We’re delighted to introduce Bavette. A neighbourhood bistro filled with warm engaging hospitality, with a menu of seasonally led classically driven dishes.

We hope to get that balance of generosity and quality right - that juxtaposition of every day special.

Bavette is a love letter to our favourite places we’ve been to and been lucky enough to be a part of.

We are delighted to announce that we are going to be open on Monday, 14th July evening for a special Bastille Day dinner. Last year was such a fun day, we’ve decided to make it an annual event here at Bavette. Bookings are now open for this 4-course set menu French extravaganza. As with last year, there’ll be a free welcome drink for anyone and everyone in French Fancy Dress. Vive La France, et Vive La République!

Another superb experience at Bavette! The menu was even more amazing than usual with our choices mackerel and crab tartlet for starters and divine turbot for our mains. Somehow we squeezed in a cheese board and frangipani tart! I love that these guys are absolutely not resting on their laurels and the tide of incredible reviews they have received, Clement and team are just as focused on providing a wonderful experience as they were during our first visit a year ago. Already looking forward to next visit and would encourage any lovers of fabulous food served in a friendly atmosphere to visit!

Exceptional food and wine. Turbot with potted shrimps was a highlight. Steak tartar also excellent.

Classic French dishes, cooked so well! The best boulangere potatoes I've ever had. Excellent friendly service and some interesting wines.

Outstanding service, food, drinks and overall dining experience. The menu is small but beautiful, and each dish we had was exceptional. The flavours and textures were incredible and complemented each other. We were greeted warmly and in a friendly manner, and the time taken to explain the menu to us was appreciated. We were never rushed, and the staff were attentive yet discreet. Horsforth is fortunate to have this restaurant, and I am certain we will return soon.

My daughter bought me a voucher for my birthday for this restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was gorgeous, especially the bavette steak and the carafe of red wine was excellent. The staff were lovely and friendly and we can’t wait to return.
