Beach House Restaurant- Kauai
Our philosophy at the Beach House is simple - take some good old-fashioned Hawaiian hospitality, blend it with a Pacific Rim food experience and add an outstanding view to deliver an experience that delights all the senses. Our talented kitchen team makes the most of local ingredients by sourcing our fish directly from Island fisherman and our beef and coffee from neighboring ranches. We incorporate local fruits and vegetables whenever possible, and delight in being able to find new and innovative ways to use the resources that surround us on the Garden Isle. Our breads, buns, and desserts are all made from scratch in house and we proudly feature the works of renowned local artists throughout the restaurant.
Happy Hour - 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Dinner - 4:45 pm to 10:00 pm
We had an awesome experience at the beach house. Everything was delicious and Karen took great care of us at the bar!
Awesome views of the sunset. Wait staff very friendly and attentive.
Food was disappointing in quality. Found it very pedestrian for the location, ambiance and pricing.
There was nothing about the meal itself that wow’d me. The view is always killer here. Stick to the appetizers and you’ll do just fine. Sorbets are good - pies are meh.
Our family has been to The Beach House many times. We found the menu much heavier on fish entrees than in the past. The desserts were very disappointing. 3 different cream pies and sorbet. We love the view and surroundings and the service was great but I could not recommend for the food.
Ambiance was great; however, the food was average.
Lunch was delicious, service wonderful and the view outstanding thanks!
Wonderful views combined with fabulous food and great cocktails. Parking required a bit of a walk. Service is hit and miss.
Celebrated our 40 th wedding anniversary here. Along with our guests, every serving for each individual was amazing. Exceeded our expectations again.
The chocolate pie was amazing. Of course the steak is always good. Grilled fish is great too. Since we go there so often it would be nice to see some more variety. Shake up the sauces and especially the vegetarian and non fish items need some variety. It is oh so tasty just want to come every day so need a few more menu options.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and our last evening of vacation on Kauai. It was lovely but the noise was a bit irritating.
We love the Beach House- the food is consistently great, and her views at sunset outstanding. The noise level can be a bit high, but all in all still a favorite on the south shore.
The Beach House is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in the world. You can't beat the location for a sunset dinner, whatever the occasion. Service is always tremendous. The menu is always interesting with local flavors abounding. A don't miss opportunity whenever you visit the "Garden Isle", Kauai.
Excellent food and service. Went there for 20 year wedding anniversary after having had dinner there on wedding night 20 years ago. Still a great place!
Delicious and professional. Superb all around from the food to the staff. The structure as well as the view is extraordinary and gorgeous. We love the wasabi fish fresh catch. The pie for dessert is incredible too!
Location is awesome. Food very mediocre. Chicken wings and dinner ready over salted. Wasabi mac crust fish dry. Seared ahi over salted. Steak and lobster good.
What a beautiful experience! Went to dinner with my husband and parents for my birthday and I’m so glad we chose the Beach House. Showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation and was told by the lovely hostess’s that we could grab a drink at the bar and go outside to watch the sunset while we waited for our table, which is exactly what we did. Koa and Adam at the bar were super fun and made AMAZING drinks for us. The view is incredible, it was so magical standing on the grass watching the birds fly into the trees above, while the sun set. Edwin was our server and he was perfect, very informative about the menu and made us feel at home. Two sweet girls brought us our drinks throughout the night and the busser was on it. The food was the topping of it all. So delicious and perfect portion size. Prepare to spend some money because you gotta try it all. For my birthday, Edwin brought me a complimentary ice cream sundae with a candle in it AND a birthday card signed by all the staff! So cute, it made my night. All in all, the views are spectacular, the service from the moment you walk in is incredible and the food and drinks are to die for.
Good ambience but not as quaint as when we were there before the hurricane but that is understandable. Service was great, food was good but pricey as well as the drinks. Be prepared to spend over $100+ per person if you drink a little but the setting makes the Beach House special.
Food was fabulous & the view was breathtaking!
I was helped by the most beautiful wonderful amazing blonde haired blue eyed angel if you’re reading this please thumbs up this review I love you
Anniversary. Beautiful sunset with vista of surfers and onlookers
Delicious, fresh local ingredients, expertly prepared. Prime sunset location.
We enjoyed having a drink with Clarke and Adam at the bar while we waited for our table. Seated at a beautiful table, food and service was excellent. Warren was beyond incredible! Don’t miss the beach house.
Waiter last night was not up to normal good service. Usually they treat us very well. We come most nights but he was tired or forgetful. He got a good tip just because we come a lot.
Everything tastes great. Fish chicken pasta
Pie crust needs some help (hard not flaky) but pies themselves are delicious
I had high hopes for this restaurant based on reviews, and it is in an incredible location. I made reservations for our family for my husband and my 20th wedding anniversary. I requested a table with a view of the sunset and I even called a couple days before to confirm. I was told they couldn’t guarantee a sunset view and the only thing they could do special for an anniversary was complimentary ice cream. The table we were sat at had a wall blocking the sunset. Prices were high for mediocre food. Kid meals were pricey and small. It was a special night but disappointing restaurant.
One of our favorite places on Kauai. Always good for a few visits. Just as good for drinks and tapas as for great meal.
Amazing food! Friendly and skilled servers. Terrific bartenders. Gorgeous views, delicious food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere!
Great location and food. Everything was excellent save for the fact we were rushed big time. Literally seconds after seated we were asked for our drink order. Food order was requested shortly thereafter. Food came fast - even before our appetizer order was delivered. I liked the place but being and feeling rushed at a place where our family of five spent $500 was very poor.
Can’t say enough about the beach house! We read reviews about feeling rushed so we worried about that but we weren’t in the slightest, even on a busy night. We were seated promptly by a very nice hostess who stayed and chatted with us for a moment answering our questions and giving great recommendations for the rest of our stay. Our table was beautiful and our server let us take our time. He even stepped out on the lawn to take our photo for us! Food and service was fantastic, we’ll be back!
By far the best restaurant we went to on our week long trip to Kauai. The fish was the best I've ever had and the view is utterly stunning. If you don't go here at sunset you are missing a treat. Its on the more expensive side, but worth every penny!
Always a great experience! The service is wonderful, food is great and the price is high, but always worth it.
As I'm sure you've no doubt heard before, this place is great. The location for sunset is fantastic, the service is great, and the food we ate was exceptional. It seems like everyone visiting the island checks this restaurant out and I'd definitely recommend it. We even had our 14 month old son with us and they were more than accommodating.
Best meal on Kauai so far. Great service and knowledge of meals. I really liked that it wasn’t just one fish prepared 6 different ways. Each style was a different kind on fish. Plus the sorbet was awesome.
Food was alright nothing to brag about. Felt very rushed. Reservation was for 6:30 we were out the door by 7:20. One round of drinks, salad, entree and a complimentary dessert because it was our anniversary dinner. It appeared as if they wanted to turn the tables over as quickly as possible as it was very crowded. Very over rated.
Our waitress was able to guide through the selections very well, and describe each in better detail. And this made for a better personal dining experience.
The food was outstanding, but the kitchen service was extremely slow, as we waited a lengthy time for our salads, and then after the salads were finished it took another 45 minutes to receive our entrees. Then we took a chance on the desert menu, and this took a while as well. In all, we were seated at 7:05p.m. and we finally were walking out around 9:30-9:45p.m.
My only issue was where we were seated. Had made reservation 1-1 1/2 months ago and when arrived at 6:45 was shown to table on side patio, not looking at prime view and between 2 LARGE parties - 12 to 14 people (we were 2). Asked for other table & was told only thing available without 20 min + wait was in a dark corner with virtually non-existent view. Took the original table and food and waitress were fabulous! But I was sort of upset!
Had dinner at the Beach House. Expectations were high and they were largely met. Excellent service. Ahi was very very good. Most spectacular aspect of the meal was actually dessert. The coconut cream pie was the best I've ever had.
They refused to recognize our open table requests. Our server was both pleasant and helpful.
