We have been wanting to try this place for some time. The food is veru good and the wait staff are very helpful. I was encouraged to see some other Indian patrons also eating there. There are several Indian restaurants in the area, but this place is by far the best Dont walk.. Run to eat here!

Not your ordinary Indian food in a young, modern (though a bit loud) atmosphere. Exotic cocktails with fun bites (get the shooters appetizer) started things off. Our server was always there when we needed him but never intrusive. The spice level was lively but not searingly hot—for me just the right amount. Too full to try dessert. We will be back!

Everything we have had here so far has been wonderful. We just love the lunch Thali, it's like an Indian bento box with the main course, rice, naan and sides. I enjoy them so much, I can't bring myself to order anything else. All of the choices have been delicious. My mother is not into Indian food, but enjoyed the masala lamb. Other family members have had the Mumbai Frankie roll and the masala quesadilla. I tasted them both and they were wonderful.

Our group of 4 was grateful to find this restaurant open on a Monday evening. It had a good selection of Indian dinners but were disappointed to be out of lamb. My wife made the mistake of ordering a beef dinner as a substitute. It was out of place in a tasty sauce. My shrimp biriyani was nicely prepared. The wait staff were attentive and helpful.

We were given a lunchtime reservation for 215 pm on Valentines Day and arrived to find the doors locked. A staff member came to the door to say that they close at 230, and because all other patrons had finished already they went ahead and closed, but they could make us a to go order if we wanted to wait…. outside! Why would the last lunch reservation be at 2:15 pm if you want to close at 230? We left worried that they holiday would keep us from being able to eat downtown without a reservation, but on the contrary, we walked in to a different restaurant that was fully staffed, so gracious, and the food was excellent.

This was my second visit to the restaurant and it did not disappoint. We arrived on time for our reservation for four for 5:45PM and were promptly seated. Our waiter, Chay introduced himself and assisted us with selection of cocktails, which were superb. We decided to take advantage of their prex fixe menu, so each of us ordered a different appetizer, entree, and naan. The appetizers included the short ribs, fried okra, tandoori shrimp, and crab lollipops. Amazing! Then entrees we’re delivered which included lamb chops, seafood and chicken tandoori grill, lamb vindaloo, and chicken tikka masala. Everything was fresh, warm, perfectly presented and amazingly delicious. The naans were delivered right from the oven: garlic naan, chili naan, and butter naan. All were superb. My compliments to our server Chay, who never left us unattended, the bartender, who created excellent cocktails, and to the chef for delivering a perfect meal. I can’t wait to return for my third visit!!

The gol gappa shots were delicious. Perfect pani! I got the dal makhani and my husband got the butter chicken both were fantastic and authentic tasting! The naan was so soft and perfectly chewy. Will definitely be going there again the next time I visit Birmingham!

I want to say first that we love the food. But, the water tasted like dirty dish water, no parking and service was slow. I will say we have not been to the downtown location in at least a year. We love the 280 location. I think we will just stick with going there. Hopefully, it was just an off night for the downtown location.

New to Indian cuisine and I have been craving it the past year. This is my first time at this restaurant. I was very happy with the amazing/ abundant food. We went for lunch and had the Jahli Jahli lunch options, Tiki Masala. Naan, basmati rice, tiki masala, sauces, a small honey soaked ball (looks like a donut circle), yoghurt was included. I couldn't finish my meal. It was delicious. The waiter was helpful but iffy about knowledge of the menu options. Since I am not knowledgeable of Indian cuisine, we wanted some Saag (Spinach dish) as a side just to share and taste test. The restaurant does not have side item options. Which is okay, considering the platter I ordered was enough to experience new foods. My husband came here for lunch prior to me and strongly recommended it. So now, I am recommending it.

This was my first time trying Indian cuisine, so I was a little nervous. The restaurant smells fantastic, of garlic and spices and is probably the cleanest place I've ever eaten! I let my server know it was our first time and she was really helpful in suggesting dishes to try. We got the chicken Tikka masala, the lamb vindaloo, and the tandoori chicken. She asked what spice level we were comfortable with, medium is good. I was so pleasantly surprised. Everything was fantastic, rich and flavorful and not too spicy. The naan was hot and buttery and perfect. I can't wait to go back and try something new!
