B.B. King's Blues Club - Memphis
Book your next event with us
Everything was great - the food, the service, the atmosphere and the Band that was playing. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back.
I spent a week in Nashville and Memphis. I listened to country music, sat on a roof top, went to Lynchburg, and went out every night. Toss in a safari zoo, comedy bus tour, Grand Ole Opry, and Graceland. The crown jewel of the trip was BB Kings. It met my expectations which were high. The atmosphere is awesome. Entertainment was just great along with the food and drinks. I will be back this year for a weekend trip to Memphis. The cost of food and drinks are reasonable. My rating is a 10, 10 stars rather than 5. We took a 45 minute carriage ride that dropped us off at BB Kings. This is a must stop. Best Regards, Doug from Wisconsin.
Came to BB's on the recommendation of a friend in the mid afternoon. The first band was just warming up while we were being seated on the second level. The band played for an hour before being replaced by another band. The second band played more traditional blues music and we both enjoyed it. I hate LOUD places, but found the music level quite acceptable.
Wife had pulled pork while I tried the ribs. Both were very good. Would gladly go back next time in Memphis!
Really good food and servive. The band was great too. Good drinks. Worth a trip
Good food and music, but filthy table and chairs. Could not see the surface of the chair in the darkened atmosphere and left there with food caked all over the back of my pants. Surprised that we had to pay a $5 cover charge for each of us, even though we were buying dinner there.
best ribs I’ve ever eaten!!
B.B. King Blues Club in Memphis was a blast. We arrived around 6:00 pm and left around 9:45 pm. From the moment we entered the door until we left, we received exemplary service. The cover charge was very reasonable. We got a chance to experience two professional bands who entertained us every minute with blues, R&B, and memorable songs from the 70's and 80's. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable.
We will certainly be returning on our next trip to Memphis.
Food was spectacular. I would recommend the ribs or catfish platter
Ribs were outstanding, as were the deep fried pickles. Heard two bands while we were there and both were terrific.
Best spot in Memphis. Great food and music. Always a go to spot when visiting Memphis.
The band playing was excellent and really enjoyed the evening. Had the ribs which were delicious, the staff was very attentive, would definitely recommend. Great table and view of the stage
Great music, food, beer and time! Highly recommend the venue when in Memphis.
Though the music was loud, the band was excellent and the food was great. All of the music on Beale's Street is loud, so enjoy the soul and blues.
We tried 2 clubs in Memphis and vastly preferred BB King's. There was adequate seating, with no one standing in our sight lines. Food was quickly and beautifully presented. Plenty of choice for drinks. The band encouraged dancing and cheered us on. Great night!
The typical tourist trap
$5 cover per person for privelage of buying dinner there.
Great food. Great Blues. We had ribs and a beef Po Boy. Ribs were fantastic falling off the bone lip smacking. The Po Boy was full of tender succulent scrumptious roast beef.
If you want to experience Beale Street, give it a try. We were a party of 8 and seated next to the band where it was extremely loud and no view. Had to get up to see performance . The overall cleanliness was poor, sticky tables and menus. The waitress looked bored but was pleasant. This does not rate 5 stars by any means but is probably the best you will get on Beale Street.
Had a great meal without being rushed or moved on. Our table was booked for 7pm and we left at 9.30pm. BB Kings house band were superb and can’t praise the food or the staff enough. Great evening and would recommend to our family and friends
Great experience spoilt by reception at the door. Despite booking table for two months in advance and confirming attendance the previous day was told there was no table available because I was 3 minutes late !! We were in fact in the shop purchasing merchandise which took longer than expected. Took the intervention of a passing manager to sort out situation. Once settled had a great evening.
Great place to get a feel for Beale Street and what took place there on the history of music. Food was really good. The music was a little to loud and it was had to carry on a conversation.
Wonderful atmosphere , great waiter named Michael very efficient and personable with the best music you'll ever hear, musicians were awesome. We were entertained with old time roll & roll and then the best Blues ever from 5:30 until 11:30, fantastic experience.
We were seated on the Mezzanine overlooking the stage. The food was great! The entertainment was fantastic (Memphis Jonas) and the ambiance and energy from the crowd was contagious. Booked thru open table and seating was seamless. Will definitely visit again.
Very wonderful experience!! Music and food was excellent! Our waitress was excellent! Was very happy that the band accepted our music request!! Will definitely be back!!
The food and music were fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend to anyone wanting a goog night out.
First time there and what a great time we had! You should really check this place out while in Memphis.
Love this blues bar..Memphis Jones is a awesome band! You should definitely try the fried pickles for an appetizer. Thier Rub and BBQ sauce is so good!
The best ribs and blues on the side. A fun time.
I made reservations and I still had to wait 45 mins to be served! I had to find the waitress to ask for a refill. My first impression was not a good one.
Very nice band. The food was great!
The food, service and live music were all fantastic! Would definitely recommend to anyone dining in the Beale Street area.
Awesome place, totally recommend to anyone into live music. Food was good, ribs are the best so delicious. If you're going out to have conversions is the wrong place for you. It's all about the music.
Food was great! Make a reservation. Music was fantastic.
The fried catfish was amazing! The band performing was fantastic as well. We made a 4:30pm reservation for 4 on a Friday evening and were seated immediately. It wasn’t terribly crowded yet but it was a rainy day so I expect it would otherwise have been difficult to walk in and get a table. Our server was fun to interact with and kept joking around with our boys (aged 12 & 13). Seriously the best fried catfish I’ve ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back next time we visit Memphis!
We were so let down. My daughter had Shrimp and Grits and fried pickles, these was amazing! I had a burger that was extremely dry. The service was not very good. He forgot our drinks, then we had to chase him down to refill them once. He didn't drop off our food, he didn't check back on us, just dropped off the check and picked up the money. Never saw him again. We will not be back.
We visited BB Kings twice during our visit to Memphis. The ribs were absolutely amazing. The live music was outstanding. Can't think of one negative thing to say!
Great food and service— wonderful music. Loved Memohis John!
We made reservations a week in advance and expected to be shuffled in and out for the dinner rush. When we arrived a table was reserved right in front of the stage with our names. The service was fast and polite, dinner was amazing, and the show was very good. We stayed for one show and left when they went on break to allow others to come in. Should have stayed longer...
Stayed for 15 mins after paying entrance fee. Unfriendly staff, bad music; had nothing to do with blues. We left, knowing that our time was more valuable than the price of a lost entrance fee.
Visiting Memphis, stopped by this place and decided to get the famous ribs. We were not disappointed! They were amazing, so were the loaded tater tots, baked beans, and Mac and cheese. A band was playing that night too. Had a great experience.
Food good not great
Music generic overall so not for serious music afficionados
