    Authentic food offerings were excellent at our table, as was the waitress. Very busy due to their Oktoberfest offering on the grounds along with soccer games on all fields. Parking was at a premium, again.

    Everything was decent, but nothing was great, except the 1/2 price house liters of beer. We had a sausage plate, the salmon and pork chops. The mashed potatoes were cold on everyone's plates; the salmon came with a side of creamed spinach that would be more accurately described as fresh spinach with some of the caper gravy over it, and the pork chops were ok. It felt like we were eating at a hospital cafeteria. But the beer was good and the ambiance was a nice way to kick off Oktoberfest.

    Overall, it was a great experience. The server was a bit slow, but we learned afterward that he was fairly new and learning. So we will cut some slack.

    I’m sure our experience was unique as this place comes so highly recommended from so many friends. That said: 4 adults and 2 kids for dinner. 3 adult meals burnt/overcooked till hard (2x schnitzel and 1 perogee, those wouldn’t cut even with a steak knife!). Kids burgers burnt and Mac and cheese so thick it was chewy. Server excellent but way over committed on tables. Handed us our receipt and then we waited almost 10 minutes to give him our CC so we could leave. Finally I went and stopped him mid floor to handle it. Offered a replacement meal for perogees and adult choose a kids Mac and cheese as it could be “immediately ready”. Just as thick and chewy, but we weren’t charged for it nor the perogees. As it was a birthday (86 yo) dinner we needed to eat so just went at it as best as we could. One bright spot (other then server)? The cheese curds!! Looked wierd - tasted amazing!! Would try here once more before recommending or not.

    My wife’s shank was extremely dry. Very little gravy and no horseradish. My pierogi were extremely tough. Daughters burger was burnt and dry. Server was great and the music was good as well.

    Fun Beerhall and great food: We really enjoyed the fun atmosphere and great food at this Hofbrau-like beer hall. We had the baked fish (cod) and it was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant for a fun and casual evening meal in the Milwaukee area.

    We took out of family for a German food experience and were mortified. A sarcastic waitress and for the 4 of us who ordered schnitzel, it was tough and overdone. None of us had more than 2 bites and declined take home

    This is a big, noisy bierstube. It features the excellent beers and food of genuine German bierstubes, but is also a very modern American micro brewery. It's a strange ambiance, but at Bavarian Bier Haus, it makes for a successful marriage! I've never had a bad meal there. Do not miss this one!

    Supposedly this is what it's like in Germany at a Biergarten. Up until last year, I always took their word for it, and enjoyed it for what it was. Then last year, I actually got to go to Germany and spend time in several Biergarten, then returned here last week. Now I can say for certain that I felt that I was back in Germany - the layout, the atmosphere, the Bier, the food, the music, the "Gemutlichkeit" song - EVERYTHING took me back across time and sea to Bavaria (Munich, especially)!!

    We thought our pork shank was old and dried out, like it’s been sitting there for a long time, We did like the french onion soup, and the service was good. Love the entertainment and decor to.

    Originally was going for the fish fry, but changed my mind and got German food. Some dishes were good, but others not so good. The main course came out way too fast (at the same time is the appetizers). The sauerbraten was too thick, too dry, and not enough sauce. The music was entertaining however, it was too loud in the one large room. We ordered a salad but it was not brought to the table and I decided not to ask for it however we were charged for it. I won't be going back here again.

    Service wasn’t very attentive after we received our food - Never came back to ask how it was - wasn’t asked if we needed refills until we were done eating- it was not busy- food was good , nothing to brag about overall-

    We had the Mother’s Day buffet and I enjoyed the sausages, and beer cheese soup, but everything else was pretty much average. We still had a good time with family, and will give the fish fry a try sometime.

    I usually love the food here, but the Mother’s Day buffet was very disappointing. The meat was all very odd tasting. I don't quite know what was wrong with it, but there was something very off-putting. A dessert table was advertised, but there were only 2 types of dessert, and both were utterly unappetizing. I took my mother and sister to celebrate, but ended up apologizing, even though I paid.

    We went here for the first time for our daughter’s college graduation celebration. The food, entertainment and service was phenomenal. The price was very reasonable for all the food and drinks we had. Everyone had such a great time. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. We will for sure be back.

    Great service though I don’t recall our server's name. The hostess was Also very accommodating to change our table on the original location was right next to the stage it would be difficult for our family. The food was good, but a child size fish fry/baked fish option would be a nice addition opposed to adult size/cost.

    Food was a bit pricey, but very good. Best Milwaukee-brewed Kolsch I've had. Next time I will try the fish fry, which is served daily.

    Appetizers came out shortly after ordered. Food was okay. The cheeseburger bottom bun was soggy and falling apart. It was difficult to hold. The fried cod/french fries were good. The baked cod was good but the applesauce was room temperature and a small portion. I wouldn't recommend the potato pancake. It was thin, rubbery, cold and more pancake than potato. Our server was friendly. The had live music.

    The 2-man band was WAY TOO LOUD. They were not good m, just loud! Too much base and when asked to have them turn down the music it didn’t happen. We had our 20 month old grand daughter there and it was way too loud for her developing ears. What were you all thinking?! 6 pm is family time for dinner NOT young adults or adults or even older adults!! TURN IT DOWN!!

    We love coming here, especially with big groups and our kids. We danced to the live music, had delicious food, and great service .. all for reasonable prices. This continues to be a favorite for our family!

    We had reservations for 5:15 on a Friday. Table was ready and we were quickly seated. Server was efficient. Food came in less than 10 minutes once order placed. Live music was good but a bit loud for trying to have a conversation during our meal. Cheesecake was excellent, creamy and a large slice with strawberries on the side as requested. I had called twice to make reservations and left voicemails with no return calls. I found out I was able to make online reservations by going to open table vs on the restaurant’s website.

    We had a great time! The food was delicious! The service was excellent! The only thing that could have been better was that there wasn’t a boot for the birthday guy to drink from! It was all top notch! No one in our party of 14 had ever been there before and we will all definitely be back!

    Day and time: Sunday 2 pm. We had a party of 7, including 4 seniors and 2 kids. We totally qualified for 50% discount for seniors, but I forgot to ask and the server didn’t care to offer. They have a Kid’s menu, but we learned about it too late, only after we received our order. All food was over-salted. The wine and house beer were pretty good. We ordered walleye, but they brought a perch instead without explanation. The perch was very good. I didn’t know it was a perch until I looked at the receipt. Nice touch, we left our flowers at the table and the waiter brought them to the car outside. Thanks again, Maverick! Overall, 2 out of 5.

    We had such a great dinner with our party - 4 adults and 3 kids! Love the musicians (accordion and guitar), beer was plentiful and cold, food was fantastic! Excellent time!

    It’s a great family atmosphere. The food is delicious and the service is phenomenal. The only thing a bit disappointing is the long tables make it hard for someone on opposite ends to have a conversation. I don’t see a solution other than round tables which would cut down on capacity though. We did have a wonderful time and the entertainment was fun!

    The overall ambiance was great fun and everyone enjoyed the music and atmosphere. However, the food was not good. The bier cheese soup was not edible. To salty with the texture of wallpaper paste. Was not able to taste any beer or cheese in it because of the saltiness of it. Hubby’s pork loin was actually hard on the ends and the potatoe dumpling was inedible, as was the sour kraut. Issues with the schnitzel included one tasted fine, but the other had an unpleasant taste of Parmesan Cheese!Everyone in our group had issues with the food not being good. I want to stress this had NOTHING to do with our server. She was very nice and worked very hard to serve us and the other customers she had. We have been here before and had great food so this was very disappointing. Someone at the table said that they thought that because of it being so hard to get help that maybe the kitchen was understaffed and overwhelmed. For what we paid for our meal we felt we got subpar food. As I said there were many issues with the food and if you would like more information on it please reach out to me.
