Bâton Rouge Steakhouse & Bar - Complexe Desjardins Ratings and Reviews
I was very disappointed! Baton Rouge used to be one of my favourite restaurants. Sad to see that the quality of the food has gone way down! My Caesar salad was soggy, not crisp and fresh. The ribs had a funny taste, even their sauce was not the same. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria that had no flavour, was like watered down wine. And the price they charge is ridiculous! When I pay that kind of money, I expect good quality! The only thing I liked was the service, our waiter was extremely nice. Unfortunately I won’t be going back, what a shame!
Our server was efficient and knowledgeable, the service however, when the team concept was applied was not very good. Items were forgotten, served late, plates were given incorrectly, but I credit our server who was always playing catch up and trying to correct problems. The food really wasn't very good, the vegetables were under cooked, the rice over cooked, the fries were cold and I legitimately think that our filet mignons were sirloins. We had opera tickets so we ate and left but we were all (4 people) disappointed. I have been to Baton Rouge before and the food is usually much better. maybe it was just an off night. At least the Opera was really good afterwards.
It's was the best food/steak I had in the past 2 years for sure. The place was gorgeous the staff excellent and very friendly.im from Moncton and we don't have a Baton Rouge so now I'm counting down the days until we get one and I'm praying that the food is just as good.
All 4 of our dishes were delicious. My Louisiana chicken salad was great, my daughter had filet mignon which we all tried and loved. The others had ahi tuna which was perfectly prepared. The waiter was going as fast as he could but we had to wait a bit to be able to pay our bill. Overall, great experience!
Perfect location for dinner prior to attending a Just for Laughs show. Food and drinks were a little more pricey than at other restaurants, but quite fair by Montreal standards. We ordered the ribs, and the club sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both meals were fine, but nothing exceptional. The staff were very friendly and professional.
We go to different Baton Rouge locations all the time. We chose this restaurant at Complexe because we had a show.
We ordered fried calamari for the entrees. The portions were half the size than what we are used to getting at BR.
I ordered the Louisiana salad. Found the chichen mediocre and dry. Dressing was put on salad in circlular motion . Terrible presentation. Looked like zero effort was put into preparing it!
My husband had ribs and he also was disappointed in the portion size. Said they were just inundated with sauce.Next time i am in Quartier des Spectacle, I will not go to Baton Rouge. Service was very good though. But quality of food vs price was not impressive.
