   We visited on Saturday evening. A family meal and they had A live singer on. He was brilliant. We love Bear. We will definitely be back

   I have been going to Bear for a number of years now , and can genuinely say that the service and food is excellent. My latest visit was on Easter Sunday this year and I noticed also that the seating arrangements had been updated and replaced with new styled seating for eating and lounging whilst you may drop in for that well deserved coffee break . It is well located and well kept and managed by helpful staff , who go the extra lengths to please the customer . Go try it and see yourself especially if you’re lucky to get a window seat view of the River . Highly recommended! DP (Wilmslow )

   Our first time at Bear, Northwich, we went for a meal on Saturday evening before going to a gig. Service was great and the situation with the view over the river was lovely. I really enjoyed the flatbread with halloumi and loads of salady toppings. My partner fancied a burger and was happy with it but thought he might have the small plates next time. We really enjoyed the live music. We'll definitely be back.

   Disappointing visit, we booked for 4 people, had 2 people on their system. Shoe horned us into a table next to a very large group which meant one of us kept getting budged into by large party. Got my coffee order wrong, showed me my receipt and said I hadn’t ordered the right thing to prove they were right. One ticket was lost and so 3 out of 4 meals arrived and our friend had to wait another 30 mins. The chefs kept ringing the bell for staff to take food out to the pass which was left to get cold ( we could see the pass). Lack of management from the shift leader and only one apology with promise of free drink which never materialised as we had just paid for another round of drinks. They stated they were busy but not short staffed so just disorganisation throughout. As someone who has been multiple times I feel this was the worst visit. Cafe was about at 60% capacity.

   Terrible service, we paid for our ordered & waited over an hour, when we asked if our food was coming staff said it hadn’t been processed as we had moved tables ( even though we had asked the staff if we could due to noise levels and my mother in law being partially deaf)we asked for a refund & the manager was very rude and accused me of pointing at her staff when I complained, the reasoning they gave was because they had a table of 18 people to serve and mistakes happen. No apologies given. Such a shame as my family had gone for a celebration breakfast, instead we left hungry and disappointed, I couldn’t believe the bad attitude from the manager on duty, no customer service at all. Wouldn’t recommend.

   We booked for brunch as a special outing after some recent events. When we walked in we weren’t sure where we had to go as we’ve never been. We were told to take a seat and someone would be over. We sat for half an hour before we went up and ordered at the counter. It was fairly busy for a Monday, we were fine getting up to order but we were confused why we were told someone would be over. The food was absolutely incredible though, there was one chef in the kitchen and we went over and gave our compliments personally. The drinks were also gorgeous and everyone was so polite. Like I said just maybe a bit more clarity for new visitors of how service works would be a little appreciated but, we know it was busy and everything else was amazing.

    Had a lovely time at bear northwich. Service was amazing, the food was fantastic and didn’t have to wait long either. It was brilliant
