   Great food. Nina and rhubarb toast, pasta and porchetta all fab. Service relaxed but efficient and knowledgeable. Ambience cool; we loved the playlist!

   Gorgeous food. Sharing plates were plenty for two of us. Really excellent waitress. First place since moving from London that feels like home

   Everything at BAYTE exceeded our expectations. The food, service and ambience were all amazing and we felt so comfortable and welcome. We had a starter, two small plates, two mains and a tiramisu and we were a great level of full for two people. Wine was lovely as well. Can't recommend enough for a special date night or occasion.

   Our first visit to BAYTE was for dinner last October when we were visiting for the weekend. Our meal was the best food we ate all weekend. This time we took the train down for lunch with pals from Rye, and we were equally impressed. Shorter menu at lunch, nicely spaced tables, good service and talented chefs in the open kitchen - all only a 2 minute walk from St. Leonards' station!

   Superb lunch at Bayte...... very appealing menu and when one item (the agnolotti pasta) was found to be served in chicken broth, the chef very kindly made it vegetarian for the non meat eaters in our group - and it was utterly delicious. The desserts were even better. Our waitress could not have been nicer or more helpful - without being intrusive - the whole lunch was a joy.

   Really one of the tastiest meals I've eaten for a long time. The bread and smoked charcutterie starty was delicious and the pasta course was excellent too. The highite though, was the pine nut, coffee and pumpkin Neapolitan ice ice a triumph. All ably served by the kind lady on FOH duties. Definitely will return...

   We had the best food with the best service. Pricey for us but worth it coz the quality of the food was so good it felt like a proper treat. thanks
