Definitely disappointed in the salad
Quality of food is always superior. The service and ambience just add to the overall dining experience. One of my favorite establishments 😀
Our waitress was very good and attentive. My mom is gluten, shellfish, and tree nut free and they were able to accomodate.
Dinner was delish! Four diners, 2 burger people, 1 salad w/shrimp and last the salmon entrée, No rolls for the last two? Service was great!
Food was not as spectacular as I remembered from 2 years ago. No small plates? Disappointing. The food was just good, not great. Service was top notch. Steak was over seared on the outside and under cooked inside. Drinks were top notch. Long drive for us. Whatever has changed in two years, change it back. I used to rave about how good the food was here. Couldn’t wait to find a reason to drive an hour to come back. Bummer. Maybe it was just a bad night.
Hostess was a bit rude, we arrived a little earlier than our reservation and she asked us to be seated. The restaurant was pretty empty, and I asked why we had to wait. She made a comment that the servers were not yet ready. Seemed odd to me and she was brusk.
Food was good, but added grilled shrimp to my salad, and for $9.00 I expected more than 5 small shrimp. I expected at least larger shrimp for the price.
Service was good, not great, maybe there were not enough servers on this particular night, but had to wait for her to come back to get our credit cards to pay.
Lowest price wine by the glass was $11.
Worst restaurant experience in memory. The food was dreadful. Cold, raw, tough prime rib, mushy shrimp, bottled dressing, frozen, tasteless green beans, .... etc. Never go back again.
Your team, especially the wonderful lady who to care of us all evening was excellent on all fronts! We got assigned a spot which was too close to the kitchen ( busy traffic and odors from the cooking) and within seconds of my wish to get reseated she had the prime spot on with a window at the opposite site of the restaurant for us. The very elegant monitoring of our needs , in such a professional way made our event (first date!! :-) ) just even more enjoyable!
Wine and entrees to the high standard as always
Very good level of ambient noise - perhaps slightly on the higher side, but I do admit a 3 1/2 h talk wears on the voice ...
if I had a wish I would invest in additional noise dampening features .
We will be back within the upcoming week.
Best wishes and congratulations to Beau’s!
Very loud when crowded but good otherwise.
Went out on a Friday evening with another couple. Started off with a few cocktails off the menu that were quite tasty. They started going down so fast we switched to beer and wine afterwards. For starters we had the ribs and wings both of which were very good.
For entrees, the group ordered chicken, a wedge salad with salmon, the whitefish, and a French dip. All were cooked great and very good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Our only criticism was that it was very loud and tough to have a conversation without raising our voices.
Live music. Great food. Terrific team of servers. A bit on the noisy side, but that's ok.
Service has been good in the past, but was poor on this visit.
Britney our server was fantabulous and far exceeded my expectations!
Noise level abominable
Great place for meeting friends for lunch, drinks or dinner. Food is very good and service is also very good, attentive but not hovering.
Very accommodating to special requests. Busy, lively place.
Lovely meal, great service. I only wish there was a quieter corner in the restaurant, since it was quite noisy.
Excellent food and service. The steaks and fries are fantastic.
Loved this place! Had a business lunch here with six guests. Service was excellent. Extensive menu has lots of great choices, but I had the rotisserie turkey sandwich and it was outstanding. The rest of the group had burgers and salads and there was not a complaint but lots of smiles. The atmosphere is higher end and the bar has a cool library theme that is really on point. I will definitely be returning here when in town again.
This was a wonderful surprise, especially with the attention to so many great restaurants downtown. Will for sure be back.... the staff was wonderful, the food amazing!
My first time there since it has been Beau's. Great atmosphere; we sat in the bar area. Server took a little too long to take our orders. But, she was very pleasant. Food was good but pricey for the quality of it.
Great happy hour and dining experience, will return.
Pricy - $80 for three salads and a chicken club
Service was a little slow to start, but then was terrific. Love that they have both full size meals and small plates. My lamb was wonderful. My husband's filet was tasty but not was borderline cold? My Manhattan was very weak. The views of the river make it all worth it! The ice cream from new local shop, Pav's was delicious!
The food is great but the wine prices are rediculous
Small dinner salad portions. Disappointed in small size
My husband and I popped in to Beau's for dinner after an early movie at the Maple Theater. The ambiance was great - the only reason I gave it four stars rather than five is because we were seated at a high top smallish table near the kitchen and I was bumped several times by patrons and staff throughout the evening. Next time, I will request to not sit at one of those particular tables so that's an easy fix. The menu is extensive and offers options for any style of eating - great looking salads and appetizers, steaks, ribs, fish and burgers. Both my husband and I had a burger and they were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Both of us swapped out the chips/fries (can't recall what came with the burger) for side salads, which were lovely. The noise level was a bit high as it was a full house, but not any higher than other restaurants of this style. Both my husband and I are looking forward to going to Beau's again and trying more menu items.
Always a tasty meal at Beaus. The menu is interesting with some good choices. This time had tomato soup (very good), Beaus salad side (delicious) , cauliflower vindaloo side (spicy & yummy) & split a veggie burger. The veggie burger is really good. Made from beets . Looks & tastes like a beef burger. Nicely grilled. A companion had whitefish & sweet potato fries which she enjoyed.
Beaus is a good, neighborhood restaurant with a more modern twist. Consistently good.
Our waitress was great, but we made a reservation at 815....got there at 810, and they told us they were getting our table ready. At 820, they accidentally sat the wrong group of 3 at our table. When I went up to the hostess who’s name is “JC” to ask if they mistakenly seated the wrong group, her response was “yeah we did, but they’re reservation was also at 815 so it really doesn’t matter.” Oh really? It doesn’t matter? How about an apology instead? Nope. We didn’t get seated until 835. And after I asked the man who seated us for her name and told him what happened...we still didn’t get an apology from her, or from anyone.
Always great food. Always friendly servers and hosts.
