   Mediocre this time around. I am hopeful that it was just a bad night in the kitchen. The fish was tough and the chicken was dry. Additionally, the sweet waiter was excessively attentive. I know that they have to turn tables but we he wanted to take our order as soon as we sat down! We just wanted a few minutes to chat, enjoy a beverage and appetizer before ordering. We felt very pressured.

   We were not celebrating anything special - just a meal before a Pops concert. We have been to the Bay House on several occasions. Each time, we have enjoyed a great meal in a relaxing setting. I had the Steak Frites and my wife had the Blackened Salmon. My meal was prepared to my liking with a good deal of color to my steak. My wife commented that her salmon was perfectly prepared with it be neither over nor under cooked.

   Exceeded expectations! We were celebrating a special occasion but we are hooked and will absolutely continue to come for any occasion. Best dining experience in Erie hands down, Chef John Basco Jr has created something really special here!!

   The waitress was VERY informative and on her game. Food was awesome! Watched another customer send his steak back twice, even as Chef brought it out himself....I saw the fillet, I believe it was perfect! The best part was the smoky Old Fashion....the best ever! We don't usually spend that much when we go out, but it was my wife's birthday. We splurged and am very glad we did!!!!!

   Disappointed that the restaurant allowed no substitutions for a restaurant of this caliber to know allow a vegetable to be subbed for potato is shocking. They were happy to remove the potato from the dish but nope, would not sub anything.

   The service and atmosphere were generally good, but the overall dining experience was disappointing. We ordered the Rib Eye steak medium, but it was served rare. The meat quality didn’t match the price—it wasn’t tender, had several tough bites, and didn’t seem to be the full 18 ounces as advertised. The burnt ends were also underwhelming—not tender, and the sauce lacked flavor. I was looking forward to the blueberry mojito, but couldn’t order it because they were out of mint. Overall, we were expecting superb quality food for the price point, but it simply didn’t deliver. Would not return.
