Let the Beach Pea’s team of talented chefs prepare a delicious meal for you. With diverse specialties, ranging from French cuisine to traditional Italian pasta, the combined experience of this kitchen produces delicious, elegant dishes with a focus on fresh Nova Scotia seafood.

We accept reservations for dinner service, but if our dining room and patio are full, you are welcome to have a refreshing drink at the breezy bar while you wait to be seated.

Please note that we hold reservations for a maximum of 15 minutes
We are happy to accommodate parties of 1-8 guests in our intimate space.

Food was very good! The time between the courses was too short! In less then 45 minutes they served three courses. It felt like they had to hurry up. That was a pity.

First visit to Lunenburg and saved the best for last. It did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, the overall ambiance to our liking (lively, mostly couples, not too quiet but also not too noisy with big groups), wine choices were excellent as well. We had the octopus appetizer, which was amazing, and the arancini appetizer, also delicious. For our mains my husband had the risotto, which was fresh, delicate and rich, and I had the pasta sepia (cuttlefish pasta with seafood) which was also excellent and both were very fair sized portions, they don’t skimp. My only observation, and it was minor, was that the hostess service seemed a bit confused (forgetting to offer menus when seating the table next to us, and brought us the dessert menu when we hadn’t had our mains yet) and upon arrival the restaurant filled up with too much smoke from the kitchen, but both of these minor items were quickly addressed. I would return without question and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lunenburg, definitely the best restaurant in town.

Great ambience and excellent service. Was disappointed in the pasta dishes. Both the shrimp pasta and the carbonara had nice sauces but were served with big clumps of pasta that couldn’t be separated. Very unappetizing. Otherwise excellent

Our diner was outstanding. We shared a tuna tartare that was fresh, finely chopped and well balanced (ie not over spiced). I had the grilled scalops and I would qualify it has one of the best dishes I have ever had (and I have travelled across the world. It’s up there with my pasta a la vongole in Taormina Sicily. My wife enjoyed her pasta a la norma. Staff were very helpfull and friendly.

The food was delicious. Server could not have been more attentive and friendly. This lively restaurant is definitely one you do not want to miss on a visit to Lunenburg.

Another wonderful meal - and the morels were excellent - on the side, in the risotto, or with the scallops - a spring treat not to be missed.
