We like this place because the food is interesting, the portions reasonable, it is rarely crowded, the ambience is pleasant, and it is good value for money by Marin standards. We have often gone for lunch, but this was our first time for dinner. I expect we will go back regularly. It is a bit of a hidden gem because it is inside Nordstroms.

I am so glad that the Nordstrom in Corte Madera has a restaurant and that they are serving some of the same food that the San Francisco one has on their menu. The mango salad and the citrus lime prawn salad are to die for! I also highly recommend the lamb ragout and gnocci– so flavorful and delicious! My niece and father loved the French dip sandwich! And the fries are fantastic!

Having had a wonderful meal there recently, it was disappointing to experience the same meal taste differently. The arugula I was not fresh, which influenced my overall eating experience. Both my husband and I were disappointed in the meal.

The food was fantastic and each dish a delicacy. However the pricing was disproportionate to the dish. Small crab salad was almost $18 Perez a much bigger dish was $6.99. unfortunately the restaurant was empty at 7 pm. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Great food great staff and cocktail hour a very good value
We have been twice 4 people once and 6 the second
Good / service was consistently very good
We do appreciate that the low noise level let us visit with each other in a group easily
Went to another Marin restaurant with a group of 5 and no one could hear anyone
One suggestion get better shades sun in the eyes at most tables not fun

Loved it! As I indicated in the 5 stars, the food, service and ambiance were great. We had a table with a view of Mt. Tam on a beautiful, sunny day. Our experience could only have been more perfect if they had an Espresso machine so we could have special coffees. However, the fresh brewed coffee was great. Thanks so much!!

We really enjoy Bazille . It is one of the restaurants that we make the rounds too! Everything is correctly done and presented well. One of my faves is the Skirt Steak and Romesco and my wife likes the Chicken Tacos. When we get in the shopping mood we go to Nordstroms and look around a bit and then go get dinner and a drink!

We had a lovely dinner. The place was empty- it was 8pm - and so we wondered how the food would be, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent- roasted brassicas as a starter, crab bisque, steak frites, gnocchi with lamb ragu- all were delicious- especially the frites!

What a cool place this WOULD be - reminiscent of the Walnut room in Chicago. It’s got a magnificent view of Mount Tam. The walls are real wood. The food is actually excellent.

What’s missing? Well, it just needs some spit and polish and some remodeling. It’s the kind of place that you’d like to go back to over and over again but here’s where they’re missing out: they present three paper menus. Granted, one is about the chef specials. But, couldn’t they create an impressive menu as opposed to these three, sometimes raggedy papers?

The other thing that’s missing is something super special about the place. Maybe it’s a signature food dish. Maybe it’s the best pot of French press coffee in town for only four dollars - good for two people!

Maybe, it’s some kind of homemade item like a healthy doughnut! Whatever it is it’s something that would bring people here. Neiman Marcus in San Francisco has that kind of item. Puff pastry. So I say try it out, encourage them to remodel if you can, and keep them in business. It’s an anachronism worthy of your reservation.

Pleasant surprise, especially after reading negative reviews. First there was the unexpected Happy Hour. We had avocado toast, expecting a tiny bit of food for $5, but it was two decent halves of bread loaded with avocado, corn, radish and other fresh and tasty veggies (can't remember it all). We had that along with the calamari appetizer {regular price) which was in the category of one of the best calamaris I've had: freshly made and well-seasoned, not greasy, tender and with an excellent Chinese-ey dipping sauce. Husband had French dip sandwich which was spectacular looking, and he said, excellent eating: meaty, tender and tasty, with a salad on the side (you chose between that and fries). Mine was the Salmon Nicoise, and it was perfection. The only negative was the atmosphere, a little humdrum and unpolished, it did not go with the level of food at all. I think it's nicer in the daytime, when you have views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Marin hillsides. We're going back. Day or night.

I’ve been to your restaurant often and really enjoy it, especially because it is quiet and the food is good. However, it was really a nightmare the other day because of the parking situation. I had to circle around many times and finally had to park clear down behind Macy’s. My guests also had a difficult time finding any parking. Because of people’s desperation many of them parked illegally. There is so much construction going on with walled off parking areas that I probably won’t go back for many many months. I was also surprised that even though there weren’t very many people in the restaurant the service was really slow.

We've dined here about five times this year. Each time we go, the food gets worse, portions smaller, lights brighter, and the restaurant emptier. Don't bother, even though it is convenient.

The kung pao brussels sprouts were really good. The ambience hasn't changed much from before. French dip was a tad bit dry, but actually tasted better the next day, so get a doggie bag. Extensive wine list, can't go wrong with California wines. I would come back after some retail therapy.

We had a very nice lunch recently at Bazille in the Corte Madera Nordstrom. Service was very good and the restaurant was quiet (how rare!) and comfortable. I had a delightful Asian chicken salad - very fresh. My friend had a Southwest chicken sandwich that she thought was too spicy for her taste, but she loved the french fries with olive tapenade. I liked it so much, I took my husband a few days later!

We absolutely love Bazille for the food! Their crab bisque is outstanding.

However, we were so disappointed this past visit. Our server got the order wrong and took too long to correct it, IMO.

But moreso, the atmosphere of Bazille was NOT conducive to a nice lunch. The music was excessively loud (they did lower the volume when we asked) and the tunes were more like what one would go to a disco club to hear, not to a quiet nook restaurant in an expensive store like Nordstroms. If I want to hear music with a heavy beat and only 4 notes repeated over and over and over and over and over and over (Get it? It's annoying!!!) I will go to a nightclub in San Francisco.

We will return to Bazille for the food, but if they don't change the music to something more quiet and in the background, we'll probably try somewhere else for our lunches.
