B.B. King's Blues Club Ratings and Reviews
Decided to come here while visiting Nashville and wanted to see live music that wasn't country. I read that this restaurant plays live jazz and thought it looked fun for my family to go to. The band was amazing and we had so much fun listening to the music while eating. The food was pretty standard but we were all satisfied. Definitely recommended for a fun, vibrant dinner or night out!
After being seated no one approached us for over 20 minutes. We were starving after a 7am flight and it was 4 pm first meal - asked bartender for a beer. Finished first beer still no waitress. - not busy at the time either. Asked bartender if he knew who our server might be and he did not but, but cane right o we and served us the rest of the evening. Good was excellent and sorry the wait ! Bartender Adam, thank you!
I had a Amazing time ....this is the go to spot for Nashville for an
Out of towner.....the music flowed....the food melted in your mouth ....staff was so attentive that every request was met! I just wish they extended the hours for valet parking beyond 10pm.....don't stay in your hotel ...get up and dressed in your finest to have a finest time....
Absolutely enjoyed BB King's! The live music was fantastic! It was full but not crowded like bars in the Nashville area. I was expecting the food to be an after thought (people come for the music, not the food) but it was actually quite good. Highly Recommend!
Honestly, we didn't eat there. When we arrived for our reservation, we were told that there was a $15.00 cover charge per person for the 4 of us, before we can even sit down. Why wasn't I told this when I made the reservation??? We turned around and left....
Very disappointed with BBs. First of all, they tried to charge us a cover of $10 each which was not in any of the information on line. The reservation system was down and they basically told us there was not any room. We went in to look around and saw numerous tables vacant with only a few people waiting. My wife spoke to Lindsey and explained how fantastic our day had been; drove to Nashville in an RV and saw the eclipse, went to Tootsies and heard our favorite band of the day and came here for dinner only to be told there is no table for us. Well, thanks to Lindsey, she did seat us and waived the cover charge. Tray was our server and he was great. The food was good but the band was fair. I fully expected a blues type of band (BB King Blues Club after all) and all they played was rock type of music. . .disappointing. Overall, not a good experience for what I expected.
We had a wonderful dinner (catfish and gumbo) and we're seated quickly with a great table at the front/side of the stage. This was thanks to great attitude and hustle from the hostess as our Open Table reservation meant nothing, the system wad offline. Dominique was our server and was wonderful. We were there in the evening the same day as the eclipse. The place was oacked. Longer than normal wait for food and great music and drinks to soften the wait. We were surprised by the $5/head cover charge even for people staying for dinner.
I wish I could say more, but we didn't make it past the hostess. We made a reservation, which is utterly pointless at this establishment. We had 13 people, 7 of which were kids, and reserved a table over one week ago for 6:30 on a Monday. When we walked in we were treated like an inconvenience and told that we'd have to wait 45 minutes for the table, just like the 11 top before us who was still waiting. The hostess could not have cared less, did not apologize, and told us they were busy (which they weren't) while shaking her head and finger at me with a vile attitude. How dare we be upset that we have to wait 45 minutes? How dare we question her? After demanding to see her boss we were told they could accommodate us in about 10 minutes. At that point we were so disgusted with how we had been treated we walked a few doors down to a Brazilian steakhouse that had great food and even better service. Here's a few tips, don't take reservations if you can't keep them, don't hire people for the front of house who have a terrible attitude and treat customers like crap, and, most importantly, don't EVER go to BB King's in Nashville!
I guess this is one of those places where the music comes first. I kind of expected that - but the service was very slow for what we ordered. At our reservation time we were told that there were no tables available - but there were a bunch of empty ones in one area - when I asked if we could sit there we were told that section was closed and there was no service there - 45 mins later guess where we were seated....after we were seated it took another hour to be served our dinner. The music was good so it wasn't that bad waiting. But will try a different musical restaurant next time in town.
