Excellent! This is my 3rd time here and I’ve had more than exceptional service. Awesome
The service was awesome! Desi was excellent. The food was ok, could be better.
This was my first visit, so I do not have any experience to compare to. But, if you accept reservations for 930pm dinner then you should be prepared to serve, not rush from course to course and bring the check without asking, and clearly before we were done.
Love the way he cooked the steak ! Thank you Chef Edgar ! The service and food was excellent!
Very pleasant for Valentine's Day. Quiet venue; the steak was great and the champagne flowed throughout dinner. The price was very reasonable considering what other restaurants were charging. We haven't been to brunch in many years, but we will go back again based on our
Valentine's Day experience.
Went for Valentine's day with my wife and we had a great time. Our service was stellar, the food was delicious, and it was a nice low-key vibe. Will go again.
Good Valentine’s Day specials.
Great service, but food was EXTREMELY subpar
Great experience! They do not disappoint with the bottomless mimosas. The food was good also!
Best brunch in DC!! Would not go anywhere else!!
Everything was average across the board. Nothing spectacular stood out. Thanks.
We tried the pasta which was the special of the day and the salmon. Food was delicious! Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Overall a good experience!
Upon arrival, it was chaotic with the lobby jammed with people. The options were limited for a vegetarian. The kale salad had strawberries. For vegans, the options are mostly limited to fresh fruit and hard over cooked potatoes. Our waiter was outstanding and attentive. Valet parking of $15 is quite pricey.
We were a group of friends that normally get together for brunch on Sundays. Due to the rain and changing schedules our number of guest decreased, however I updated the restaurant as soon as I knew the confirmed number of guest. When I was greeted by the manager/host and gave him my name, he very rudely said "oh the party the went from 10 to 6?" I found that very unnecessary and unprofessional. He told me to wait in the back until my entire party arrived. He was very rude and nasty to the servers that would come up to ask a question and his attitude also was not appreciated by a couple of other guest. Once we made it past the "guard dog" we were seated and immediatly greeted. From this point on our experience picked up and i would recommend this restaurant for the food and price only. Host are the first impression of the restaurant and having someone so negative and rude is NOT a good look.
I love coming to the Beacon for brunch. I love the omelets and waffles. I feel like they have a good selection of food for the price with unlimited mimosas included.
Great food quality!
I went to Beacon Bar & Grill for dinner during Restaurant Week and highly recommend the restaurant! The dining-room ambiance and service was great, and the food was good as well!
This was the second time we have celebrated my father's birthday at this restaurant. The experience was great and the birthday dessert was beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Restaurant Week DC. Great value w/wine flight. Lamb Lollipops 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Frequently dine at the Beacon Bar and grill and always enjoy the lunch specials and the attention. Brunch which we have been to many times is great!!!
The best deal I have ever encountered for Restaurant Week Lunch. Will definitely be going back!
Richard is a great waiter. The support staff are also very accommodating.
From the very beginning things were a bit rocky (we had a reservation). When we were finally seated, we sat ungreeted for at least 5 minuets. One of the bust boys came and gave us water but we had no server. I had finished a complete glass of water before the young lady finally came. She did not introduce herself she just went right into asking what we wanting to drink. We both wanted mimosas and I had to literally stop her from walking away from our table because after siting for 5 minutes we knew what we wanted (it’s a prefix 3 course menu that’s one page). Once we placed our orders we continued to wait quite a bit from our 1st course but once the food came the service got better. Our mimosas were filled very frequently and the check was processed in a timely manner. Note to our server: introduce yourself and make eye contact with your guests. This small notion will help a lot in the overall experience of your customers.
Dinner with colleagues. Our server was excellent. I wish I recalled his name. We were 6 on a business dinner. The food was mediocre across all of us. Bland pasta dish for half of us. The rest enjoyed our meal better. But still not extraordinary. The ambience is something out of a70s film set. Some of us loved it, others not so much.
Food just ok, ambiance not good wasn’t what I expected
Very nice restaurant in a residential area. Great for a week night or weekend.
We went on a cold Sunday evening and while the place was not very crowded, the food was excellent. After a while the crowd picked up and we enjoyed the selection of specialty drinks and appetizers along with the ambience. The wings, salmon and steak were outstanding and even though the servers were busy, they constantly checked to be sure our group was doing well. It is located in a residential neighborhood but not that far from the downtown DC area and I will definitely make another trip there on my next business trip to DC.
Good service, excellent food and nice atmosphere!!!
Always a great experience at BBG!!!
