Enjoyed a nice food experience with our son at Bavel. I came here once before and enjoyed every dish.
Wishing Bavel the best for the next three weeks shutdown. I felt safe eating in their outdoor dining and it appears they are following all the CDC guidelines. We look forward to our next reservation.

Overall it was a great meal. Some portions were small and the prices were a tad high. Wine list expensive for what it is. Great flavors and great presentation.

Excellent service and the food was super delicious and unique. They have an extensive yet not too complex drink menu. Would highly recommend if you're in LA.

Everything we tried on the menu was fantastic. Restaurant is very vegetarian friendly. The more people you bring the more dishes you can try since it’s family style. A must try restaurant!

I love this restaurant but unfortunately our experience this go was not great. The food was way over salted and under par of what it typically is. We felt very rushed. We knew that there was a 90min time limit but the staff kept coming to our table when we still had food on our plate to ask to take it away within the first 30 minutes of eating. It was literally every 5 minutes that they came and would ask if they could take our cocktail or plate away when we were obviously still working on it. we were not able to be left alone to enjoy our food without constant interruption. Right at the 90 minute mark, even though there were 3 tables that were not seated around us, the hostess came up and asked us to leave the space. It was such a cold, rushed, unsettling and unpleasant experience all around. I know we are all struggling with covid but it doesnt mean that food needs to be less quality and service needs to be rude, if anything I feel like we need to come together and support each other with kindness. Unfortunately, we will not be going back.

The management is being unreasonably stubborn with some ridiculous rules they have setup about seating arrangement concerning the pandemic, and are falsely claiming that they are so called "CDC Rules".

My dad and I both had tables because we were a family of 7 and they don’t do parties larger then 6 per table. We didn’t ask for special service or to bend rules or push tables together or seat us all together. All we asked us our tables be next to each other(yes still 6 feet apart). But they went out of their way to separate us. They sat one of us in the indoor patio then the next group all the way outside on the other side of the restaurant saying they don’t want us getting up talking to each other. Very insulting and disrespectful as if we are not respectable mature adults. That’s just rude and inconsiderate. We all know covid is serious but if your going to open for business learn to provide some customer service and accommodate your customers as long as it’s safe. Food was good but will not be returning due to the principal of being treated that way,

Absolutely loved it. Service was above and beyond, food was so good and well seasoned. The portions are shareable and the drinks were delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

Our food and waitress were great, the only disappointment was the Sommelier. We were celebrating my birthday and decided to order a bottle of wine. We tried a bit and realized it had gone bad and the sommelier was clearly offended when we told him about it.
He came back with a different bottle and told us that "This is the style of wine we do here, and the last bottle was perfectly fine"in a condescending manner and continued to "school" us on a the grapes from my husbands hometown. Even it the first bottle was fine (which was not) I wasn't in the mood to argue over a bottle of wine. Other than that I enjoyed my meal.

Food was amazing...tad pricey, $70 for lamb chops was a bit much and they ran out of other courses so we were forced to order them.

Crudo, hummus, shrimp, bread, and drinks absolutely 5 star!

Food was amazing was always but it was freezing. If Bavel expects to realistically operate during the winter then they need to place more outdoor heaters. Service was also rushed and they were taking our food before we even finished at times. Makes me doubtful that we’d come back for outdoor dining if this is the case.

I was given some modified vegan options. I wish they had some kind of vegan protein like tempeh or tofu and a nice varied salad with more veggies for the vegan. I was able to get the smoked cauliflower appetizer and salad modified for vegans. I also got the hummus dish. That's about all that I was able to get as a vegan. I am not big on starch so the veggies were pretty good. My young daughters ordered the main entree and they didn't finish their entrees. The entrees were limited to meat dishes.
Service was good. I appreciate the ambience.

This was a great spot for a saturday night dinner with friends. The music was perfect! Our food was absolutely amazing!! I will absolutely be returning. We had a great time, wait staff was very helpful.

The food was fantastic! Loved our server, Phoebe. She was so sweet and helpful. My only complaint was how cold it was. It was a cool night, but the heater situation was a joke. There were only two for a huge patio! However, because of the mandated time constraints, we were in and out in 90 minutes so dealt with the cold in exchange for the best food in LA!

The food was good especially the Straberry and sumac sweet cheese pastry. I would be a regular if I didn't live so far away. Really wish I had that recipe since I been craving another one of those pastry. Would definitely recommend anyone to try this restaurant

Everything was great but had an issue with the maitre d in the beginning. We we’re enjoying a drink around the corner before dinner, then got a text that our table was ready well before the reservation. We went over to the restaurant and she sat us early but in a pretty undesirable area. Meanwhile, in the reservation request I said it was a special bday and that any extra hospitality would be much appreciated. We asked if we could sit elsewhere and would be find to wait a beat. She accommodated after 25 mins (10-15 mins after our actual/original made reservation time) but looked at us like we had three heads at first. Just a lil attitude. The waiter and somm were great. Just felt a little pushed aside and rushed at first by the front office...

I’m sure when there isn’t a pandemic and LA temps aren’t hitting in the 40s at night, this dining experience would be more enjoyable and food would have stayed hotter longer. We were seated under a white tent that did not have any heat lamps and they ran out of blankets. If I had known I was going to be seated in a section without any heat lamps, I would have gone somewhere else.

Service was a bit off. We had to ask for place settings after our first dish arrived. When we sat down we requested blankets, but no one came back to our table to inform us they ran out. I guess we just needed to figure it out or ask the table next to us.

The food was as excellent as I remembered, which is the real reason we went. I would go back when it’s warmer or when in room dining becomes available again.

Blerim is an excellent server; he has always made our experience feel more meaningful and personal. We had to wait an extra long time for our table to be available due to previous diners lingering past their 90-minute seating, but the manager brought us complimentary champagne when we were finally seated, which was very much appreciated. And, as ever, the food is incomparable! But please don't go to Bavel. Reservations are already too difficult to get!

Amazing food! The homemade pita bread made our night. On the pricey side however we dined here for my partner’s birthday and was completely worth the splurge. During COVID they have outdoor seating in the sidewalk which is not as nice but understandable and just glad they are taking lots of precaution.

This place is always been amazing but I have not been back during this pandemic till the other day and they ran out of the main course meal that I was craving which is the lamb shank and the food was not exactly the same taste as I expected to be and used to having it maybe I could be wrong but I would definitely give them another shot because I miss eating here hopefully next time the food will be on point

Really an amazing time! They were very accommodating when we asked for another table and when our drinks took longer than expected our waiter kindly comped them. The music was a great vibe as well. Loved it!

This is a great restaurant with quality food and outstanding service. Mediterranean isn't my favorite cuisine, so it's hard for me to give this 5 stars, but if that is your style, you will love it. The mushroom/oyster dish was my favorite, but the scallops and the hummus are delicious as well. I'm not a fan of lamb, but if I was, the lamb flatbread and the lamb shank would be incredible!

We had an amazing time at Bavel. Food was great. We would have loved it sit on one of the decks instead of near the parking lot because we had car lights were right in our eyes every time someone parked. So if you want to make a reservation, request to be seated on the deck. Overall it was still a good experience. The food made up for it.
