   Loved our experience at Bavel! The service was fun, friendly, professional! This was one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. Food was phenomenal. We love to try incredible, innovative, exciting restaurants and this exceeded our expectations! We sat at the counter and were welcomed and catered to the entire night.

   Food was great, perfectly executed, but not fussy. Somm informative, but overall staff was stretched; the place (at 6PM!) was jammed. Noise is an issue: festive diners topped by occasionally deafening music. At one point we asked that the volume be reduced after it had been bumped, and it was.

   Absolutely incredible from start to finish! A perfect birthday spot. Never seen a staff having more fun. We sat at the counter and loved it! Baba Ganoush, celery root, mushrooms, and dorade were major highlights!

    The food continues to be amazingly delicious at Bavel. The classics like the shrimp and the humus are beyond better than at other restaurants versions of humus and spicy shrimp… it’s the ingredients and the care they put into everything that takes the food to another level. The Malawach is so flaky and when you mix it with the dip, the combo of textures is other worldly. The farmers cheese sounds blah but you owe it to your self to be transported to heaven by this smooth version… so mućh flavor! And the apple prune cake is super duper yum! Oh— don’t forget cocktails! So much fun. This is just a total hit… every time.

    I loved the food! The music they were playing was pretty douchey techno though, kinda killed the ambiance, and the music was way too loud. Also, this guy kept coming and taking away our plates and utensils and replacing them with new ones, even though we were still using them. And he kept wiping down the table for us. I felt like either they were trying to hurry us through our meal, or they thought we were slobs. I'm not used to that. Also he took my cocktail and my spoon when I went to the bathroom and I couldn't finish my dessert or have my last sip of mezcal... The food was amazing, but I'm not planning to go back.

    Bavel was an incredible authentic and luxurious Mediterranean meal! I was simply blown away by their signature entree and the shared appetizers although appearing simple were herbaceous and delicious! The service was very attentive and helpful in suggesting adjustments for portioning.

    This was a great place to go for celebration. The ingredients were fresh. The dishes were well executed. There isn't a single dish we had ordered that didn't like. Our waiter was helpful in pointing out the popular dishes as well as the restaurant's underrated dishes. This place is great to go with 4 and more people. There is just so much to have and so many more to try.

    Awesome food with inventive flavors. My two vegan friends struggled a little with the lack of main dishes, but we got there in the end with some fish and lots of Apps instead. We got there at 5.30 on a sunday and by 730 it was packed - so a good vibe but busy and a little loud, but not too much for us. The wait staff were fabulous and really knew their stuff - all in all, worth the trek from WeHo to this great restaurant!

    Seated us over an hour late for our reservation … 3rd time this has happened to us. By the time we sat they ran out of half the entrees and some appetizers. Hostesses were SO RUDE … DID NOT CARE. Manager’s excuse for staffs attitude was they’re stressed… lol.

    Took a while to get our table...but the wait was worth it. Food, service, and drinks all outstanding. Lamb shawarma was amazing, so was the dorado. Duck hummus and pita were fabulous.

    Everything was excellent. Exceptional service. Mushroom kabob and celery root were notable favorites. I would pass on the Farm Cheese next time - the buckwheat sourdough was great but the cheese was like elevated cream cheese - would have preferred something else. Loud in there - came home hoarse from shouting throughout dinner. But an amazing and memorable meal overall.

    A bit overrated. So much talk about this spot. Reservations are hard to come by. The food was good, but very dressed up. Sometimes good food speaks for itself without all the fuss. Drinks were decent. Atmosphere is pretty. Company is good. It’s a nice spot to say you’ve been and had a good meal.

    Will start by sharing that all three diners have dying to hear previously about a year ago and had a very positive experience overall. The host was aggressive when my sister, who walked in after we’ve arrived, asked for our table, and he rudely replied, pointing to our table. “Can’t you see them sitting there?” Food - everything was delicious; except the new duck dish which was inedible due to odd flavor and rubbery texture. When we asked for an additional serving of white rice because we were three people, the server told us that it was not possible. He told us that there was a fixed allotment of white rice for the tagine dish. Drinks - server said no modifications were allowed to cocktails when we asked to switch vodka for tequila in one of the libations. Server - extremely fake and off putting. At one point, my husband caught him smiling while walking away from our table and quickly dropped his expression to a look of judgment and disgust at us.

    Food was delicious! We were late to our reservation but they were accommodating and communicated when we needed to wrap up so they could honor the next reservation (which was appreciated!). Yummy yummy food, ideal to go with several people so you can share and try multiple things. The only thing was it felt like the server was pressuring to order more dishes and kept pressing us to get the most expensive item on the menu, the tomakawk steak (which looked delicious, but we had our eyes on the lamb, yummmm). Other then that, definitely recommend and will be back for sure!

    We ate in many great restaurants while in the LA area, but absolutely none came close to the quality of the food, the presentation, the staff knowledge and the service. Amazing! We all agreed that it was the best meal we have had in the last couple of years!
