   First time I’ve been here so we were looking forward to it as have walked past during the day and it looked good. The front part of the venue feels very much like a cafe and the upper raised part a bit more cosy. As there was a quiz going on we opted for the lower part which wasn’t particularly comfy, no cushions on chairs and quite chilly. The upper part would have been better and actually wasn’t very noisy with the quiz on. You order at the bar and they couldn’t take cash. The food was quick and tasty but overpriced I think. There was no atmosphere, bright lighting, no music so felt very cold and a bit boring to be honest. The staff started tidying up around 8:45 so it felt very much like they wanted people to leave and close up. This is not great customer service as they don’t shut until 10pm. We couldn’t have stayed much past 9pm as it felt too quiet and uncomfortable. Shame!

   Restaurant was cold as were the plates . I had the flat bread which would have been much nicer had it been grilled. We sat with our empty plates for a long time and eventually left .

   The menu is insane for brunch. Always a friendly welcome and nice atmosphere. I'd highly recommend a visit!

   The food was good, the service friendly. It was relatively quiet whilst I was at the Bear but if it was busier I think it could get quite lively.

   Great menu, catering for many dietary needs with interesting options for food and drink. I loved my beetroot oat latte, the coffee was apparently very nice and our meals were all really tasty.

   Loved everything I ate, even had 2 puddings as couldn't decide! Good service and food was ready quickly. Vegan options are lovely.

   Really lovely warm welcome, the food is amazing and very well priced. We had cocktails which were excellent and very well made. We will definately be back
