Nothing quite captures the spirit of a Cornish summer than following a summertime dip in its azure waters with a plate of lusciously fresh local seafood. Happily, that's just the experience to be found here at Beach House Falmouth, which is just yards from the shore of Swanpool beach near Falmouth.

Visit to experience local, sustainable seafood such as Falmouth Bay scallops, Falmouth Bay lobster or crab, whole fish from Newlyn Fish Market or a Shellfish Platter to share, all designed to satiate the appetite of any sandy‑toed gourmet. We are open from 9am every day, serving food all day.

We used to love the previous restaurant Hooked and we were slightly nervous we may not like the new restaurant as much but we should not have worried. We were greeted warmly, had a gorgeous aperitif outside in the sunshine, we were served beautifully and every single one of our choices was absolutely delicious and to cap it all the sun shone. I would highly recommend The Beach House to friends and family.

What an excellent place to eat and drink. Great view of the bay with blanket if needed and a heater. We ate early evening so the sea view is spectacular even if a bit overcast. The food was sensational but the service even better. Could not recomend highly enough.

We used to love coming here when it was ‘hooked on the rocks’, so much so we based our holidays around it. Unfortunately we won’t be doing so again. Food is expensive whilst not being the best or worth the price. Mussels and prawns were gritty like they’d not been cleaned properly. Focaccia bread is extremely salty. Scallops were really nice. Best part was the rum cooler cocktail, absolutely lovely! Staff were lovely and friendly. We’d probably nip back for drinks, but for us the food just isn’t as good or worth the price anymore.

We dined here last weekend as a three person family. We got there slightly early (10 minutes) and were advised we could wait at the bar and have a drink and review menus. It took about 15 minutes for somebody to even give us a menu after asking for a second time and a further five minutes to get a drink. Whilst it’s a comfortable and nicely decorated place, the level of the funky music that was playing during the whole dinner completely destroyed the ambience. It was impossible to hear each other speak even across the table, and seemed totally out of character with the kind of food and prices that people are paying. I think it needs to decide whether it’s trying to be a funky bar or more relaxed upmarket restaurant, as it doesn’t feel like the two mix well.

I made my reservationfrom the US by email one month ahead of time. Response and communication was timely and professional. Rebecca kept in touch continuously. Impressive. When we arrived everyone we interacted with, beginning to end acknowledged us with eye contact, and a smile. Focaccia, prawns, scallops, lobster, and lemon posset were perfectly prepared. The big surprise and the highlight of our experience was our server. It was Rebecca! Her complete attention to detail and efficiency was only surpassed by her personality. Best evening of our UK trip. Thank you, Rebecca!

Very good meal but pricey and bearing mind the price we felt the amount of vegetables was on the small side. Thought the whole fish options should include sides and not having to order on top. Overall a great meal in a lovely location.
