Bazille - Nordstrom San Francisco Centre
Salmon was overdone and music was loud in restaurant.
Enjoyed a great meal with a wonderful view. Atmosphere was great and server was outstanding. Can't believe that I didn't know about this place.
This is a hidden gem. Great food for the value and friends can shop after lunch!
A hidden gem inside Nordstrom and the Westfield Center. Classy but not pretentious -- lovely food and in a quiet atmosphere.
Had the cilantro lime shrimp salad. Really good. It greatly improved since it's last incarnation. Give it a try. Forget that it's in a department store and mall.
It's a great place for a quiet, delicious meal while shopping. We had the shrimp lime cilantro salad and it was yummy.
Food was great and freshly prepared. Service was great as our server was very attentive.
Excellent food and service. Always a go to place when we attend events in the city.
We had a lovely lunch. GREAT service. We enjoy having lunch at this restaurant prior to the opera.
This is a nice spot for a casual dinner prior to a night at the Golden Gate Theater. Our waiter was very friendly and there is a nice selection of vegetarian options. Unfortunately, the deal killer is that it is FREEZING in this place! I had to wear my hat and coat throughout the meal, and almost everyone was bundled up. I asked the waiter if they could turn off the air conditioning, and was informed that Nordstrom’s determines the temperature of the building and there was nothing they could do.
I love eating here when I'm downtown. It's quiet and has table service. The food is very tasty. Today I had the shrimp lime cilantro salad. Yummy.
Delightful lunch with my sisters after seeing Downton Abbey. We started with the maple bacon hard boiled eggs, which were tasty and artfully presented. I had the Shrimp Chitarra Pasta, in a red sauce, with just the right amount of heat. Our waitress was super nice. We split a gelato among the three of us, and she put each scoop in a separate cup.
Cortney was indeed very friendly and did her job well. The prices at this restaurant is very reasonable. Love the shrimp salad.
I really want Bazille to become my go-to restaurant for pre-theatre meals and cocktails before shows at the near-by Golden Gate Theatre. However, this is the third or fourth time going back where there are fruit flies buzzing the table, particularly interested in my drink of choice, a Manhattan. How there is a fruit fly issue in an indoor 6th-floor indoor enclosed space attached to Nordstrom I do not know. The service has also been spotty in the past, but better this time. I'd love to hear Bazille's management explain the fruit fly issue, and why it has not been resolved. Has to be an issue in the kitchen with produce storage and/or garbage
Good pre-theater meal located in Nordstrom, of all places, but right in the shopping center where there is a BART stop. Very convenient for taking BART into SF, grabbing dinner, and going to a show at a nearby theater.
This is a great place to eat before going to the Golden Gate Theatre. The French dip is delicious but the fries are fantastic!
Always enjoy having lunch here prior going to the theater. John M our waiter took wonderful care of us.
I loved my shrimp salad with grilled corn! It was tasty and well within my weight watcher points budget for lunch. The waiter was attentive and friendly. Kudos!
We loved our server, Cortney! Perfect location for dinner before going to the Golden Gate Theater.
There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed a delicious dinner and drinks after seeing the play, Anastasia!
Our waiter was lovely, his name was John. Food was good, it was a nice day.
All the dishes were very good. Service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating.
Fast and quality service.
Everything was delicious and Luis is a wonderful server and Jourdan is a great manager!
Our special group of 6 (former flight attendants now nearing 80??!!) meet twice a year in S. F. for lunch. Well, we can't say enough about our lunch experience at Bazille--being able to reserve the big round table for easy conversation, the warmth and friendliness of the hostess and servers, the quality and presentation of the food, etc. (And never take away the bread pudding dessert!) Thank you, and hope you never change--we will be back!!!!
as always great service and an outstanding meal. Thank you:)
Haven't been here for a while and it is looking a little shabby. Service was excellent and food is good.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch! Do recommend, happy with pleasant service.
They pampered us because my friend is a bride
We are native San Franciscans. We have never eaten here previously. We had a former client, who has become a friend, arrive from Hawai’i who was staying near Union Square and wanted to meet us for lunch. She suggested 4th floor of Nordstrom and we said perfect! We took BART in from the peninsula and conveniently got off to walk into the SF Westfield Mall.
Our table was ready and we were seated immediately by a cheerful hostess. Our waiter gave us our menus and was helpful in suggestions. Our meals came quickly and were good portions. Everything was tasty and displayed lovely on our plates. Our guest has a chicken salad, my husband had a crab/veggie salad and I had crab bisque and two appetizer lime chicken crispy tacos. Enjoyed all our choices and cleaned our plates. Water was replenished frequently and we were asked if everything was as we’d hoped often. We had tea at the end of our meal. They have no espresso machine, so we could not have decaf lattes as we’d hoped. We had no dessert. Too full.
The best part was that we were not “rushed” to turn our table and sat for a LARGE extended amount of time to chat with our guest. This meant a lot. They were not crowded even though it was a Saturday near noon and we could “hear” one another very well and had a nice time being able to leisurely catch up.
We will for sure return. Good food, good value, good service, convenient and pleasant!
Excellent salads. The shrimp and crab avocado in particular
What a nice surprise to find a place to have lunch in downtown San Francisco that is above par in food and service without pretension. My party of three dined on a busy Saturday afternoon and were all impressed with the great service, wonderful food and overall experience. Each of us would recommend Bazille to friends for a good meal at a great value. We especially loved that we could hold a conversation without being drowned out by ambient noise. Also the view of downtown looking up Powell Street with the cable cars running was a nice extra.
Grab a glass of wine and a a seat by the window for a nice view on a sunny day. This the the perfect place to take a break after a day of shopping.
I loved the Nordstrom Bistro, now called Bazille. I’ve always liked the set up, and the restaurant is normally quiet so sedate conversation is possible. The food is of s very good quality, and well prepared, but I’ve found it more expensive than before. Nevertheless, a good place to go for lunch.
We had a great pre-theater meal at Bazille. Wasn’t sure about going to a restaurant inside the mall, but it was a good choice with great city views! Our server was a very friendly guy from Kenya, I think his name is Jon. A wide variety of food ranging from soup and salads, sharing plates, sandwiches, and full entrees. I had the baby gem Caesar salad and it was perfect. So glad we didn’t try to fight crowds by the Orpheum - just a quick walk up Market.
so tired. the food was bland (horrible stale french fries), the carpet worn, and very underwhelming. good service helped.
Food is well prepared and service is very attentive.
Everything was excellent! Very welcoming atmosphere for me and my kids and such a fabulous view of the city.
