The Food was Great and we had a beautiful view by the window!
Our experience at the Bayfront Grille was a good one. The ambience is just wonderful, we were seated in a window seat that had a wonderful view of Lake Erie. The service was top notch and was very appreciated. My husband ordered a coffee spiced beef dish which he said was very tasty and prepared just like he wanted. I ordered the citrus chicken which tasted wonderful, but was very dry. I wanted to finish it, but it was just too overdone. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were cooked just right. I would definitely go back again, for the ambience, and service, but wouldn't order the chicken again!
The waitress did mention this to the cook, and I was given a complimentary free dessert, which was delicious. That was very nice of them to offer that to me.
The service and the food were both outstanding and sitting by the window looking out at the bay just made it even more memorable! Our waiter was so nice!
Great food! Our first time here but it definitely will not be our last.
Great service, food was very good. Only thing, lights were a bit too bright.
I had a beef pot roast dish the veggies were terrific the beef was tough. I would not order this dish again. My wife had stuffed trout which was excellant she would order it again
We visited the Erie Home and Garden Show then went to dinner.
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. High ceilings made for a quieter room.
No where did I see it mentioned this is s hotel restaurant
For the amount of money it was very limited menu and food wasn't up to par with price.
To be honest, our expectations weren’t high when we booked our reservation since the restaurant is attached to a hotel chain. We were in Erie visiting relatives and looking for a higher-end restaurant that could accommodate a gluten-free diet. Our experience with the food, service and ambience compared to five star restaurants we’ve visited in California, NY and New Orleans - amazing! The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff easily and graciously accommodated my gluten-free diet with delicious options. Our evening turned out to be a fabulous dining experience and we will be sure to return next time we’re visiting the Erie area!
The food was excellent (both the quality and preparation) but the Drinks where sub-par. We ordered “specialty drinks” (Manhattan / Mojito) at $15 each that came in the smallest cocktail glass I have ever seen (maybe 1.5 shots worth of fluid fit in the cup). The taste was terrible so we both switched to bottles of beer. Because of the alcohol situation and the cost - I can not recommend this restaurant anymore (it was great even 6 months ago but something has changed).
We had a 900 reservation after being seated nobody came to our table until 930 when a couple seated next to us were waited on immediately. I felt mistreated being a woman of color who is just trying to enjoy a great night with my newly fiancé
Our waitress had several tables, including ours, as well as a very large birthday party. Despite that, she was wonder!
They had a birthday party so it was noisy. Food and service were great.
We selected the Bafront Grill for our Date night dinner. We started with drinks and a flatbread appetizer. My cosmopolitan was excellent as was the flatbread. We both had filet with garlic mashed potatoes. I had asparagus and he had mixed veggies and salad everything was fantastic! They get my vote for best filet in Erie.
Delicious from appetizer to dessert. Wonderful innovations to traditional fare, especially in the sauces and sides. One of Erie's best restaurants.
Upon arrival we were seated at a table near the window. While the view was pleasant to look at it was a cold area to be seated in and we ended up very chilled before the meal was over. Our server was pleasant but not as attentive as we felt she should be, long periods of time went between our courses and we had to get up from the table and find her in order to pay the bill and leave. The food was excellent. Perfectly prepared and presented. However we did choose a baked cheesecake for dessert and felt that it was substandard in comparison to the wonderful meal. We did not finish the dessert. We plan on returning for future dates.
Excellent place and food, after a long driving, we have a good place to enjoy a fantastic dinner.
Server took awhile to acknowledge us. When we asked for a short minute to decide, it felt like 15 for her to come back. She came back saying they were out of my first choice. I chose the salmon, it was dry. Fried calamari was good. Pork shoulder pierogis were not as described. Odd combinations pork not actually in the pierogis . Creamy grits were not creamy but very salty with an odd flavor. Later asked for a box and had to wait a while longer after the box was gives to get the check and Had to flag her down for it
A very nice place to dine. The food is delicious, the waitstaff well trained, and the view is spectacular.
As always great food, great experience.
Creative menu for hotel restaurant in Erie. Attentive service.
Great food and service. Very enjoyable.
The food we had was excellent. My husband and I had planned on getting entrees (the options were great! A very fancy chicken mac and cheese and a vegetarian option of ratatouille both sounded delicious in addition to the seafood option which I unfortunately can't recall), but the burgers called to us. He got a sirloin burger (medium well) while I got the Bayfront Burger (well). Both were cooked to perfection! The toasted buns were the perfect amount of crunchy, and I love their fries. It was a great meal! We were seated right by the window and had a great view of the water and the tower at Dobbins Landing - it was quite gloomy so not spectacular like it's been when we've gone on sunny days, but still nice to watch the ducks and seagulls and waves. It was quieter than usual that day - we went for lunch on a Sunday, which must not be their busy time. Truly our reservation wasn't needed. But I like the security of having one anyway!
Food was fantastic. Our server was great. My husband and I are both eating Keto right now and she was super helpful in accommodating our needs.
Never disappointed here. The food and service is always great, definitely much better than you would expect from a hotel restaurant. Your out of town guests will be pleasantly surprised. Love the corn chowder and cucumber salad with pecans.
The total experience was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, especially the view of the water. It was our first time to Erie PA and would love to come back.
Service was way better than expected after reading other reviews. Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of what the chef could do. The ambiance was also amazing, but with outside seating next to a gorgeous body of water how can you go wrong? My wife had the roasted airport chicken which she wasn’t too overwhelmed with excitement about and just kept telling me it was good. I had the pork dinner option which I found to be out of this world and I do believe my wife was tired of hearing about it. The tenderloin was average unless I included the pulled pork on each bite with the tenderloin then it was fantastic! The mashed potatoes and coleslaw complimented the dish very well. The home run, believe it or not, came from the vegetable which I almost substituted when I ordered but decided to keep it as the chef intended. I personally have never ate a serving of Brussels sprouts in my life until this dinner! They were the most amazing vegetable I’ve ever had! I’m not sure how he prepared them but I would highly recommend them!
We sat outside and it was very pretty. Food was good. Service was ok. Moscow mules served in glasses not copper mugs.
We have always had very tasty meals at the Bayfront Grille and, of course, we love the lakefront ambience. My wife and I think the food is the best in the Erie area and highly recommend dinner there, especially in the seasons when you can dine outside. Service is always prompt and friendly. Good drink prices, too!
I would recommend the Bayfront Grille as a place to dine with friends or family. You are made welcome and we felt special with the service we received. Loved looking at the water while having good conversations with friends. The Bar area looked like everyone was enjoying their experience. I will return with friends and highly recommend the Bayfront Grille. You will not be disappointed for any occasion. You are welcome casual dress or fancy. The food was excellent and the presentation first class. We will return again and thank you for the wonderful experience we had. We were 4 Lady Friends out for a fun weekend.
Try it and you will not be disappointed. See you soon and Thank you.
Bayfront Grille has a great patio and great views... I would recommend drinks & apps but not dinner. We found out the Perch they serve is imported, which is odd, because 50 feet from where we are sitting is a giant body of water where Perch is AMPLE and fresh. Instead they import it, freeze it, and fry it. My vegetable gnocchi was decent, but it was an overwhelming amount of veggies that felt as though they came from a can - not fresh veggies. Service was very kind and the location, again, was nice to be waterfront, but wouldn't recommend for a fresh dinner.
Service needs to be better trained on menu and drink options and know about describing than. Also waitress was not polished and seemed like first day serving.
My wife and I ate here this past Friday while we were in Erie for an overnight trip. When we arrived, I asked for a table with a water view (the restaurant/hotel is right on the bay). We were immediately taken to a great table on the patio right next to the water. The view was the best in the house and there was live music from a couple of gentlemen singing and playing the guitar. I can't remember their names, but they were good. The music was loud enough to hear, but not loud enough to make it difficult to hear your table-mates (and I have some difficulty hearing at times when there is background noise).
We had to wait about ten minutes for the waitress to come to the table the first time, and the food took what seemed like longer than it should have to arrive after we ordered, but other than that the service was excellent. My wife ordered the Airport Chicken and I ordered Filet Mignon. Both of us thought the food was good but not great. My wife said the chicken was really salty and I thought the filet was four star, but not five...Overall, though, the food was definitely good, just not great.
To summarize, it was a very nice meal with good music and a great view.
The staff was incredible, pleasant, and friendly. The food was a delight and the setting of the outside dining was amazing. If it hadn’t been for some impolite people at other tables around us, the evening would have been perfect. Everything that the staff had control over was absolute perfection! Thank You for a wonderful evening.
Kitchen was backed up and dinners took longer than expected and no management staff ever came over to apologize! Poor service. Food was good but way to long to get dinner after ordering!!!!
Requested outdoor bayside seating- nice n fresh air but we didn’t see the sunset. There was a music duo singing country, jazz and rock they were awesomely entertaining.
For starters we ordered calamari and Peruvian mussels- the calamari lacked flavour but not greasy, served with a marinara and another aioli like sauce- they taste fresh and delicious.
Peruvian mussels were spectacular- fresh tasting beautifully presented and gave us enough for 3 or four. Served cold seviche style on a bed of mixed vegetable relish that complements well - almost smooth except for that giant chewy Mexican corn. Otherwise it’s a perfect summer appetiser..
For entrees one ordered Roasted Airline Chicken.quite impress presentation with Marsala sauce and mushroom and mashed potatoes- my picky friend finished his plate. I ordered blackened barramundi- this fish is fresh not fishy with crispy skin moist white fish without fishy taste. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. If there’s one reason to come back here - this is it. Two ordered ribeye steaks both ordered medium well - one was perfect melt in your mouth tender but the other was chewy and a bit overdone. Both seasoned ok.
For dessert tea and beignets - presented nicely three pieces with chocolate and vanilla cream in each - not greasy moist soft with a light crunch on the bite. Perfect dessert. Service took awhile to refill our bread and to get our dessert order.
Above average but has potential to be perfect. Definitely will comeback and recommend. Thanks Bayfront grill.
The food was selection and end result were fantastic. Top it all off with sitting lakeside and you have the makings for a perfect night. Bayfront is great for any occasion. Weather permitting, sit outside.
