Worst experience I’ve had at a Beatrix. Server disappeared for long periods of time, and was extremely rude. After delivering drinks and appetizers, we did not see the server for over 30 minutes. There were less than 10 tables seated in the whole restaurant, so really not sure what the issue was. Will not be visiting this location again. Extremely disappointed.

Have never had a bad experience at a Beatrix till now. Asked for burger medium-well and it came out cold and dark red on inside. Waiter agreed and brought it back and came back charred and inedible. Waiter forgot drinks twice

Bustling and buzzy and very, very cool… but also friendly, welcoming, and accommodating of an unplanned change in schedule. Beatrix could very easily coast on its prime location and cool interior—but it doesn’t. Meals come out quickly, accurately, and (at least during my visit!) exceeded my already-high hopes. Recommended.

Very nice and food pretty good. Server was nice too. About average price for downtown and that cuisine and ambiance. Definitely would go again on a Friday early evening, no wait and quiet.

Been eating here since it opened. Returned for breakfast and out long time waitress was gone AND the menu changed for the worse. The always delicious French toast was garbage and not cooked internally— the lemon pan cakes also were raw inside. The bacon seems to have changed too! While our waitress was very nice no drinks were refilled- my ice tea went dry!! Not sure I’d return which is a pity because it WAS my favorite breakfast place. I was told the change of menu was executive chefs idea. Maybe they should ask their customers!!!

Finally decided to come back after a (not typical) very poor experience. Equally bad service. Only table for most of the time and one of three at the busiest and had to flag down our server each time they visited. Watched us take last sips, push cups to edge in hopes of not being awkward with no luck.

Our second visit. First was outstanding on all counts. We came back to explore more menu options and were glad to try the pistachio encrusted whitefish and the yummy shrimp w/quinoa special. Terrific. Server was over committed, otherwise he acquitted well enough.

Overall, we were very disappointed with our service. We had to flag down our server each time we needed attention. He was wonderful when he was at our table but was not attentive and the service was poor and slow. Additionally, the hostess was very rude; rude at check in and rude when running drinks. I’ve been to Beatrix dozens of times and multiple locations and have never experienced such a poor level of service. If this was my first experience here, I would never come back.

The oatmeal was horrendous. The first bowl was as thin as soup and watery. The second attempt was not much better. I choked it down and hoped the day would get better from there (it did).

Great spot for business lunches in the NW loop; i'm sure i'll be back. The 3% optional surcharge is nonsense. Either raise your prices or don't; but putting an "optional' charge on your bills is annoying to customers and potentially lowers the tip offered to server.

Ordered the Lemon Chicken and was slightly red raw, kind of made it uncomfortable to eat it. But the rest of the meal was great and our server was quick and attentive with his service. I would go back, I’m just not ordering the Lemon Chicken

Good ambiance, attentive service from the waitress and everyone else. They even found a piece of the chocolate cake for us when they weren't sure they had any more. Also, when the waitress says the salad portion is large and filling, believe her - the kale, apple, and asiago salad was delicious, but so filling I took half of it home to enjoy the next day.

We were referred by a local Chicagoan and we were delighted. Just a note, that side of town apparently shuts down early, last call at 8, but we had a wonderful time here. Also a great happy hour, had a lot of great buzz and neat cocktails.
