Perfect. Everything came timely. Service was friendly yet not overbearing. The pretzel appetizer is only one small pretzel, so if you are hungry order something larger, other than that it was perfect. Will be back.
Wecame close to closing and the food and service was still exceptional!
Great beer in downtown Healdsburg overlooking a park. Love craft beer!
Food was good and service was great. Bathrooms were foul at 5pm. I’d hate to think what they looked like after the dinner crowd. Restaurant Manager should be horrified in how disgusting their “all gender” restroom was- floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. Toilet and sink were filthy. Large trash barrel was overflowing with paper towels. Really shouldn’t be in that condition at 5pm.
For a soft opening, the service was excellent. The food arrived quickly and tasted great.
The food took over 45 min, while other tables that came in after us got their food, do being busy isn't an excuse. Aside from that, I ordered my burger rare, it came out with a med-rare temp pick and the burger was actually well done. It honestly was the most disgusting burger I've ever had. I would have mentioned this, but no one came back to check on us. Along with that, you would think since the food took so long, a manager would have swung by the table. Nope. I eat out quite often, around the country and world when traveling, and this was the worst experience I've had in a long time. Don't go here. Trust me.
We came in closer to the end of the night and we were looking for a nice cold beer but instead we weren't greeted or sat at a table so we proceeded to sit ourselves at the bar. When I told the hostess I had a reservation she seemed bothered and told me just go to the bar and order from them she was busy what seemed to be flirting with a group of guys buying tshirts. When we sat the bar there was two bartenders working but only one talked to us while the other proceeded to do busy work and this wasn't until 5 minutes had gone by. Then we ask if we can order food and the she (bartender) replies well you only have 5 minutes until the kitchen closes. So my question is why take a reservation so close to closing? I understand everyone wants to go home after a long day at work but if you are committed to taking a reservation don't rush someone to get them in and out. So our party realized what was going on and we just ordered to go. The brewery was still very busy and while we waited proceeded to see everyone come up to the bar and complain about their day to the bartender and watch them drink as well. Place was dirty and unorganized and if they were in hurry to get out they were doing a very bad job of it by standing around and drinking. When we received the order we were just handed the bag and the order was never check to ensure quality or if it was correct by the person who took the order instead we are asked in a snarky voice if we needed to go silverware.
Bear Republic, it's a great brewpub in a great town, dogs allowed, great beer, nice service, nice food. It is a winner.
Had 7 pm reservation & was seated at that time. No one came to table for 20 minutes. When we sought out staff, waitress said she "was slammed." Restaurant wasn't that busy. Ordered water all around, 3 beers & entrees. At 7:35, still no water or drinks. When I asked waitress...attitude. Received drinks at 7:45. Food arrived 5 minutes later ...burgers, sandwiches and fries were all cold. Nachos OK. When finished & asked for the bill, waited another 10 minutes. Immediately gave credit card. "I'll be right back." 5 minutes later, finally received ticket. No service, cold food ... and all after having reservation through Open Table. Worst experience ever.
Went here for dinner on our first night in Healdsburg. I am not much of a beer drinker, but the selections we chose were good.
Our menu selections were good. We started with the cheese curds and for dinner, my wife had the build your own brat, and I had a burger. Everything was good.
Service was very good. The girl who waited on us was new, but she had a terrific attitude and the guy who was training her was also very nice.
They feature a wild game chili on their menu. I am hesitant to order chili in restaurants because usually it isn't very good. Their version is very good. They gave us a taste of it. I would order it if we stop by there again.
This is definitely a casual bar/restaurant. I have read some mixed reviews, but I would say give it a try yourself and form your own opinion.
The beer is great, the service was good, and the burgers and fries were pretty good. The Cubano sandwich was terrible. This is a brew-pub--go for the beer, not the food.
Highly recommend for great food and fantastic service. I'll definitly go back
Food was good. The beer was good, but not really anything special. Server was friendly and efficient. Not the cleanest looking place.
The food is ok....appetizers are best. Service can be good or slow. Beer is of course a must!
Always a treat when we are in the area. Cafe Racer 15 was OUTSTANDING as was the BBQ Pork Sandwich. Keep those double iPAs coming&
Very friendly and efficient staff. Quick service. Great beer choices. Wide-ranging menu so each of us could find something we liked.
Most excellent brews! You have to love all restaurants in Healdsburg. This one is awesome.
Can't go wrong with this brew pub/restaurant. Food is good, as were some of their specialty beers. Hard to locate, in alleyway right past Dry Creek Kitchen restaurant, the address is deceiving and not near North cross street as the directions indicate.
Tasty food, EXCELLENT beers, and friendly, efficient service.
Nice venue. Not great but not bad. Good selection of beer.
The food was good, especially the polenta dish with greens. Chef didn't use what was listed on the menu, but presented the dish with asparagus & mushroom (no brussel sprouts, no chard). Couldn't decide whether to have marinara or pesto sauce with the dish, but server offered to have it prepared with both. What a guy! It was perfect. Only drawback to outside dining is that the shades used to block out the sun need to have hooks on the bottom so they can be secured so as not to hit you in the face while you're eating! Nice meal, very good service!
Thought we would give it a try again because we had children in our group and wanted some place low key. Unfortunately the food was unremarkable. Not good--- not bad, the service was great though. We got orders for a large party pretty quickly and they were helpful when we had an inevitable spill as well as bringing the cake out. We will definitely be back in hopes of finding something on the menu that works. Not the Caesar salad or chicken sandwich...some in our party really liked the fish and chips though.....
The food was great, forgot to note I was an Open Table customer as they did not check me in properly. otherwise nice meal. Good service from Peter!
The barrel aged beers were really special as were the house made veggie burgers.
Excellent choice for lunch. Extensive menu, very comfortable patio.
Wednesday was fish taco night! Three tacos, light breading, classic toppings, very good! Also got a side of poutine to start- smashed potatoes (fries are an option I think) with cheese curds (more crumbles than curds sadly) and a yummy gravy. Tasty Sonoma hard cider and the house IPA was also good! Lots of sports were on that night as well as trivia, place was busy but service didn't suffer. Great, laid back and reasonably priced dinner for the area.
Everything was delicious! Service was good. Quiet patio so late which was nice.
We had a party of four. I had the "Brewben," which could easily have been the best Reuben sandwich I ever had. We also had to try the Poutine, which was an upgraded version of the Canadian national dish. Not sure I would get this again, I think the upgrades are too much of a aberration from the original.
My husband and I spent the weekend in healdsburg and discovered this place around the corner. The Kobe beef burger was extremely juicy. The fries are so good you might want to order more. Chicken club sandwich was fantastic. We loved this place so much we came back the next day for lunch. Service was great too. Everyone is super friendly!
We have eaten here 2 or 3 times. It has many beet and food options. The food is good, not great, but the atmosphere and ambiance make up for it.
Service was also quite bad - it appeared to be understaffed. Perhaps we came on the wrong night? Our server was super friendly and apologetic, my food was not very good at all. I left hungry and left most of my food - at least the fries were good!
We decided to eat here because of the beer and didn't have high expectations about the food. We were very pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the burgers. I had the crab louis which was also really good. The beer was good, of course, and I was the designated driver so enjoyed their draft rootbeer. The location near the square is terrific, and I imagine it can get pretty jammed on a weekend. Our only criticism is that our party arrived between shifts so we had periods when no one was paying attention to us. The two servers we had were each very good however.
BRBC is a great spot for dinner or lunch, or for just a beer and a snack. The beers are good, if you're a beer drinker. And, to my surprise, the garlic fries were some of the best I've ever had--not overly garlicky the way most places make them, these were garlicky enough with a healthy dose of parmesan and savory seasonings. In the afternoon and early evening, the place is very kid-friendly, and the outdoor patio makes for a very pleasant dining experience.
Great beer with good food pairing
We started off with excellent beer and asked to start with a pretzel, the server kept asking if we were ready to order dinner and then never brought our pretzel and then disappeared once we ordered our food, leaving us with empty beer glasses. Anyway, the food was decent, the beer was delicious, but the servers clearly are just trying to move people through...the place was empty though...
The only real highlights of this place are the beers and the patio dining, which is really pleasant. The food has gone downhill in quality.
Food was mediocre to bad. Very unimpressed. The beer is the star and is excellent. However, I would absolutely not go to eat again.
We dined on the open air patio, which was enjoyable, as it faced a sidewalk shopping area away from the street. We tried three of the Brewing Company's individual beers, and even the one described as low hops to my taste was very hoppy. We had a lager and a nut brown ale, and NO IPA - wonder how hoppy that would have been? Food was above average for a Brewing Company. The restaurant itself was very open, different levels with good separation of dining areas. Service was prompt and competent considering the patio crowd - not many folks inside on this beautiful day.
A great hamburger and wonderful service!!
We booked last minute Mother's Day Brunch reservations for a group of 10. The Brunch menu was nice and the food was very good. The service, especially given the busy Mother's Day holiday was excellent. We so appreciated the attentive, pleasant service.
