Bayfront Bistro Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I needed a romantic night out. We decided to try Bayfront Bistro. The views, food and service were absolutely amazing. We usually go to a different place for our occasional night out, but we found our new favorite restaurant. Thank you for a great dinner and impeccable service.
This outstanding restaurant is not to be missed. The food, the service, the ambiance, the view are all spectacular! Each member of our table of 7 was thoroughly impressed. Even with orders from rare to well-done for the salmon dish, the chef prepared the salmon perfectly to each person's taste. The same can be said for the steak. Dolphins leaping in the air just outside our window view added to the joy of being there. The servers anticipated our every need. The waiter was professional, charming and unobtrusively efficient. We cannot say enough about how fabulous this restaurant is. Definitely go!
Server had a very limited knowledge of the menu! Grouper Udon was very bitter, Hot Sword Fish served with ice cold crab salad on top. When we asked the server about the cold crab, she said "oh no it should be hot", she took it back to the kitchen, then brought it back and said no it is supposed to be cold. Coffee drink was also served lukewarm at best.
My wife and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at the Bayfront,we were welcomed by hostess who wished us a happy anniversary, seated at a great table overlooking marina. Waiter very pleasant, wine menu terrific although we didn't order wine that evening. Clam chowder excellent, salad very fresh and well prepared. My wife ordered Seminole Beef and I had wrapped Filet both dishes were prepared as we ordered risotto and potato's as well as the vegetables were fresh and well prepared.Deserts were very tasty.overall experience was a 9 out of 10
We have eaten here numerous times before and always enjoyed the food, but this time we were told that the wine was 1/2 price but when bill came we were charged full price $15 for a glass of chianta is very high. When I asked waiter about bill he said that was only for a bottle of wine and told him thats not what he told us, he pretty much brushed us off. We normally do not complain but I think this time we had a right not to be happy.
We were visiting the Pink Shell Resort and the spa personnel recommended Bayfront Bistro. It is available via the Lee trolley if you have them stop at the Publix stop between stop 3 & 4 on the route heading southbound. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the ambience is excellent. You can go casual but you will feel that you are in an upscale dining establishment. Prices are moderate. We split a Caesar salad and it was ample portion size for both. I had the cioppino and would recommend. My husband was disappointed in the quality (size) of the mussels. We would go back. Our server was very attentive and nice.
Has a great view but was very disappointed with the food. The bread and olive oil was the best part of the meal so we thought we were in for a real treat. The pork chops were on special and were clearly the wrong thing to order. They were fatty and really thin. Not what you would expect for $30. The shrimp pasta dish we ordered was good and flavorful. Had a good kick but not too spicey. If you go I would stick to seafood dishes and get plenty of bread!
Such a wonderful place -- great view, great staff, spotless restrooms, very good food. Only complaint is the blender at the bar. When a table ordered 2 drinks requiring such the blender noise took over the whole dining room at one recent lunch. It was horrific....
Went for Sunday brunch. Selection was good...food was good. Service could have been better. Waitress did not tell us about the drink special and charged us full price for bloody mary's. Came home saw an ad for unlimited during brunch for less. Called, and the credited our credit card...shouldn't have happened. Also waitress was covering more than one area. She'd disappear...
My husband and I were in the area for one night and were delighted to have found such a fantastic place. I read about it on line. My fish was soooo good (baked and stuffed with lobster). My husband had a steak and said it was greet also. We will go again when in the area.
We enjoyed sitting outside for a delightful dining experience. It was a quiet evening and we enjoyed the sunset. They have daily specials and I enjoyed the salmon special. Our meals were alright. It wasn't a spectacular dining experience in terms of the food but the environment makes up for it. It also had the marina so you can come via boat.
You really have to look for the Bayfront Bistro, but it's worth it! The staff was friendly and our server made great recommendations. We ordered the Lobster tortellini and the Mahi in banana leaves. Very delicious. The outside seating had a wonderful view and the inside atmosphere was welcoming. Nice wine list too! Prices are a little high, but overall we enjoyed our meal and dining experience.
Dined (dinner) here several times and generally very happy with the food. This most recent visit, not so much. Cioppino was tasteless with small, barely bite size, pieces of fish, a few mussels, and no shrimp. It was $34...expect much better at that price. Atmosphere and view are terrific, service was just fine.
This restaurant is deceptive from the outside but once inside and into the 2nd floor restaurant, the venue is lovely. The large dining space sitting directly on the bay is gorgeous and waterview tables are the best.
Our appetizers were good, however, the Asian-style calamari was somewhat "soppy" and abit too sweet. Unfortunately two of our 4 mains had problems. The Cioppino was inedible. While smothered in a red sauce, it was tasteless and the fish contents were either old or well frozen for too long also and had no flavor. The Grouper Udon was tastey, however, the udon noodles were not udon! They were wheat pasta noodles that appeared very similar to linguine. Manager adjusted our bill for price of the cioppino.
The view from the upper outdoor seating is great! The soup was served lukewarm, The entrees were only average, especially
for the price. The seafood pasta I could have better at home, and the grouper tasted like it had soy sauce poured over it.
For the money I'd rather go to the Bay House or Pazzo. And our server acted as if he would have rather been anywhere else.
Hubby & I showed up for an early dinner at 4:00, so we pretty much had our choice of tables. Beautiful views, excellent service, awesome food. Pricey, but worth it if you plan for it. Lunch might be a better choice budget-wise. We have no complaints whatsoever. Will go there again...Maybe lunch next time, and we'll bring some friends.
Visiting from PA, decided to eat at the Bayfront Bistro for a special treat. The view is gorgeous! Not a bad seat for viewing the bay while eating. Matt was our server and he was wonderful. Very knowledgable about the menu and made perfect suggestions. The food was delicious. The clam chowder was excellent and the butterfish was a tasty treat. My boyfriend had the filet, and Matt made sure it was cooked perfect. (He likes it still mooing) It was very tender and some of the better beef I've had. All together it was a wonderful night out and dolphins were even in the bay while we were eating dinner. All the staff seemed great, but I would request Matt again when going back. He was very attentive and made sure things were perfect.
