My dining experience was TERRIBLE because I arrived with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday only to find out that the restaurant is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. We drove the hour from Fort Lauderdale in rush hour Friday night traffic to eat at this place we all loved. I was NEVER notified at any point by open table or Bazaar Mar of the closing. I am highly disappointed and don’t think I will ever dine at another one of Jose Andres’ restaurants ever again.
I made my reservation 3 weeks prior to being in Miami. When trying to change the number of guests for the reservation the concierge at the hotel informed me that the restaurant closed on April 1. This was also confirmed by a phone call. very disappointed that the restaurant did not let me know nor did you know.
The service left a lot to be desired.
The first 4 wines I chose were not available, as was 30% of the menu items we chose.
The first waiter we had took forever to attend to us and when he did, we had to request our drinks to be brought to us 3 times.
A few dishes were outstanding, the olives, the fennel cake etc.. but some were mediocre, the baby squid, the lion fish, etc.
When we complained to the manageress who took one of th champagne bottles off the bill, but the harm was done.
We had a wonderful dinner and the unique experience. Each of the nine dishes we tried once unique that we had never tried before and they all tasted amazing. The staff was fantastic. The sad news is we found out that I went to last night that the restaurant was open. They are closing in town and opening up new concepts around the United States. We wish the staff the very best as we had an awesome dinner
Todo muy especial la waitress, una joven colombiana fue sencilla, agradable, útil y muy profesional
Food was amazing, diverse and innovative. Fish and seafood were very fresh. Cool decor.
Enjoy a fabulous meal this week at Bazaar Mar, with my son. Every aspect of the meal/experience was fantastic. The flavours, ingredients, preparation and presentation were spot on. Imaginative and compelling use of the freshest ingredients surely made this a meal to savour and remember. Trevor was a fantastic host. Highlights include Poseidon’s Pillows, cobia steak and king Ora salmon dishes. Will definitely return again
We've eaten at several of Jose Andre's restaurants and were looking forward to trying his sea food emphasis location. We were not disappointed. There was a mix of old favorites as well as new variations and completely new dishes. The kitchen exhibited the discipline and execution that we've come to expect from the Bazaar brand and the service was professional and welcoming. Its pricy, so not a place you'd go every day too, but well worth it for special occasions. Highly recommended.
This is great. The Neptunes pillows were such a creative sushi/non-sushi. The funnel cake was tasting the sea. Jose also found a new way to present gambas.
Add a glass or 2 of Albarino and have a fantastic dinner.
My wife and I are fans of Jose Andre's restaurants. Zaytinya has been our most favorite, followed by Jaleo Las Vegas, then Jaleo Penn Quarter, then Oyamel, but Mar may replace Zaytinya on our list.
Waiter was poorly trained and did not communicate well....and covered in tatooes
We had the chef’s tasting menu and supplemented with a couple of stone claw crabs.
This was one of the most delicious meals we had in Miami.
Very innovative, and entertaining dining experience.
Delicious food, imaginatively prepared. Pedantic service: “We must teach you how to dine here.” Unnecessarily expensive! Bread and water rarely cost so much! Dining should be a pleasure rather than a tutorial.
Had an interesting meal by pulling together two hot apps, two cold apps, paella and cobia and an interesting vegetable featuring Japanese baby peaches. Highlights included the cod fritters, Neptunes pillows and a complimentary Key Lime Pie (it was my birthday). Lots of people watching and an inventive menu. Definitely worth a visit.
Anniversary. I didn’t like where they sat us. Not cozy, more cafeteria casual feel.
One of the most incredible dining experiences ever. The service and food were more than what I expected. Incredible team working on Saturday!
We had a fabulous time once again. It was a great evening to enjoy the food and company. As a part of 4, we shared a number of different dishes, each better than the last. Even one person who was not usually adventurous, tried everything. The drinks were also alot of fun. Service was great and allowed for us to have great conversations and enjoy everything leisurely.
Had a lovely evening with my daughter. Food was delicious, especially their tacos and the peach salad. My daughter fell in love with key lime “my way”.
it was my second time - the experience, while still good, quickly diminishes with the frequency you visit the restaurant. While my first time was a 5, my second time was definitely a "done this before" and as such just a 4. The Lion fish is a must - the asian tacos are mediocre to be frank. This place may be on its way to be just another hype.
amazing food but for the price you expect great service and it was very slow and not great at all. Otherwise great experience.
Victor our waiter sid an amazing job and Chef Victor was kind enough to viait our table. Absolutely fantastic! Outstanding culinary experience!!
Very fresh, amazing variety. Creative dishes that the waiter explained every time he brought one. Expensive, but well worth it.
By far one of my favorite dining experiences...each item we had seemed to be better than the last and just when we didn’t think they could be topped! Excellent service, beautiful restaurant, relaxing and engaging atmosphere. Perfection at every point.
Employees not polite and not focused on costumers.
Innovative seafood fare...everything we had was superb. It is a bit expensive for what you get (12 dollars for a bruschetta-like small plate, but not really any tomatoes). If you do decide to go...be aware that the place is quite deafening when it gets busy after 7:30. Try sitting in the dining room near the host station...not as interesting but your ears won't be ringing afterwards.
This remains one of most favorite restaurants in south Florida. Every time we come, the meals have been terrific and the wait staff are terrific.
I loved the food, but the service for such a restaurant was inattentive. Many times, our water and wine glasses were empty. If the bottles were at our tables, we could have refilled ourselves. But they were not, so we had to chase down the server several times.
Great food! Come for a true experience of wonderfully prepared food and have a few hours to enjoy the experience.
A friend and I dined here onna Friday night. It was busy but never felt packed or loud. The service was incredible. Our server was attentive and had great knowledge of the menu. The food was as expected..amazing and the portions were satisfying. I highly recommend if in the Brickell area.
Bazaar Mar by @chefjoseandres was impeccable made all the better by our maestro waiter, Fernando. He completely changed the tasting menu to accommodate my wife’s gluten allergy. The sea urchin was amazing, jamon Iberico was incredible but the dessert was out of this world. Highly recommend if in Miami
The food was great, a couple were nothing special. However due to my diet restrictions, they were very accommodating to my diet and worked around a menu I was able to eat. Some of the foods were absolutely delish, a couple was good but nothing extraordinary. Highly recommend the scallops, baby squid, and mushrooms.
Excellent food; great experience; convenient location
Spent $250 on a meal for two here and it was pretty mediocre. Great service and nice ambience, but the steak, lobster, dessert, and other menu items were unimpressive and bland. Cocktails were great.
Food presentation as expected was beautiful.
The tuna pillows were delicious, as was the ceviche.
My main entree was the hogfish, which I enjoyed.
The wine list left a lot to be desired, and I almost turned away the oysters.
Maple point oysters are one of my favorites, but they tasted fishy. I had to douse them in cocktail sauce and pray I wouldn’t get sick.
Disappointing experience overall. Beautiful space but that was the only real highlight. We arrived on time and had to wait 15-20 minutes in the bar which was pleasant. Food was underwhelming- portions are very small. My monkfish was less than a pack of cards. Flavors were fine. The fried baby octopus was decent. Delicious albariño from spain. Note- dishes come out as they’re ready. My friend received his main about 15-20 min before I did. It’s “supposed” to be that way since it’s tapas style. Would not return. Perhaps Jose’s other Bazaar is better?
We had a fantastic experience here. We did the tasting menu and went on a food journey with Jose and it was amazing. It was 11 dishes and everything was perfectly timed and perfectly built on to each other. The service was great, they explained each dish beautifully as they came out and we left full! We will be coming back! PS Neptune’s pillow and the California “funnel cake” on the menu was our favorite
Very nice selection of tapas , all fresh and very well presented , excellent to place for relaxing and enjoying a great food and drinks
La comida excelente más sin embargo nos hicieron esperar una hora a partir de nuestra reserva.
The food is superb.
Beautiful restaurant, but all the wonen would agree that the room is ridiculously cold. A bit warmer would make the dining experience so much better.
Great meal but very expensive
My boyfriend and I always make it a point to come to this restaurant when we visit Miami. Highly suggest the lobster croquettes and the iberico ham steak. Can’t wait for our next visit!
