We’re delighted to introduce Bavette. A neighbourhood bistro filled with warm engaging hospitality, with a menu of seasonally led classically driven dishes.

We hope to get that balance of generosity and quality right - that juxtaposition of every day special.

Bavette is a love letter to our favourite places we’ve been to and been lucky enough to be a part of.

Uncomplicated, well executed food from excellent produce. The service is excellent, knowledgeable, informal and warm. An interesting drinks list, well priced.

My daughter bought me a voucher for my birthday for this restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was gorgeous, especially the bavette steak and the carafe of red wine was excellent. The staff were lovely and friendly and we can’t wait to return.

Exceptional food, wine and service again from the amazing team at Bavette. It was our second time visiting the restaurant and it was even better than our first. We were welcomed and congratulated on our 25 anniversary with a complimentary glass of fizz and had a fantastic experience. The eggs with anchovies were stunning, the comte croquettes were fabulous, the crab tart was delicious and the sirloin steak to share was one of the best we have ever eaten. The potatoes dauphinoise were sublime - again the best we have ever had. The desserts were fabulous - especially the St Emilion au chocolat and both bottles of wine we complimented our meal perfectly! Thank you again for a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary and we can wait to come back again!

This is a lovely French restaurant with very friendly and professional staff, who were very knowledgable. Excellent wine selection but pricy, it could do with a lower cost choice. Lovely bread and the crème brûlée was excellent! They could do with a specials board otherwise, the menu is a bit limited so maybe wouldn’t want to visit too often without knowing there were other food options. That being said, we’d highly recommend it!

Excellent from start to finish- food is prepared and presented with care and attention and is best quality. Try the Bavette as it’s surprisingly good and the chips are to die for!

We chose the vegetation option for the main (tarte fine), had a baguette for starter and the isle of white tomatoes. The baguette was great and the isle of white tomatoes starter was fresh and full of flavour, I could have had a whole plate of this. The main was a little underwhelming, a lot of pastry with ricotta which doesn't naturally have much flavour. The sauce was delightful and the artichokes and courgette were cooked to perfection on top. For £21 I think it's fair to say I'd like a bit more of an out-there, interesting/creative meal. Would definitely return to try a different vegetarian option, but wouldn't have the tarte fine again. Thanks!!

Wonderful date night spot, will be back! Delicious food and great wine on offer. The team were all super knowledgeable and answered any questions regarding ingredients. Well worth a visit!

Lovely three course dinner on my wife's birthday. We're new arrivals in Leeds and Bavette was recommended' Beautiful presentation, wonderful mix of flavours and textures in each course, very knowledgeable and attentive staff. Wine from the family vineyard is also worth trying Particularly recommend the fish Sandy's and his kitchen crews cooking (and its a disservice to call it that) is spot on and Clement is a charming host
