Our coffee bar lies in the market town of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire.
A whopping 80 per cent of our menu is vegan, so veg- centric visitors have plenty of choice while those with broader eating habits still get to incorporate eggs and chorizo into their weekend.

If you’re not doing dairy, you’ll find a selection of alt milks to pair with our house coffee by Hard Lines, Cardiff. Or simply go black, courtesy of a monthly-changing pour-over. Speciality drinks include turmeric, matcha and beetroot lattes, while freshly blitzed smoothies further fortify the liquid offering. Grab a spot on the long communal table or settle down in one of the Scandi-style armchairs and drink in the good vibes.

If you're visiting us there are plenty of places to park up.The most convenient is Morrison's directly opposite Bean & Bread with a 2 hour limit on your stay. Further to this there's King Street and Fairfield Carpark which are both less than a 5 minute stroll from us. If you're arriving by bike we have a bike rack outside.

The feel of this place is calm, cool, beautiful and homely. We went for brunch on a Saturday. Service was excellent and we felt welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Not an extensive menu but it all looked delicious. Taste was amazing although we felt the portions could have been a bit bigger for the price. Selection of vegan cakes was brilliant and tasted incredible. We've tried a LOT of began cake and I would say that these were by far the best we've had. We will definitely be back when we next visit Abergavenny as there were so many positives about this place.

Food was AMAZING. So full of flavour and creative. Coffee was among the best I’ve ever had and the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful food. Great to be fully open again. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Lovely coffee. Excellent menu choices and range of treats.

What a gem of a place. This cosy/quirky café was just down my street, even though it is majority veggie/vegan, as a meat eater I was still torn between what to go for. I was tempted to order 2 things, but thought it might look a bit greedy 😂 So instead I will be returning very very soon. We were greeted on arrival, shown to our table and given an explanation of how everything works. All staff were super friendly, helpful and polite. The coffee was lovely too. All in all I couldn’t give any higher praise. Loved it.

Need to book although no specific tables are assigned so you can end up on a table of 4 when you are a two. We were waved to the sofa which isn't conducive if eating lunch. However, there was another table freed up soon after we arrived. Music sometimes a bit loud causing us to raise our voices to be heard. I came with a friend 2 weeks earlier and we had to ask for the volume to be turned down twice. Please be careful about this during the pandemic Bean and Bread. However, this is my favourite breakfast and lunch spot in Abergavenny. The menu is limited but the food is interesting and quality superb!

A fantastic coffee shop/eatery. We love the decor, ambience and atmosphere. Our black lab Molly is always welcomed with a treat Coffee and food is pretty good too
