The menu recently changed. Few to no vegetarian options without ordering, for example, a salad "without the chicken." The hummus is gone and the tomato soup infrequent.
Food excellent. Waitress good.
Great food. But. Where were the chocolate mint with check?
I have been a longtime Nordstrom Bistro and Nordstrom Grill fan. Service and ambience at this Stanford Shopping Center location is still very good. But what has happened to the menu and food (seems to have gone down-market)? Bring back the Roasted Chicken Pomme Frites (but fix the pomme frites too). And someone should be paying attention to presentation. My dish was the Handmade Gnocchi with Lamb Ragu. The gnochhi was flat instead of pillowy fluffy and the ragu was overpowering. I was particularly puzzled by the flatbread that was listed as naan on the menu (why is naan being served with pasta?) but came across as pita bread (the clay oven marks and flavor associated with naan were not there). Presentation needs work. Show you care. Please bounce back. Good news: the White Chocolate Bread Pudding is still fantastic.
The chicken that was served was undercooked. It also took 25 minutes to get our check.
