Bayviews Restaurant & Lounge Bar is located on the beach with endless views of the coast to the ocean in cool climate coastal northern Tasmania.
It offers a beautiful relaxed atmosphere for dining in the restaurant, casual drinks and bar food in the lounge area and private dining, conferences and meetings in the exquisite Wave room.
At Bayviews we have a seasonal menu and it paints a portrait of the region using the highest quality ingredients that we can find, focusing on six key areas: land, ocean, vineyards, livestock, dairy and orchard.
Our contemporary restaurant offers a-la-carte and six or nine course tasting menu. Our dishes are created from local products and techniques from our talented team of chefs. Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan options available.

An incredible dining experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely spot on. Our waitress was fantastic – attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. Every staff member who approached our table was just as lovely, always checking in with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed. The little extras throughout the night – like the palate cleansers – were such a nice touch and really elevated the whole experience. The cocktails were creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. I have severe food allergies, including to nuts, and I was so impressed with how seriously and professionally the team handled it. Despite having many nut items on the menu, they made me feel completely safe and well cared for. Can’t fault a thing – amazing food, drinks, and service. We’ll definitely be back!

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Bayviews and had an amazing experience! All my special requests were met, and we even got a lovely surprise. A dessert with a candle, a birthday song from one of the lovely staff, and to our delight, other diners joined in singing too! It made the night feel extra special. Thank you Bayviews we’ll definitely be back!

As someone with a dietary requirement (Vegan), I love there is a vegan / vegetarian menu and its much appreciated as it means it's easy to find a place to eat that can accommodate dietry requirements easily. The only problem is, the menu hasn't changed for a long time and there are only two vegan mains and because I go to Bayviews quite regularly, it would be nice for a bit of a change to the menu. Aside from that, it's still a great place to bring visiting friends and family and the service is excellent :)

Highly recommend the squid entree and the pumpkin gnocchi. Cannelloni really impressed the meat eater and sous vide chicken was delicious.

The food here is next level. Very well priced for the high quality of flavour and service. Sadly, we did find a hair in our cafe de paris butter, we had it promptly replaced by a very apologetic manager and they took the entree off the bill. The sous vide chicken was out of this world and so is the pork belly. So tender and melts in your mouth and the most beautiful flavours. Clearly Chef knows what they are doing. Will 100% continue to dine there.

Had an absolutely lovely night, food was amazing and the advertiser’s were great, the staff were very professional and made the evening special, but the view is something else. 10/10 would recommend!
