Excellent food and great service with a view of the Bay. I would add some music for ambiance, but otherwise, very nice.
WOW! Thanks for the AWESOME review! I am pleased you enjoyed your dining experience with us!
Food is a bit overpriced for atmosphere. Waitress seemed un-interested. Menu wasn't consistent... feel was between casual and fine dining but couldn't make up its mind. But food was delicious.
We appreciate your feedback and review.
Suggest to go elsewhere, overpriced and horrible customer service.
We apologize for the problems you experienced.
We enjoyed our visit although it took our waitress some time to get to us and finally the hostess took our order.
Thanks for your recent visit and review.
My husband and I were staying at the Sheraton and needed a convenient, dog friendly restaurant and this place fit the bill. The setting and service were fantastic although I thought the food was just ok. I had the perch entree and the cole slaw that came with it tasted like it had been sitting in the refrigerator too long. The fries and perch were ok. Fries were frozen and the perch was a bit bland. It would have been good to have had a lemon wedge to season it. Portions were big but I prefer quality over quantity. I’d still go back for the setting but would try something else on the menu.
Thank you so much for the review and feedback. I will be sure to share your comments with my team.
My husband and I had a wonderful lunch on a Thursday afternoon outside and it was marvelous! Thank you Anita for being such a great server and thank you manager for stopping by to check with us. We will definitely go again!
Thanks for the spectacular review! I am happy that you had such a great experience in the restaurant!
Food, service, ambiance and weather were all very fine
Thanks for the wonderful review!
Great location, nice variety menu...food was good, nothing amazing though
Thanks for the AWESOME review!
The food was ok. Both my husband and daughter’s orders were wrong. My Caesar salad was very bland. As far as the ambiance...We sat outside, had a nice view of the water.
Thanks for the review. I apologize for the problems you experienced and will be sure to share this information with my staff.
The salmon dinner was very good. I had the perch which had too much breading and were dry. I enjoyed the fries with lots of ketchup.
We enjoyed one of our favorite 19 Crimes red wine which was on the menu.
I appreciate the review and feedback. I will be sure to share with my chef.
My wife and I went to the Grill for lunch with our daughter to celebrate her birthday. The table and chairs were sanitized, and we saw staff sanitize those others used when they left. The waitress was prompt and helpful and the food was delicious and plentiful. And the she brought out cheesecake with candles for our celebration.
Thanks for the great review! I am so happy to hear that you had such a great experience!
Restaurant has a great view and the service was fantastic
Great salad! Friendly waitress
The food was very good and the service was professional and pleasant
Lunch was fantastic. We enjoyed our meal outside on the patio. The perch dinners were delicious and had large portions. We went back for dinner and it wasn’t quite as good, but still had a nice time again eating outside on the patio. The scenery is very pretty. We went for breakfast the next morning and all they had was takeout because of COVID but it was a very good breakfast. Servers all did a good job.
Thanks for your recent visit and review of the Bayfront Grille! I appreciate your feedback and understanding during this current pandemic. We hope you can come back and visit us again soon!
The food and service-FABULOUS! I felt safe and looked like everyone was sanitizing and wearing masks! They also closed down at 2 to clean and sanitize! EXCELLENT !!
Thanks for your AWESOME review of the Bayfront Grille! I am so pleased you enjoyed your dining experience!
We had a breakfast reservation. After being seated we waited 1/2 hour and a server never came to the table at all, so we left and ate elsewhere.
Thanks for your recent stay and review. I sincerely apologize for the problems you experienced and will be sure to immediately address this with the staff.
Had reservations for 9:30am seated at 9:20 great. At 10:15 we still had not seen a waiter waitress table next to us said they had been there 2 hours and when food did arrive it was cold. My party of 4 and another party of 4 chose to leave no one even seemed to notice 8 people left
Thanks for your feedback I apologize for this situation and will be sure it is addressed immediately.
Everything was beautiful from the view to the few to the service. I had the lemon blueberry French toast and it was amazing and my guy had the Cajun skillet and said it was great!! We sat on the patio looking at the bay. The service was top notch!! So friendly!! We will be back!
Thanks for the AWESOME review! I am so happy you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you back again soon!
The food was way overpriced for the quality of the food. My omelette had no flavor. My husband and son’s sausage links we burnt on the outside but raw on the inside. $78 dollars for breakfast for three people with no alcohol. Will never return
Not a great place for lunch as the menu is limited to just sandwiches and 2 entrees. The sandwiches are no different than any other restaurant except they're more expensive. The dinner entrees I've had are very good though.
The only issue with our experience was conduct of the staff members. When we arrived at the reservation desk 2 female staff members were finishing their personal conversation in front of us for quite some time before acknowledging myself and my guests. Also, an argument was witnessed between 2 staff members by one of my friends on the way to the bathroom. There was an overall somewhat unprofessional vibe given off by those staff members referred to.
Great outside lunchtime
Patio closed before our order was taken due to unexpected rain storm. Our server accommodated us inside the Sheraton's bar area with takeout option. Burgers and truffle fries were delicious!
We had to sit outside because of COVID regulations and during my lunch it started raining hard. The waitress did not go out of her way to get us an umbrella and acted annoyed when we requested to move to a table with an umbrella. I understand there is not much they could do in this situation but, acting rude to a request for an umbrella so I didn't get rained on while eating my meal was not necessary or appreciated.
Our service was sooo slow!! And our food was cold.. my husband for a perch sandwich instead of perch dinner never seen waitress back to tell her issue. The food was probably good if it was hot. Very disappointed being this is the second time we have been there to eat and food was cold and service stunk.
The view is amazing , our waiter was very attentive and polite. The food was awesome and the price was reasonable.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience eating on the patio at the Bayfront Grille! The setting is spectacular, the restaurant's operation is first class, and the food and service were terrific. Without a doubt, they have the best perch sandwiches around! It was so good to get out, and eating at such a lovely place made the evening absolutely perfect. Thanks to the Bayfront Grille for providing us a much-needed return to normalcy.
Food was amazing and so was the service. Very reasonably priced for such a great dinner and the view is gorgeous. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful setting. Great service. Wonderful for Sunday brunch.
Initially, our experience was lovely. We were seated by a pleasant hostess at a table with a view of the bay.
Service: Our server came over a few minutes after being seated to take our drink orders. She was very abrupt but we shrugged it off as she was busy and trying to accommodate all of her guests. However, as the evening progressed her attitude increasingly became worse. We watched her raise her voice to other patrons who had limited English but were trying their best to order. She wasn’t being helpful but just continued to repeat the same thing over and over very loudly. She continued with the same curtness throughout our interactions during our meal. When we were done with our meal and the check was brought over she asked my husband who had the to-go boxes if we needed a bag. He said we did not. She turned to me, who did not have any to-go boxes, and asked the same. Before I even had an opportunity to answer she raised her voice and started making hand gestures as if I were intellectually impaired and said “you know a bag.”
Food: For starters, we ordered the Calamari which was cooked perfectly and flavorful but the breading crumbled off before it made it to your mouth. The marinara and aioli served with it were both delicious.
We each had soup, Chicken Tortellini for my husband and Crab and Corn chowder for myself. Each were delicious.
Main Course: My husband ordered the Veal Ravioli. The veal was not seasoned at all and a bit tough. However, the ravioli in the dish was good.
I ordered the Cider Braised Half Chicken with the Sweet Onion Tart and Fingerling Potatoes as an accompaniment. My meal was delightful. The chicken was flavorful and well presented. The sweet onion tart was delicious and definitely my favorite part of the meal.
I did order desert, the Chocolate Tart, it was decadent and delicious, so much so, that I had to take half of it home.
Our overall experience suggests that we probably will not dine here again.
This would usually be a five star review but they have added outdoor dining igloos- which I am sure are so fun for those in them... but for the rest of us in the dining room it was almost unbearably cold because the wait staff had to keep opening doors to seat and serve igloo patrons.
Reservations were very easy to make through Open Table for the time we wanted. We were seated promptly at a very nice table overlooking the water. Waitress was attentive throughout the evening. We ordered a couple appetizers, and they were very good. We ordered the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and they were amazing!! The dinners were just "okay", and I feel overpriced. We did enjoy enjoy an after dinner drink (Irish Coffee and Chocolatini). Those were very tasty! For the price of a fine-dining restaurant, however, this would not be my first choice.
There are very few fine dining restaurants in Erie. The Bayfront grille is at the top of the food chain. There is an excellent range of options for all courses. The staff was attentive and friendly. The decor/lighting was modern. The views are amazing. (Window seat)
The food was properly prepared. Presentation was creative and the flavors exploded. (Seafood pasta and fillet entrees)
The price for 2 cocktails each, a salad, soup and main course and shared desert was $140 with $35 tip. It was a $175 meal. Not for everyone but it’s worth every penny. We plan to return frequently.
Bravo Bayfront Grille. You have outdone many of your local competition.
Dinner was delicious. The bison was very tender and my husbands veal dish was lovely. Our server was attentive and efficient. Meals came out timely and hot.
We had reserved a high top for 2:30 on Christmas Day - when we arrived (on time) we were left standing for more than a few moments, even though the hostess said they were in a "lull". We were then seated at a small table for 2 near the kitchen door....not the high top we requested. There seemed to be enough servers, were brought water promptly, but waited for our drinks from the bar to be brought. We ordered and the food was very good - but my entree never did come. The server was apologetic and packed the food for takeout and took it off the bill. It just seemed that they were not that busy but there were delays and mistakes. They were very nice, the restaurant was nice - just not up to par in my opinion.
Nice place, and great view of the bay, but service was inconsistent. The food was average, and priced a bit on the high side for Erie, but not so bad considering it is a nice hotel. We had to wait 15 minutes, despite having a reservation. We watched the empty tables being bused in no particular hurry, and others were waiting as well. Appetizer and soups were served together, despite our specific request to have them separate. Two of three entrees arrived, but the third was more than 10 minutes later, with the excuse that the chef burned the first one - nothing was offered for the inconvenience. The server was nice, seemed to lack any real concept of time management.
WE were pleasantly surprised to find a moderately priced luncheon menu. Food was good, nicely prepared
Food quality needs to be better. When it first opened, it was excellent.
We have never been disappointed at the Bayfront Grill. The view is beautiful, the servers are very attentive and accommodating and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend breakfast, lunch or dinner at The Bayfront Grill.
