Established in 1991, this is the original B.B. King’s Blues Club located in Memphis, Tennessee, the home of American blues music, legendary musicians, famous barbecue, historic landmarks and great basketball.     Service was great, ribs were delicious, We had Entertainment which was nice but very loud. It was hard to hear the person sitting next to us and the waitress when speaking.

    We went at opening on a weekday, so this review does not purport to rate BB King's when Beale Street is busy. Our server was wonderful, the place was essentially empty, and the food was pretty good but nothing special. It would be interesting to return at peak hours and when music is being played to evaluate it more realistically.

    Must "go to" blues and BBQ joint. Live blues music while enjoying our BBQ chicken and ribs. Lots of history and an amazing vibe. Highly recommend!!!

    Note that Reservations are subject to an admission charge for Live Shows, so even for a lunch reservation you have to add 10$ per person. Still The tip jar comes around frequently and so does the cd selling guy. Even though the music was great, be prepared for an expensive lunch.

    Great place. Decent food. Friendly staff. Great band playing. As per all places along Beale St, seems pricy for what you actually get. Tip: Don’t try to book as you can’t really. You think the booking system says no spaces for the evening, but I don’t think they actually allow bookings for evening. Just rock up. NOTE: after a certain time they lock down the street. Security ID everyone and then after $9pm it’s $5 to enter the street.

    Had been years ago and enjoyed the best ribs I'd ever had. Was excited to go back and have them again. The ribs were tender, fall off the bone. Perfectly cook. Problem was, they were cold. Don't know if it was the sauce or if they had been sitting. But cold. My daughter loved the chicken tenders. Said they were delicious. Music was good, though thought the band asking people to put $10 in their tip jar was a little odd, considering there was a $10 a person cover. Even if you had a reservation for dinner.

    Truly do not miss on a trip to Memphis. I suggest to book in advance at night. I didn’t but was able to squeeze in at lunch before my flight.

    This restaurant surpassed our expectations. We were only visiting the Beale St area for one day and were hoping to find some decent music before the sun went down. BB Kings delivered. The music was phenomenal!!!! And to top it off the bbq and gumbo were so good. We had a fantastic experience. One of the highlights of our trip to Memphis. ❤️

    Our waitress Ashley was fantastic. She was attentive and energetic. The ribs were top notch. The rest of our meals were good, there for the entertainment which was fun. Would highly recommend if visiting Memphis and Beale Street.

    Awesome time for Father’s Day lunch. Real Delta blues, fried catfish, chicken fried steak and the best creamy coleslaw I’ve had in a while! That establishments like this are alive and well on Beale after Covid is heartening. We visited during Covid and Beale was a ghost town. Congrats to BB’s for bringing it all back! On a Sunday afternoon, the AC was cool, the music sublime, the food so tasty and we had a fine time overall. Welcome back!

    They were short on servers when we were there and no one ever offered to bring us food. We did have a couple of cocktails, which were good. Obviously, you go for the music, which was consistently enjoyable. We went back a second night!

    Came for a meal, drinks and some music. Food was good but found some shrimp in with our catfish starter - luckily we spotted them before eating as I’m allergic to them. Enjoyed the cocktails and the atmosphere from the live music.

    Excellent food and wonderful entertainment. Get there before noon on Saturday and get the best seat in the house and while you eat you can watch the band set up and then enjoy a few sets with your lunch.

    It was open seating, reservations were not acknowledged as their "machine " was down. Service was sketchy. Our original waiter did well. There after was hard to find Service even though there were several young women standing around. Unexpected $10 pp cover for band.

    Food was good and portions were good value for the price. Both bands that played during our visit were great. However if you are dining there don’t feel you should be charged a cover. Only plus is that you were able to come later if you wanted with no additional charge.

    We loved the vibes (great help from the band) the decor of the restaurant is awesome. It's not modern it reflects history, and we love that. We loved our food and had a terrific server.
